  1. Nobody claimed it was a red card offence. The player in question had already been booked and then committed an IMO deliberate foul on the edge of the box in order to deny a goal scoring opportunity.
  2. No I'm one of those out there supporting the game at grassroots level week in week out rather than sitting behind my phone/tablet/keyboard denigrating anyone who doesn't use the latest jargon.
  3. It speaks volumes when even the defender knows he's walking for a last man challenge but stays on the park. I thought Currie was given a straight red for his comments after the penalty claim and the awarding of a free kick from the position he made the comments is a new one for me but presumably is in the rulebook. The teams pretty much cancelled each other out, both sides seemed content for the other to play in their own half. The wind did spoil the game a bit and I don't think many Rose fans will have an issue with the result, merely the referee. Craig Napier, what a clown! Edit - That must also be the first game for some considerable time when we haven't been favourites and there was no expectation that we'd win.
  4. Unlikely seeing as most of the Council owned parks in the East already have them.
  5. He was at Bonnyrigg as part of Dave White's coaching staff but left when Robbie Horn made his return.
  6. So we can either presume Dundonald have obtained their licence in the past week or so or that the Fife FA is taking a more pragmatic view than the SFA are.
  7. Played at Bonnyrigg for a bit before going amateur with Sandys.
  8. He'll be signing for whoever offers him the most money.
  9. Couldn't have summed it up any better. Would only add that the referee today was utterly hopeless.
  10. Here's hoping Whitehill have to borrow Bonnyriggs ground to play their Scottish Cup 1st round tie that the BBC want to show on a Friday night!
  11. Yep because no other team in the history of sport has ever done anything similar.
  12. No idea, just copied the link from the evening news website. The other link thats been in use up til now is https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/brfcfloodlightappeal?utm_term=WqJb4EaRx
  13. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/brfcmayappeal?utm_term=AE2nX5xkJ Crowdfunding page now up and running.
  14. There are some utterly shameful admissions there that show how far out of touch they are with the game they are supposed to oversee. The whole saga has shown that the SFA are unaware of their own rules and it doesn't look like that's changed in any way over the past week or so.
  15. Ultimately I don't think it'll make any difference and that the SFA will stick with their original decision which any sane person knows is wrong. I hope I'm proved wrong and our appeal is successful but at the moment I'm expecting us to be playing in the EoS Premier next season.
  16. Our last home game is tomorrow so as long as the contractor is lined up it could start anytime.
  17. In which case the board will be able to produce a detailed minute of the meeting at which they discussed whether or not derogation was possible having taken into account the circumstances of each club... ... Or maybe not
  18. LTHV hadn't applied for their licence though.
  19. Not 100% sure whether you're trolling or just don't know. Bonnyrigg submitted an application for derogation in respect of the floodlights. The clubs were then strung along by the SFA who refused to grant any licenses or give any indication of when decisions might be made. All of the clubs hands were tied, as they had been all season, by the intransigence of the sports governing body. Indeed the top 2 essentially stood in front of the gathered EoS delegates at Easter Road and claimed they had no idea when decisions would be made when the cynic in me suggests they know fine well what was happening. The SFA probably hoped that either Broxburn or Penicuik would win the play off to avoid this situation (or more likely couldn't care less and hoped the clubs would just accept what they said).
  20. And a pitch that was full of sand and was more ploughed field that bowling green when we played there.
