  1. I know, that's why I suggested playing Kelty next week half a dozen posts ago.
  2. We don't have a free Saturday until the middle of January. The Kelty game has to be moved as the 23rd is the 3rd round of the Scottish.
  3. I 'think' our only other unscheduled game is the cup tie against Stirling Uni but they have a league game against East Kilbride unless they draw with Linlithgow tomorrow.
  4. Bonnyrigg and Kelty both idle next week after today's results. Might as well fit in the game that needs to be postponed on 23 November.
  5. Good to see that the club has already upgraded the floodlights in advance of the expected change in licensing.
  6. Today was a fixture where Whitehill needed to pick up 3 points and give themselves a little breathing space. There's still a long way to go, but at this early stage it's looking like another long season in Rosewell.
  7. All we can do is take one game at a time. Professional performance today, looked good at the back and going forward. Referee awarded EK a penalty at 1-0 which was correctly overturned after discussion with the linesman. Thought EK were perhaps a little unlucky to have the man sent off. It was a poor late challenge after play had stopped but not sure it was a straight red. Few players found it difficult to stay on there feet early on and both goalkeepers certainly earned their wages.
  8. Yes, 18 players on £100 a week, plus manager and coaches, plus bonuses is an easy £80k and there are plenty players earning more than that.
  9. I'd say half the clubs in the league would be double that. Your at least £75 a week to meet minimum wage unless your players are signed on amatuer contracts.
  10. I believe its a continuation of the injury he picked up last season and the liklihood is that an operation is required to sort it out.
  11. Also looks like we might be in the market for another striker with McGachie looking like he'll be out for the season.
  12. First half we had the better of the play, second half we were poor and a draw would have been no surprise but we managed to escape with 3 points. I thought your Number 5 looked decent but was too easily muscled off the ball for our second goal and despite his stature the lad up front looked like he has a decent touch. The park was in need of a cut although I'm guessing you've had a fair bit of rain down that way over the last few days that prevented the lawnmower coming out.
  13. Scottish Cup game all ticket. Can't imagine it's for capacity reasons, although would be nice to think so, but more to do with getting people into the ground for kick off.
  14. This is basic basic stuff. Talbot have been decent but Kelty have been utter pish.
  15. Spin it any way you want but the bottom line is that the self interest of the SJFA blazers is now costing clubs in the West cold hard cash.
  16. They haven't, they've simply vetoed the absurdly ridiculous proposal that was put forward and offered a workable alternative which the SJFA, for reasons unknown, has decided doesn't suit their agenda.
  17. 3 goals, 3 points, clean sheet and decent attendance. Can't really ask for much more. Should have scored more but didnt. Missed (or did the keeper get a touch) a penalty in the first half. Good performance and most importantly another 3 points in the bag.
  18. Bonnyrigg were just better, created more chances, closed down quickly, retained possession well. Don't think our keeper actually made a save. Cumbernauld look decent up front and certainly have the ability to create chances but they just had no answer tonight, they didn't appear to have any Plan B when things weren't going there way.
  19. Updated odds, not a whole lot of E/W value in there at the moment.
  20. Where you get your travel costs subsidised and prize money in each round.
  21. 3 goals, 3 points, clean sheet and decent attendance. Can't really ask for much more. Bonnyrigg in total control throughout, perhaps should have tested the keeper more in the first half but all said and done we're still top of the league.
  22. Looks like this was a great decision, I see Blantyre have called off their game today due to a waterlogged park.
  23. I think the game against yourselves was pretty much his final game last season after he injured himself in training. Only making a couple of fleeting substitute appearances afterwards. We played another 20 games after that and didn't do too badly so I guess there must have been a plan b after all.
