Is that not what the commentator said though? He was suggesting if they went and kicked a point then that onside kick would have happened exactly like it did? If I’ve taken that totally differently then I shall quite happily admit I’ve made a total arse of myself over the last few pages!

I’m pretty sure Tony Romo was going on about how if they had went for the extra point then they would have been in a great field position off of that onside kick?

And that was my point. The commentators were going on as if they went for one the same thing would have happened. Which it wouldn’t have.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t have gone for an onside kick. I was just annoyed at the commentators suggesting that the same outcome of that onside kick would have happened if they went for one point or two, which it clearly wouldn’t have.

And you’re right it wouldn’t have been.

It annoys me that commentators, not just in the NFL, but in general think that if something that happened in the past was different then the same outcome would still be reached. It’s just complete nonsense.

If they went for 1 point instead of going for two that would have changed the outcome of that onside kick. They would still have tried the same play but there is no guarantee of the same thing happening.

Well no, if they kicked a field goal instead of going for 2 literally everything is different. They would have still tried the same play but there would have been absolutely no guarantee that the exact same thing would have happened.

Because every decision changes based on what has happened.

Madness, especially when they then recover the onside kick. No, not especially that they recovered the onside kick. If they went for one point that offside kick would never have happened.

Ugh, I hate the commentators thinking if they scored an extra point instead of going for two that the offside kick would still have worked.

Thank f**k for Hardman making that fumble right at the start. It’s the only thing thats kept the game interesting, the Bills need to have a hell of an improvement in the second half.

What’s the difference between that penalty and the one last week?

Rooney was described as exactly that when we got him from Queens and in the first season he was average. He looked great going forward but couldn’t defend. During his time with us his defending improved a lot and though I haven’t seen him play for St Johnstone I’ve no doubt he has probably become a better player too.

I’ve no idea what it is, no doubt Robertson plays a part in it but it seems to happen with every manager we have.

We managed to get Jordan White a contract at a Motherwell team who finished third in the Premiership last year so it wouldn’t be the strangest thing for him to turn up for us and be a totally different player.
