Kissinger - where can I talk about him
senorsoupe replied to Kyle Reese's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
I don't normally cheer people's death but Kissinger is an exception. I don't think I've been this happy to see someone dead since Thatcher died -

Also, the fact that Man U paid 44 million for Andre Onana will never not be funny

I think it's pretty common among people who grew up or got into football when Man U and their fans were lording over everyone. I started watching in the late 90's when the games first started being shown on TV here in Canada and the bandwagon Man U fans were insufferable and the media were constantly fawning over them. Beckham in particular I hated with a passion because of that

Eidur Gudjohnsen vs Leeds was as pure an overhead kick as you will see

Tottenham under Ange Postecoglu is going pretty much the way I expected Tottenham under Ange Postecoglu to go. Exciting football, but concede a lot of goals and can't hold leads. Good fun to watch, but they likely won't win any silverware

That should have been 3-1, great work by McGinn but Watkins should have scored
-
Great goalkeeping by Martinez to keep it 2-1

Incredible that a team could spend infinity billion pounds on players to achieve this level of shitness

Newcastle's "Staggering injury crisis" is not nearly as much of a crisis as Chelsea's staggering Chelsea crisis

And Chelsea are imploding again LOL

Newcastle having four senior goalies in their matchday squad today is quite amusing to me

That's the right decision, Akanji clearly impeded Allison

Canada had a chance to make the semi-finals of the Nations League tonight by seeing the tie against Jamaica over the line. We won the first leg in Jamaica 2-1 and held a 1-0 lead at halftime of the second leg. 3-1 up after 3/4 of the tie and looking good.... Then we shat the bed. Jamaica came out flying and quickly reminded everyone that Alastair Johnston is our only competent defender. Leon Bailey hitting the bar should have been a warning sign to our interim coach Mauro Biello to make smart changes and do something to manage the game but that didn't happen and Shamar Nicholson punished us twice in the space of 5 minutes to level the tie. Isma Kone put us back ahead before we conceded a penalty for a handball (which was a bit soft but a penalty by the letter of the law) that was duly conceded by Bobby Decordova-Reid. Unfortunately for us, CONCACAF are again being late to realize that the away goals rule is bullshit and so we went out on the away goals rule. I am pretty frustrated right now at the spineless collapse
