  1. Can play LB/RB or up either wing. Plays with loads of passion, you’ll love him. Absolute legend of a player.
  2. That’s the social club of the original football club from the 1920’s and 30’s. They gave the current club permission to become Edinburgh City but there’s no further connection than that.
  3. Consistently good CB, has been with us for a few seasons. Will do a good job for you, gutted to see him go.
  4. I think you underestimate the ill feeling we have for those B-Team shagging ar**holes in Pilton.
  5. Don’t know if you’ve seen it already, despite the score, it might be worth watching our highlights from last week against Falkirk. McNeil with a very deserving fans MOTM performance.
  6. Andy Graham looking to have that new manager bounce to creep towards the play off places while Michael McIndoe looks for his second league win to try and close that gap at the bottom of the table . The last game ended 1-1, so another tight game expected. Hopefully a narrow win for City.
  7. There was quite a few of us there. I think it was a worthwhile exercise, gave McIndoe a chance to tinker in a ‘competitive’ match without much consequence. Handling, Gormley and Fontaine all starting and the latter staying on for the full 90 minutes. I get that Bonnyrigg played 8 under 20s compared to our fairly strong side but it was a good morale booster to see a comfortable win considering the season we’ve had. The other semi final is meant to be Kelty Hearts v University of Stirling but god knows when that is. It’s always difficult to pin down what’s happening in that competition.
  8. I genuinely thought we had a chance of taking something from this game until the 2nd penalty. (The first being a perfectly good save from the line but ordered to be re-taken) Things seem to fall apart soon after and then some of the most bizarre substitutions I’ve ever seen at a game. It’ll be interesting to hear McIndoe’s post match interview after the confident one he gave last week and explaining that shambles at the end.
  9. Love the optimism, especially where we were a few weeks ago I think the most optimistic I’m willing to be at the moment is 8th considering the start we had but let’s hope you’re right. I think a win is achievable here but it’s going to be a tough one.
  10. Talking to myself in this thread , I’ll put it down to Annan fans travelling back and City fans celebrating. Finally got our first win and leaving St Johnstone as the last team in the SPFL without a win. Really thought we were going to struggle with Ryan Shanley being suspended for this but ended up being a very well deserved 3 pts, despite the last nerve shredding 5 minutes. Very thankful for Lee Hamilton’s goal mouth blocking. Things are looking up over the last couple of games since Micheal McIndoe came in and hopeful we can actually make a decent attempt at staying in League One. P.S. Aiden Smith is still a diving pr*ck with a crap haircut.
  11. Bottom of the table clash. A win for City will close the gap, a loss will leave us at least 7 or 8 points adrift depending on the Cove score. We’re still on a high after collecting a point away to Hamilton last week and still hopefully on that new manager bounce. 2-1 City win
  12. With the new manager coming in, I've no idea what to expect this weekend. To get a result against one of the leaders of the league considering where we are right now is a big ask. It'll be interesting to see who starts and how we're set up if anything.

  14. I think the stories of our impending demise have been greatly exaggerated, we've just had a really poor start to the season. If we do go down (and to be honest the new manager has an uphill struggle to avoid it), I expect that we'll still be competitive in League 2 and around for some time yet (fingers crossed). On Meadowbank however, that just doesn't seem like a long term arrangement to me anymore.
  15. Scratch that, the east side was shut. Looks like it’s through the turnstiles today.
  16. Reminder: Home fans now enter from the east side of the ground. Season ticket section is now next to hospitality. It starts just before the half way line and runs back along the 2nd and 3rd rows towards the back entrance of the sports centre. All of those seats have a large ‘Season Ticket Holder’ sticker on the back rest, although you might need to pull the seat down a bit to see it.
  17. I haven't got much expectation for this one. Mark's got previous managerial experience and been with the club for quite some time and knows the players really well, so hopefully should be a competitive game. Obviously not looking forward to seeing Tiwi Daramola again after all the problems he caused us during the league cup game.
  18. Disappointing but not surprising. I did think that things were starting to turn around over the last couple of games but 2 points from our first 8 games was just not good enough. He’ll still be remembered as a legend at City, thanks to guiding us through the play-offs into League One and for proving the critics wrong by being in the Championship play-off spots for most of last season. That night in Annan is still the best feeling I’ve ever had at a football match.
  19. After finally getting our triumphant first point last week, can we carry that momentum into this weekend and pick up another one? Or even better can we pick up our first win? Loads of positives from our performance last week and hoping for the same this week.
  20. I’ve seen some complaints on here and social media recently regarding season ticket seating. Just to confirm if you haven’t seen any of the communications sent out by the club. All home fans now enter from the east side of the stadium (car park side). There’s now a season ticket holder section beside hospitality which starts just before the half way line and runs back along the 2nd and 3rd rows towards the sports centre rear entrance. There’s also sizeable labels stuck to the back rest of the seats to clearly mark them out but you do have to pull the seat down a bit to read it. I used it for the first time yesterday and it works quite well and had the best view of a game I’ve had all season.
  21. Gutted not to take all 3 points yesterday. Fair play to the team to try and go for a 3rd goal to kill off the game rather than attempt some time wasting to grind out the result. Outstanding performance from Shanley, ran the defence ragged and very unlucky with his first goal not being given and whacking the post in injury time. Probably the best team performance I’ve seen this season and a clear sign of intent not to lie down over this campaign. Hopefully we can take some confidence from this and pick up more points over the next couple of weeks to tighten things up at the bottom of the table. Only worrying thing yesterday was Murray going off injured as he’s been our most consistent player over the season so far.
  22. The vultures are starting to circle for Maybury after the Montrose result on Saturday but I don't think this game will be his make or break moment. We've still got Alloa and Kelty after this and then I think he might be on a shoogly peg if we fail to pick up any points after the first round of games. We've been well beaten by Hamilton, Falkirk and Montrose but there's been a lot of good performances from the new signings including Robbie Leitch but they still seem to be working on gelling together as a team and we've just lacked that little bit of luck (or a defence) in the tighter games against QOTS, Stirling and Annan that we had last season which has left us in the position we're in. I think we just need to get that elusive win to build a bit of confidence and crack on with the rest of the season.
  23. We can't buy a win at the minute but our luck must change eventually? To be honest, I'd even be happy with a draw just to get us off the mark.
  24. Yeah, Annan was very disappointing, as we had opportunities to kill the game but didn’t take them and got punished for it. Definitely by far the worst result of the season. I think there’s points to be taken in the next few matches and we do have the team for it but they need to close out the games.
  25. I have to admit, I was disappointed when I saw the line up on Saturday as like you I was looking for a comfortable win to build a bit of confidence after recent results. I get the thought process as we’re picking up injuries and don’t really want to add to it as trying to stay in League 1 is our top objective, but the record books will still show a pumping by East Kilbride. I’m not hitting the panic button just yet as we’ve played 3 full time teams in our first 5 but we need to start picking up points in the next 4 as 0 points after playing each team once will be unacceptable.
