  1. 'CanadianClown', Oh no, that stings... anyways at least we know you're not bothered at all. I'm from Downfield, and bide in the Ferry, can you make up witty bon mots for those? I thought we were supposed to be moving on? Honestly we really should as your patter is utterly horrific. Even a boozed up Granny Danger could put you to the sword in a keyboard duel.
  2. Yes brexit sure seems like a masterstroke. We surrender every day to a gang of criminals in England. I don`t even know where to start... so I won`t bother. To the game I`ll go with a slim Dee victory of 1-0.
  3. Jesus wept... that you`ve distilled Scottish independence down to a referendum on whether someone likes our current FM or not is stupid in the extreme. Even if Sturgeon were a moron she`d still be better than being ruled by a never ending cabal of right wing crooks that swaddle themselves in a St George`s cross and a union jack. Thanks for letting us know who you would have stood with at Bannockburn.
  4. f**k the union jack. f**k any servile Scot that reveres it. f**k Rangers and f**k the Arabs too.
  5. This basically happens every pre game presser. McPake gets asked question about squad availability - he says everything is good aside from the known long termers (this week Adam and Mullen) then we show up from the game and somebody surprising will be missing. It's king of annoying from a fan's perspective, but it would seem he likes to keep the opponents off balance and keep them guessing a little bit. I'd be feeling a lot better if Adam and McMullen and Cummings were playing today along with our new addition LG, but hopefully we can get the three points anyways. Livi fans, do you have full strength lineup or not? If not then who is missing?
  6. Leigh Griffiths. I wish I was kidding. I've seen this floating around a few places. LG was there... along with the entire Dundee team as we were playing Hearts in a bounce game. It absolutely was just a coincidence. Having said that if Griffiths starts banging the goals in for Dundee then Clarke may not be able to ignore him due to his lack of options. Of course by then it won't matter as we'll probably be eliminated from contention by then.
  7. I'm sure those other fans were thrilled to bits to be on the receiving end of your hot takes.
  8. He's just happy to be alive... of course the same can't be said for all of his seatmates that had to listen to his chronic, contrarian takes for hours on end.
  9. Random has been hitting the copium pipe quite deeply since his (and his club's) deadline day meltdown. Now they're spinning it that their deadline day firesale was actually very astute business when the day before they wanted Brown hunted. And speaking of Steve Brown it's come out now that the chairman of St Johnstone is a massive glory hunting Rangers fan. Sad times in Perth, imo...
  10. That isnae right mate as far as Dundee goes anyway. I'm not going to dig them all out, but we've had 3 games of around 11k just the from 2017 to 2019 alone. I didn't go back any further because I don't have time, but you get the point - although not the norm obviously it certainly isn't that rare.
  11. Sheridan has/had a groin strain. Jakubiak was hit with the 'vid. I thought Marshall was out due to his straight red card? Although I suppose he could've had covid as well.
  12. It's really annoying and predictable how a section of our fans respond to this type of result. And I'm not talking about the fans that are calling for the manager's head (that is dumb too, but wholly expected as kneejerk reactionaries exists in every fanbase). The ones that annoy me are the 'what can you expect, it's Celtic', 'our results against the Old Firm won't decide our season', 'many teams will get crushed in Glasgow' brigade. What I'd like to expect is at least the minimum amount of professionalism from our squad. I'd like the same from our captain (he looked reckless, and uninterested today), and manager (is he unaware that you are allowed to play different players in different formations for different occasions)? Marshall's red card, amateurish garbage (maybe he couldn't run properly because he had his autograph book and pen stuffed down his sock looking for Joe Hart). Charlie Adam reckless fouls in dangerous areas and frankly he didn't look up for the fight today, perhaps he was carrying a sack full of our money that he wanted to leave for the Old Firm to keep them happy. Not one player today made the effort to cut out a pass today - simply be sticking a big toe out they could've prevented their first two goals, and the marking was so schoolboyish that it seemed like they didn't give a single sh*t about any of it! Our manager sets us up to play the same way no matter whether it's St Mirren at home, Raith home, QotS home or Celtic away. What's he daein? It's fair to say he didn't hit them with a Braveheart speech today as we came out of the traps with all the energy and emotion of a sloth on thorazine. There is a good chance that no team will go to away to Celtic this season and be beaten worse that we were today. And we haven't played a Septic team in such disarray for years. They've obviously got good players, but they're still learning each others names. So no, I don't accept that it's Celtic away so what can you do attitude. It's not losing there that is deflating, it is the manner in which it occurs. I actually like McPake, but jeezy peeps this guy loves to embarrass us at least once or twice a season.
  13. Yes when you factor in the handicap I'm going to go ahead and declare this game a hard fought draw.
  14. Frankly speaking, with the gulf in resources between the twa clubs if Septic don't win by 6 clear goals I'm going to consider this a monumental embarrassment for the plastic paddy's and a win for us morally speaking. Having said that I just can't see past a 1 goal victory for the Dee, imo... or just refer to the above statement.
  15. I wonder if he attaches his Trump flag to his vehicle or simply wraps himself up in it when he gets tucked in?
  16. Aye, despite the expected spin from Rangers fans and the attempted mitigation for Charlie's comments by a few of our own I find Adam's latest wading in on the cinch thing really tiresome. I know it's all going on in the other thread, but it's clear what Charlie meant and there is no spin doctoring out of it, imo. Maybe because he was in England for so long he's forgotten what Dees think of the Old Firm, but I mean can't he read the room. I love watching the guy play, but can't he contain his *** tendencies at least while he is wearing our jersey, being paid through season ticket holder money and a couple of Dee sponsors?? It's cringeworthy. p.s. I hope that Rangers get in line or are dealt with harshly. p.s.s. They probably will continue to be massive pains in the arse and nothing will be done about it.
  17. I'm a member here and TDB as well although I'm not super frequent poster, more of a lurker. That covid thread was an embarrassment and those two plus another couple were posting total insanity, disinformation, misinformation, and conspiracy garbage lifted straight out of everyone's crazy uncle's facebook page, but I resisted the urge to get involved. I simply upvoted the sane posters that tried to keep the thread tethered to some sort of reality. Frankly the TDB owner showed an incredible amount of patience when dealing with these nutters, much more than I would have allowed had it been my forum. Anyways I hope he doesn't allow these guys to chase him and his forum away.
  18. I think the just crowned manager of the year is about to announce a double swoop fan signing of Stumigoo and StumigooDa. It can be difficult to cross the Dundee footballing divide, but I think the Stumigoo family know that the time is right to leave the darkside. Announce the signings, and welcome aboard!
  19. All the best to Osman, he turned out to be a pretty good contributor, but it's probably the right time here to move on. I'm happy about Cammy hopefully returning. He was placed in some difficult scenarios this season and frankly he was really great in the last 8 or 9 games. His versatility will come in handy. Legzdins hopefully signs the new contract, and then we're going to still be looking for another keeper as I don't see a future at Dens for Ferrie or JackHam. As far as Fontaine goes I think having him around for another year is fine, but even if he continued his good end of season form into the premiership we'll still need to bring in more centre backs as his hamstrings seem to be stretched tighter than Tony Ashgar's belts. I also think Fisher may get sent out on a season long loan. I don't think McDaid is going to make it to the end of August as a member of the Dee without being a) sent somewhere on a season long loan, b) sold for a packet of crisps to Partick, perhaps or c) or 'mutually' agreeable (small payout) parting of the ways. I've got nothing against the guy, but I think he'd be well and truly found out in the first tier. I reserve the right to forget I ever said any of this if he has the training camp and July and August of his life and earns his right to stay.
  20. They usually don't mention that until the day before the game, but it'll be shown for international subscribers on DeeTV just as the 2nd leg of the Raith tie was. That will not help you for the 2nd leg however. You may be able to sign up for an international subscriber package with Killie in order to watch the second leg. Despite my username I spend most of my time in Scotland these days, but due to the time I've spent in Canada over the years I'm pretty well versed in navigating other teams video streaming services in desperate attempts to follow the Dee when they are away from home. Like I think the DeeTV package is 12 pound a month or something which is no worse than a single ppv price that we've had during the pandemic. So I think you'll be fine for the 1st leg if you're a DeeTV subscriber and for the second leg if all else fails just sign up KillieTV on a 1 month subscription to catch the 2nd leg.
  21. Are you a DeeTV member? Surely it'll be broadcast on there using the Sky feed just like the Raith game at Dens was shown to overseas subscribers using the BBC feed.
  22. It's a great snap. He was my Gramps' favourite player, and he claimed that he was the best he ever saw play football in person.
  23. I support Jordon Forster in this matter. We have to remember that the only reason this came up at all was because the Evening Telegraph published a piece of journalism that was as cowardly as it was lazy in which they simply speculated that Forster may be on his way to Partick Thistle in a loan deal. That was immediately followed by a selection of quotes wholly lifted of twitter/facebook/football forums basically with the usual type of stuff like 'I'll drive him there', 'guy's a donkey',etc. This all came hot on the heels of Kane Hemmings publicly discussing his metal health struggles during his career and specifically at Dundee. At no time did Forster say his situation is the same as racial abuse, but he simply pointed out that there are and can be more that one issue going on in football that could cause upset to the public figures with in the game. He also never said that managers and players are above criticism, let's face it the problem here is that the Telegraph was obviously looking to fill some space and just decided drop a ton of barrage of shite into this players lap without a minutes thought in the form of online fans opinions. Furthermore Forster is right that the club should've supported him more forcefully. McPake said that he fully supported Forster only after getting a question put to him in the run up to one of last weeks games. IMO, Dundee FC should've formalised a statement of disagreement of the article's content and support for the players right to feel aggrieved.
