There's a bit about his time there. The relationship with Willie Cunningham and some of the players Tam Young, Alex Totten. Good read and the bit about the managers job and Andy Gray just gets you thinking -

It is the big what if indeed. Falkirk were further ahead than Jim Mclean's Dundee United. Alex Ferguson was assistant manager to Willy Cunningham and there was a lot of young talent with potential on the books. Stewart Kennedy, John Kennedy, Alex Beckett* John Young* Ian Harley, Tom Mcleod, Doug Somner, Stewart Wheatley, Colin Fowler to name a few that come to mind* these 2 went on to be stalwards in Fergies St Mirren team. Ferguson had even lined up Andy Gray to sign for the club. As you said - What if -

Should not exclude ex players managing Falkirk but its a big decision as it tarnishes the legacy they had when they played. Miller and Prentice together with May being the tragic examples. However we have had more than a few that had gave us some great games and teams. Totten, Hughes, McColl, Houstie come to mind. -

Clubs got that option and it works for both. Morrison shows he can deliver the goods in a higher division. His value goes up and player and club win. -

Eddie May was put on the spot. If he didn't take the manager's job offered, it would have been a case of 'What if' for the rest of his career. What a footballer though! One of the long line of Falkirk Players remembered for their managerial failure at Falkirk rather that the great players they were in a Falkirk jersey eg John Prentice and George Miller. -

Morrison's and the clubs thinking could well be. He does the same again in the higher division and he and the club cash in on a transfer fee with a year left on his contract with a higher transfer fee so both party's win Nod and a wink from Falkirk to Morrison we will be reasonable. -

When it comes to Legends, Cult hero's designations in Falkirk's history nobody's right, nobody's wrong. If you select somebody in whatever category from whatever era for whatever reason if you think they are, they are. The people that saw the 1912-13 cup winning team or a young John White will have had the same discussions and every era and decade since. 3 players who's mere presence in the team had the opposition going on the pitch looking already beaten by their presence McAllister, Stainrod, Latapy I think would be on everybody's list and rightly so, a rare breed that when they got the ball there was a collective intake of breath in anticipation of what they would do. -

Or when Aberdeen visited Cheats! (repeat) They just topped Hearts as the most despised mob that turned up at Brockville. Made all the worse by their fans cheering on their antics. -

Arfield himself has commented on ending his career where it all started and has been a theme on the forum over the last few months. Hope this clarifies -

Read quality over quantity. You never know who may be available in the closed season that may affect McGynn's plans but he will have a general idea already on what positions and who he wants to fill them. If money is as tight as he says then Arfield's big goodbye to the Bairns could be passed up. That would be a shame but needs must. Case of wait and see. -

Maybe the potential for a Vaulks type midfield roll. Whatever roll he matures into he will have a decent career -

Would be a good series to do is once per season the iconic kit from a decade. of the clubs history. Closed season, the fan base asked to chose a top from the selected decade. -

The Hybrid playing surfaces are the only option to grass pitches then. Anybody know the price difference between Artificial - Hybrid and the working life. If they ban artificial pitches, then there has to be a phase in period X years so clubs that just invested in new pitches are not disadvantaged. If not then we know the blazers have other motives -

It was as bad as bad can be. Says a lot for the hard core that went home and way, fully aware of what they were going to see. -

You don't know the 1/2 of it. Crowds of 500, part time, terrible football, no way forward out the situation it was dire. If it was not for Moffat and Allan there would be no club. -

Very true! but these memories are the clubs history and as time ticks by these first-hand experiences will be gone for good. The 1912-13 cup winning side is now a footnote of history as will Brockville in time. So think there is room for memories because in time what happens this season will become the same. -

It goes with the scarf. The countless times bairns fans walked up Hope Street from Brockville in wide-eyed blank faced shock at how on earth did we Lose/Win that is now in the DNA of being a Falkirk supporter. We snarl and disagree at each other but in the end we all want the same thing, what's best for the club. Would not have it any other way. -

Been watching Falkirk since the 60's falling flat on their faces snatching defeat in the face of victory. I have a healthy restraint in celebrating, waiting till when we have something to celebrate. Sure we have done well on and off the park and in a great position and I have a feel good factor like the rest of us. For the sake of waiting for 2-4 results to give certainty, it's not ridiculous nor miserable, it's being realistic to the situation we are in. -

The premature triumphalism and complacency about this seasons campaign does not bode well for the expectations if we get promoted. We have, a decent spine of a side to build on - nothing more. -

Common practice to quote a few snippets from newspapers, TV, forums. Been done for years and will aleways be done. Can you imagine it 'This mod are thinking of subbing their goalkeeper at 1/2 time their so up themselves. So go out an and put them straight. It's basic man management
