  1. Fan behaviour should be self policing, get them telt their arseholes and not welcome, ridiculed and derided by those around you. Either change your ways or dont turn up.
  2. Cup result. Negative. Out the cup and the drop in revenue it could have brought in Positive Reality check that we are maybe not as good as we think we are, therefore a bounce for the next game to prove a point. Concentrate of the league with no distractions of other competitions
  3. Since in is getting close to 10,000 post on the forum. Thanks Kris for starting it up.
  4. Nothing wrong with that. Baptie and McAllister came from the juniors.
  5. Falkirk were good for Morrison and Morrison was good for Falkirk. It will not have gone unnoticed to players today that are in Morrisons situation, 4 years ago how the club behaved and improved the player to move on to bigger things. It was that reputation that made Vaulks chose Falkirk. Well done to all involved and that includer Miller and McCracken who I think signed him
  6. At least we are spared the bullshitters with their inside information from talking to those in the know in supermarkets, or imagining they do more like. Club staying watertight regarding these stories / attention seekers bullshit should be welcomed as it indicates a higher calibre of individual running the club
  7. It's the Daily Record hardly a font of reliable and credible articles. It's down to Morrison in the end, if he want's to go - go with the clubs best wishes and goodwill. Pointless having a player on the books against their will and even unintentionally holding back to avoid injury to avoid endangering his payday as a free agent.
  8. The Academy project once producing players ready for the first team will have a target that at the start of every season there are say 2 - 4 players pushing for a first team place progress and hopefully move on to bigger things and a club casher in the transfer and add on's. Maybe the people running the academy can advise.
  9. One of my great moments was Kevin McAllister's debut against Leeds at Brockville when he ripped Scotland's International left back a new arsehole and twisted him so much he nearly screwed himself into the ground. Had watched him a few times at Camelon Juniors, and he stood out how he handled himself against these old pro's and a rough playing surface and still played sublime football. Seeing him run onto the pitch said to everybody around me is the stand. 'You're about to witness something special and the arrival of a Falkirk icon' One of these players that got you on your feet in anticipation every time he got the ball.
  10. What you on about? Care to explain to the forum how you came to the conclusion it's the council's fault.
  11. So Bournemouth are thinking of a stakeholding in Hibs. Brighton are thinking along the same lines regarding a Scottish feeder club Burnley looking to tie up an arrangement with Dundee This stinks! any strategic decision, signings, management would be made not in the Scottish clubs long term interest. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/jan/27/scottish-strugglers-turning-to-english-clubs-for-investment-looks-desperate
  12. Falkirk Win Hamilton Draw 2 points further ahead in the league Goal difference improved Shanley scores Tait scores Unbeaten run no longer a weight round our neck Not a bad day at the office.
  13. Pots with 'Falkirk' on the casting came from Falkirk Iron Works pre Allied Ironfounders. Carron Pots had the logo crossed cannons / pheonix Carron Co Falkirk
  14. Should you not be in the care of the community since you can't comprehend % shareholding and how that is diluted if there is a further share issue unless of course you buy the shares.
  15. Carron Co main office was crumbling in the early 70's when I worked there. Both wings of the building were off limits for safety reasons. The roof was nail sick and had leaked for so long the floor joists were unsafe. Tragedy as the basement was crammed with drawings, patterns, photo albums as well as Hanshard's and Lambie's wine cellar
  16. Yes you are dense whether it's deliberate or stupidity is open to debate. But will give you the benefit of the doubt and will explain it again for you. If there are 100 shares and you have 25 of them you have a 25% shareholding. Increase the shares to 200 and you still only have 25 of them you have a 12.5% shareholding. If you can't get your mind round that, then there's no hope for you.
  17. Not being negative, being realistic. Will explain it for you since you are having trouble understanding the issue. There are X amount of shares issued. Falkirk Fans Consortium* currently hold 25% of them. Should there be a further share issue and * don't buy them then that 25% figure will drop. Hope this is of help. Whatever partnership agreement is in place or how its worded won't make difference.
  18. Just keep in mind that any further share issue not bought by the Fans Consortium dilutes the 25%. This is not a permanent figure.
  19. It is that tinkering option that will be required in the remaining league games. Opposition now know how we play and having an option to change the formation is definitely a plus
  20. I do hope the players put on loan have a stipulation in their loan agreement that they do not play against Falkirk
  21. Griffiths is just another in the long line of naturally gifted Scottish players that for various reasons never fulfilled the potential their talent deserved. What they had was un-coachable, you either had it or you didn't. In my time watching football George Connolly is ther biggest tragedy and could and should have been Scotland's Beckenbauer - what a player - what a talent.
  22. Think he will move on leaving a space for Arfield to make his last season at where it all started. Think that would be a more effective signing
  23. The Alloa game will show the mettle of Falkirk's management and players after the inevitable dip in a historical run of games. Alloa will be drumming into their players ' This lot are there for the taking' and you can be sure will be up for it and rightly so. Falkirk have to not only get the result but put in a display that sends the signal 'Business as usual. Season could well hinge on this result with the Cove and Hamilton games coming soon.
  24. If only the Bleachfield football pitch was still there it would have been problem solved regarding rough grass playing surfaces
  25. The club stated it had to pay for roof repairs due to last winters storms, there was no mention the Council contributed and there was no statement made by the council that they had. Not going into the stadium issue. My post related to a post regarding space in the main stand and who owns it. Commented that the club repaired the roof above it. Some folk don't have get themselves wound up defending the stadium situation the club is saddled with. Get a grip and put things in perspective.
