  1. I think Wingers. Henderson is out with a knock at the moment. I expect he’ll be straight in the team as soon as he’s fit. I think Sims starting yesterday probably backs that notion up. I’ll not be slating style of play until end of January. I’ll certainly not be slating the team after keeping our first home clean sheet in 3 months, never looking like conceding, and then suggesting it’s our worst performance for a long time.
  2. If Delboy wants to 0-0 shitfest his way to 10th place, then sign me up!
  3. https://twitter.com/thecountycorner/status/1728418338047439041?s=46&t=ifEZjmsywM4zZ6LsoCdAjw
  4. Isn’t James Brown (supposed to be) serving his 2nd of a two match suspension today?
  5. I’d go with something like: Laidlaw Randall-Baldwin-Leak-Harmon Allardice Loturi-Turner Dhanda Murray-Brophy Some sort of diamond in the middle of the park. Killie often bully us in the middle of the park so getting some extra bodies in there should help us get to grips. Assume they’ll play a 5 so the two grafters up front to hopefully press them into some mistakes, with Dhanda sitting just behind them pulling the strings.
  6. That is one of the most beautiful taps I have ever seen. 3.4%, though, is disappointing.
  7. He wouldn’t have got the Ross County job if it wasn’t going to be. It’s a policy!
  8. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/ross-county/6265795/attacking-flair-is-route-to-ross-county-success-says-manager-derek-adams/ Be interesting to see how many Derek’s Sexy Staggies put past this astro mob at the weekend. My prediction is a fair few.
  9. I remember the qualifying match between the two being utterly farcical a few years ago and sort of assumed that UEFA/FIFA would have made some effort to keep them apart, but I suppose that’s a lot easier in qualifying when you’ve got 80 odd teams than it is at a 24 team tournament.
  10. Apologies if this has already been asked, and I know it was finalised last night, but are Serbia and Albania able to draw each other at the tournament?
  11. It’s Adams for me. Yes, McIntyre gave the club its greatest honour and one of the best days of my life. However, to go 35 matches unbeaten and skoosh a league we were definitely not expected to win is unrivalled. To then go into the next season as stonewall favourites to be second bottom and be within touching distance of a European spot is immense.
  12. Nail on the head. He’s probably our greatest manager since I’ve been watching the club (25-30 years), he’s had 8 years of development in 2 competitive leagues down in England, and he now has a backbone of a recruitment team behind him which was definitely his weakness in his last spell. Onwards and upwards.
  13. As ever, I’ve had a pop at predicting the results using the ScotScores rankings as well. Of course, it isn’t entirely accurate but it offers a fair reflection of the quality comparison between teams in seperate leagues. Points to note: - Teams at home are given a +50 advantage - A gap of 100 is required to be outright favourite for the tie Clyde - 2713 Jeanfield - 2741 DRAW (-22) Raith - 3096 Dunfermline - 2998 DRAW (+98) Albion - 2780 Bonnyrigg - 2710 DRAW (+70) Annan - 2835 Dumbarton - 2805 DRAW (+30) Brora - 2796 Pollok - 2788 DRAW (+8) Broxburn - 2730 Buckie - 2751 DRAW (-21) Cumnock - 2717 Broomhill - 2660 DRAW (+57) Dunbar - 2670 Alloa - 2817 ALLOA (-147) Falkirk - 3062 Formartine - 2650 FALKIRK (+412) Hamilton - 3032 Kelty - 2858 HAMILTON (+174) Inverness - 3040 Cowdenbeath - 2668 INVERNESS (+372) Montrose - 2891 Edinburgh - 2762 MONTROSE (+129) Morton - 3001 Bo’ness - 2703 MORTON (+298) Partick - 3080 Queen’s Park - 2918 PARTICK (+162) Peterhead - 2859 Ayr - 2948 DRAW (+89) Queen of the South - 2898 Dundee United - 3104 DUNDEE UNITED (-206) Spartans - 2840 Arbroath - 2919 DRAW (-79) Stirling - 2859 Cove - 2879 DRAW (-20) Stranraer - 2739 Airdrie - 2974 AIRDRIE (-235) Tranent - 2869 Forfar - 2770 DRAW (+99) Therefore according to the rankings, there isn’t much value to be had over the weekend. Looking at it objectively, Pollok Cumnock and Tranent are probably the three lower league teams with a great chance of beating higher tiered opposition, with Jeanfield in with a great shout too. The “model” had a pretty poor success rate in the last round, only correctly predicting 55% of matches. Hopefully does a bit better this round.
  14. I took a Cumnock and Pollok double when prices were released on Saturday. Pays about 22/1. Shortened right up since.
  15. Looking at Morecambe’s previous games, he seems to fancy a 4231. Think that would be good for us in allowing Dhanda and Turner to get into the same team.
  16. I really wish we went with John “Yogi is a good football man” Hughes. That would’ve steadied the ship!
  17. Given that their is now a recruitment team in place at the club, I don’t think Adams will be dealing with the recruitment side of things anywhere near as much as he was in his previous tenures.
  18. I’m getting a good chuckle at the folk suggesting that clubs like Wrexham, Bradford, and Notts County are more “prestigious” than Premiership roles. Bradford City’s new manager? Graeme Alexander.
  19. I often sit on away day buses and hope that the bus doesn’t in fact stop in Edinburgh but instead carries on to places like *checks notes* Barrow and Sutton.
  20. Who’s the next piece of shit our Derek will be flinging around like a wet paper bag? My moneys on Steven Naismith - a soft touch.
  21. Sooner Shanklands on the better. Brown is like playing a man down. Hopeless.
  22. I’d like to see an appointment that gives some sense of entertainment value. Alongside his baggage, Mackay was a boring old fart. I want someone to come in and f**k shit up. Derek Adams fits that bill.
