I don’t have a problem with the routines themselves but rather the execution of them. Christie’s taking a touch every time before he swings the ball in which gives the Georgians plenty time to get folk out the box and press the cross.

Can we bin off those routines. Or at least if you’re going to do it, keep the distances smaller so you don’t allow them to get 3 men out so quickly.

The baffling thing for me is this is nowhere near as bad as it’s been under him. There’s been other scenarios under his tenure where we’ve looked far worse and he’s been kept in the job. Not complaining though!

I like Jay Henderson. He is completely different to anybody we have in our squad - he’s absolutely rapid and his final ball isn’t bad either. I suspect as the season progresses, we will slowly transition into a more aggressive and attacking shape which will suit Henderson down to the ground.

Actually feel like this is maybe the most solid at the back we’ve looked in years, even though we have been forced into this shape by Brown’s tackle. He’s unfortunate but it’s a stonewall red. Big Allardice is an absolute pillar in the centre. We’ve been missing him whilst he’s been out.

What is clear daylight though? I agree the offside rule is a pisstake but changing it to something like clear daylight surely makes it even more undefinable.

We no longer have Alex Iacovitti to score a header from a crossing position against this mob, so I foresee us being beaten to nil.

Insane what happens when you get your best attacking players on the pitch together. Same amount of goals in our last 2 games than the other 8 before them. Just need to find a way to get Turner and Dhanda in the same team.

Couldn’t agree more R.E. Malky Mackay. So many exciting, attacking players in our squad yet we choose to start matches with 6 defenders on the pitch each week.

I suspect this will be another game where we try to sit in and frustrate with the intention of shitehousing our way to a point. 0-0.
