I remember the qualifying match between the two being utterly farcical a few years ago and sort of assumed that UEFA/FIFA would have made some effort to keep them apart, but I suppose that’s a lot easier in qualifying when you’ve got 80 odd teams than it is at a 24 team tournament.

It’s Adams for me. Yes, McIntyre gave the club its greatest honour and one of the best days of my life. However, to go 35 matches unbeaten and skoosh a league we were definitely not expected to win is unrivalled. Looking at it objectively, Pollok Cumnock and Tranent are probably the three lower league teams with a great chance of beating higher tiered opposition, with Jeanfield in with a great shout too. The “model” had a pretty poor success rate in the last round, only correctly predicting 55% of matches. Hopefully does a bit better this round.

I took a Cumnock and Pollok double when prices were released on Saturday. Pays about 22/1. Shortened right up since.

Looking at Morecambe’s previous games, he seems to fancy a 4231. Think that would be good for us in allowing Dhanda and Turner to get into the same team.

Given that their is now a recruitment team in place at the club, I don’t think Adams will be dealing with the recruitment side of things anywhere near as much as he was in his previous tenures.

No half! I enjoyed walking behind the goal to the pie bar at half time to hear Gethins tearing into his team. Fair play - it clearly worked and had that game gone on another 5 minutes I reckon Clach would’ve nicked it.

Only half time, but Clach have been an absolute embarrassment here against Strathy. Gethins has some job on his hands to try and steer them away from 18th because on this basis Strathy look 10x the team.

Biggest plus from that tonight was the fact we’ve come away from it with no injuries while Georgia seem to have come away with about 14. Absolutely embarrassing mob. Not as embarrassing as Michael Stewart though. Reminiscent of stars like “Tom the Commentator” and “John Hartson” throughout.
