  1. They are without a doubt a lot better. Should be an interesting AGM.
  2. Hopefully means they are coming to the table with everything sorted rather than the utterly half arsed approach we saw last time. let's hope so.....but i won't be surprised if this drags on for another few months.
  3. They don't half drag all this out, surely it would have been possible to get this all sorted before the season starts, let's just hope their dithering dosent scare away even more money from the club.
  4. Akeel Francis is one of them, was told he has been offered a deal.
  5. so the defense is it took him 3 months to figure out what lot of people did in a few days after MC was originally announced? i hardly think that is a glowing reference, I am not putting this new guy in the same category as MC by the way, he has a track record in football which is encouraging and as i said earlier i think the "bended ownership" model GD is talking about could be one that works for all parties.
  6. Considering GD lead the due diligence on MC, yes i think it's possible.
  7. If this goes thru, the ownership structure is going to be completely different, with Gow, The Yanks and more fan shareholding and with the MSG basically being disbanded I think it's a compromise that could work for everybody, it gives me more confidence in the process when the people who are investing have been involved in football for a while rather than just some pervert taxi driver.
  8. On the face of it this is a positive move, if its moving LM and/or CL on it has to be, however as BPM alluded to i think we are only getting half the story ATM and there is still loads to come out.
  9. There has to be some sort of middle ground, the club should have a long term strategy for the playing squad and IMO that shouldn't have to change each time you change a manager, i don't want a DOF type role to have sole control over transfers but they should be part of the conversation when identifying players.
  10. Did they put their hands in their pockets? pretty sure all the money getting spent comes from us the fans.
  11. no, MR, SA, CL and maybe another all have more than him, sure he has 5/6%
  12. What a fantastic signing, had my doubts we would be able to get him, delighted to be proved wrong.
  13. Don't think there was ever an Indian bid, it was always Gow himself, the fact he played over there for a while is most likely how the Indian rumour started.
  14. Rumour is he is buying or has bought LMs shares, would be fantastic to get Lex away but no idea if it's true.
  15. He will sell, or has sold if rumours are true, no way he will dilute with the share issue and let money stay with the club, he wants cash.
  16. Absolute erse skepking handed oot by NS there to Ruth @ FMQs, nae wonder she's calling it a day.
  17. thing is, unless their shares are diluted to below 50% which suspect they won't be, it's a just another exercise in getting more money from the fans without giving up any power/control. We will still be left in the position when these 6 guys can force through any decisions why want.
  18. yes was kinda thinking that was their thinking but i dont get why? they should have announced it when it was done, it just looks bad now, but it's no surprise to me they don't see that.
  19. The only thing that i have seen from GD so far is how much he loves the sound of this own voice and his failure to appoint a DoF which was also promised multiple times. This isn't about the BoD or what current stuge is currently in the chair it's about a group of major shareholders who are continually asking for cash injections from the fans but are unwilling to give up even the slightest bit on control, and if you think leaks from within the club are the major problem here you haven't been paying attention for the last 3/4 years.
  20. I think bringing Batement back is probably a good move, he seemed to be well liked around the place and the appointment of Colin Mcfarlane is at least something a little different and hopefully will act as a voice for the fans of some sort, but at the end of the day the point you make is 100% correct, 4 new board members parachuted into position without even an announcement being made, effectify working under 2 major shareholders who claim they want to take a back seat but are without a doubt still making major decisions, we have share issue coming up which will end up being a severely watered down version of BtB and most likely leave MSG with less holdings but still enough to reign supreme. What a massive opportunity was missed when they picked MC over BtB, they should be getting hounded out for that decision alone IMO.
  21. The current board desperately need somebody with football experience IMO, we have KK, LM and 2 guys who have only recently been brought into the boardroom with no previous football experience. someone like JJ would have been an excellent appointment if you ask me, shame it never happened.
  22. A bit more youth and energy in the team wouldn't go amiss, that was severely lacking last season, players trying to progress their career rather than one's looking for their final decent contract.
