Clark would be fantastic what he's done at killy with no budget is amazing and that's coming from an Ayr fan, we need a coach and someone who has a wee bit of brains when coming to tactics.

Hope he's more ambition that that, hope he goes to a half decent championship team down south and makes a name for himself, can't see slippy G playing Shankland upfront and he'd be wasted sitting on the bench or playing for the reserves at Ibrox -

I'd play McGuffie every game in the Betfred 4 games will be good test for him, let's just pray McCall can pull out a rabbit out if the hat and find another Shankland, I wouldn't mind Rudden who was with Falkirk last year not much chance of him getting anywhere near the rangers team so I'd assume he'd be available. -

What's the thought's on the winger situation next season obviously we have Forrest and McGuffie signed up McDaid has been ok this season but not enough consistency for me and I wouldn't be broken hearted if he moved on and Cadden is out of contract with livi has he done enough to get a contract offer?? any time I saw he he looked decent, would love to see McGuffie kick on and become the player we all know that's in there. -

Ian McCall 8 out 10 Sometimes frustrating with shoe horning Crawford in the team and playing him on the wing when he should be in the middle or not in the team and us really not having a plan B but it's hard to really criticise after the season we have had, big statement tonight about pushing on and not just setting for staying up each season let's hope the director's back him.- 79 replies

Ok done is maybe the wrong word and I love Moff I just think his lack of pace some times hurts us. -

Another unpopular opinion is Moffat is done at this level as a starter I would defo have him at the club and may good for making an impact sub or as a coach but surely McCowan has done enough in the last 3 weeks to get a run in the team his energy and direct running changed the game when he on the other night, would love for Moff to prove me wrong and get the 100 goals for the club but can't see it now -

I'm I the only one who is skeptical about Doolan potentially signing he's what 33 now hasn't exactly set the heather on fire this season and is being released by a club we beat 4 out of 5 times this season maybe as a back up or a plan B from the bench but not as direct replacement for Shankland we should be looking at younger guys in that 21 to 23 year our bracket with something to prove. -
If we had scored in the first 25 min I think we would have won, as much as I love Moff it's time to ride off into the sunset McCowan must start on Saturday and who knows if we can get an early goal anything is possible just look at Liverpool tonight stayed to clap the players off tonight as we may not see Rose, Shankland Smith and others at Somerset again now.

Why not half the problem with Scottish football is teams like Falkirk and Raith think they have a right to be in the higher leagues because they are "big clubs" that's a dig at owners and boards btw not fans, no one can say Alloa don't deserve to stay up this season and Arbroath have been outstanding in league one. -
If both Smith and Geggan are both out for tomorrow leaves us really short at right back I know Doc has been touted to play there but he's not a full back in any way, I wonder if McCall might change from 442 to 352 for this game and go Doohan Rose Muirhead Harvie Forrest or Cadden Murdoch Kerr Crawford Miller Moffat Shankland The only other time we have played that this season is the 2nd half against Cally we almost got a point after being 3 down at half time.

Season 2018-2019. How was it for you?
Superhursty7 replied to I'm Brian's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Expeded expectations 9.5 out of 10 Spending only one week in the entire season out if the top 4 was a remarkable achievement and honestly I think but for injury's to key men like Forrest, Shankland and Adams we would have came very close if not won the thing. Who knows where the playoffs may take us but no Ayr fan dreamed of being in this position in August and to be fair to McCall he said pre season he did not see why we couldn't go for playoffs. highlight for me was Morten away they way we ripped them apart in a 20 min spell showed what we could do low point in the league any way was the 2-0 defeat at Falkirk we looked like we had completely hibsed it at that point and looked like we might even miss the playoffs. Player of the year (outwith the obvious Shankland) would be Doohan who has been a superstar and will be Scotland No1 one day or Andy Murdoch I honestly can't understand why Morten let him go Individual performance of the season was Moffat at Alloa up all night at the birth of his baby and comes out with a brace. -

Just read Nicky Devlin's tweet about Walsall going down, looks like he's out of contract by all accounts he was one of their best players this season think he won players player of the year, we need a new right back, would love him back at the club but could we afford him? I'd expect he'd have been on decent money down south. -

Only change I would have made is Doohan in goals for a 19 year old he had never started a senior game before this season he has been excellent for us. -

Would be shocked to see Nisbet back at the club after his last loan spell, if I'm right did McCall not accuse him of kidding on he was injured to get subbed? -
