I take it Shanley was injured? Otherwise I was amazed by that substitution! Surely Offord was the correct choice to replace Shanley, as at least he's a striker! Our goal threat disappeared once we went down to 10 men (well, when McLean came on!) so was pleased we saw the game out. Boys played well though, finally earning a great win.

Looking over the highlights of Saturdays game you can see who's at fault for the goals. Two regular defenders then missed last night's game, so I can take a guess who's next to leave unless I'm wrong and 3+5 doesn't add up to eight.

Nothing wrong with the new boss! I like him a lot! He'll get us motoring up the table, once he gets his new players in January. Hopefully we'll still have time to grab the 4th play-off place.

Should be an easy 6-0 Falkirk win. In fact if you don't score at least minimum 5 goals against us, then that's an absolute embarrassment for Falkirk.

I think 9 quid is a bit steep, for what is, a totally pointless occasion. We don't need this distraction at the moment, should have this as a pre-season cup. Imo

I need to take back everything I said on this thread earlier! The players made a mug of us here! We are shite and I don't know where we go from here. Montrose are a good team right enough, and will have a good chance of going up winning the play-offs. However we've made it so easy for them, twice now this season. QOS were our bogie team last season, I think it will be Montrose this.

Where do we think we'll see Robbo play next then?

Yeah, Montrose are a decent side, I said earlier probably the third best team in the league. I just feel more optimistic about us, turning a corner so to speak, and think we can win this one! Gotta be winning your home games.

This Boy that's the new manager, I like him. He's positive and plays with two strikers, which I very much like! I'm very hopeful now (which I wasn't a few weeks ago!) that we'll start moving forwards and up the league.

Och Ally, things are finally looking up you know! We'll be nowhere near the bottom two by the end of the season. Look at it this way. We're only nine points off the good playoffs, that's only 3 wins. Now, Montrose are probably the 3rd best team in the league, so a win here at Meadowbank would be massive boost.

I honestly think we can still make the play-offs by the end of the season! Apart from Falkirk and Hamilton, everyone else is much the same. We're not that far off fourth place if we can put a winning run together.

I think any Hibs or Hertz fans looking for a game to watch, might think "oh!, Edinburgh City are at home" and then think, "aw, but it's at Meadowbank sports centre, I'm no going there!".

I never knew Shanley was suspended, but was disappointed his name was missing from the starting line up. The boys worked hard and have actually been better in most games than the league position suggests. I'm so glad we got this win over the line, and hopefully we can kick on now and win some more games.

So. After what always seems a Loooong International break , were finally back this weekend. Our first chance to see what team the new manager will pick. A very tough start away at top team Hamilton, so a free hit as everyone will assume we'll get beat. Main thing he needs to work on is the defence, as we're far too easy to score against, and have been for a while! Goes without saying, if we can find a way to start keeping some clean sheets then we'll give ourselves more chance to start winning a few games.
