  1. When does the usual pre-season signing gossip start ??
  2. And, it is just a flu strain. Nothing that doesnt happen every single winter. Jeez. People get flu every year, unfortunately people that are vulnerable die. The madness around this is bizzarre. Nearly 300 people in the whole of the UK have it 3 weeks in. How many people have died from cancer in that time, how many suicides. Get a fkn grip. Its flu, not the plague
  3. Yes. They have.. Have Talbot ??
  4. Andy, I am not a hater. I have only ever been very complimentary of Talbot, and see it an an unbelievable feat from our wee club to even be on the same park, far less competing. But c'mon Andy, some player have "flu" but lets be honest. Talbot could have fielded a team.
  5. Andy we couldnt we only have 17 players... .. but we wouldnt be granted the same leniency by the SJFA I am certain of that..
  6. 7 players out of the biggest and best squad in junior fitba... And cannot field a team. Geis peace man
  7. 7 players I read... So enough to field a team..
  8. Teams get flu, ankle injuries, knee injuries.. So why is this a special case ?? Milking the situation to the max
  9. 200 people in the entire UK... Yer 7 in the Talbot squad C'mon back at ye
  10. Yet less than 200 people in the entire UK have it. Ridiculous
  11. Hope you are of the same opinion when it's announced that the game will now be played at a neutral venue behind closed doors. Wonder if a smaller team would have been allowed the same latitude to call a game off
  12. Getting Married on a Saturday... During the season .... I blame the parents
  13. So this season, there first in the top flight since moving and having a tenant, they might start making a few bob and think about looking at getting some covered areas. 7months that's been happening n they should be millionaires Might depend on whether Benburb beat the drop as well.
  14. To be honest, and just my opinion. A big budget doesn't guarantee success. Look at my club Rossvale. There will be clubs way lower down paying more than we do. I would imagine our highest paid player gets less than Talbot's, Pollok's, Beith's etc. lowest paid player, yet we have made it to the top division and are giving a decent account of ourselves. 7 of our regular starting 11this season, were in the team that won the old first division 2 seasons ago. The reason for that is we got a group of good young players in a few seasons ago, appointed young hungry managers Gints, then Moff and now Gorms. All with fresh ideas that the team bought into. Despite plenty of interest from elsewhere with a lot more money offered, 7 starters are still there 3 seasons later. The key to Arthurlie getting back on top is getting the recruitment right and creating an environment that makes the players want to stay, and not chase money elsewhere.
  15. As you are mid-table, maybe you should try and go toe to toe with the Juniors first.....
  16. As I said at the Scot Cup tie, and again today. We are playing the benchmark in junior fitba. The rise of Rossvale in less than 10 years is remarkable. To be on the same pitch as Talbot was something that the Vale could only have dreamt of a few seasons ago. To be not just playing, but competing at this level is a fairytale. Talbot are the benchmark, we now fear nobody in this league.
  17. Player scores goal, gets disallowed. He says he is on. Must have been then
  18. Best and only chance..... apart from the goal you mean ??
  19. I also never mentioned him until Andy did. Now put down your Bucky and have an early night
  20. I don't remember mentioning my boy against you mate. I wasnt even at the first game. If you want to expand on your comment, please feel free.
  21. His goal was decent tho eh ? I am assuming you are the guy that was standing behind me screaming that you hoped he was seriously injured?? Stay classy man...
  22. He did mate. He went into a 50/50 both boys went hard and fair.. the ball spun away from them. Talbot player got there first. Liam charged toward him and lost his footing and couldnt stop. Colided. No intent. Yellow card. Same thing happened 1st half on our keeper. Ref showed a bit of leniency on that occasion
  23. Not at all. I am saying that fans call line decisions from the middle of the pitch. Red cards are subjective, for me the 2 second half red cards were yellow. Ref chose red. Talbot fans around me were surprised. That is all I am saying.
