  1. Always sad to hear news like that. Their recent results won't have helped things. St. Marks Park is on my list to visit - so will need to go soon. Match v Tweedmouth in January appeals
  2. Interesting to note, following on from my previous beef about charging £11 for young bairns to watch football at Tannadice (owing seeminlgy to the move to the new on-line ticket purchase system) that Morton have several tiers of pricing for Saturday's game - including charging under 12s a far more palatable £1. https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/tickets/buy-tickets-online
  3. In fairness, he has the home one in infant (5-6 yo) and it fits pretty well. Just looking to get the same in the away top for him. Had thought it would be straightforward - seemingly not
  4. Getting a hold of the club shop on the phone is proving as difficlut as ever...... Hoping to get my 5yo son the away kit for Christmas. On-line you can only get his size in the home top (his size still comes under the banner of infant). Anyone know if the away kit ever been made in infant size? And might it therefore be on the racks in the club shop (as opposed to on-line?)
  5. I had similar thoughts regarding a sign (likewise the toilets) - wouldn't take much. Glad to hear there was at least a smattering of Ormiston supporters. I genuinely thought there was zero.
  6. To be honest, I'm a Dundee United fan and was planning on going to Cappielow next Saturday. I wondered if the replay would take precedence over the league match. So do teams have the option of next Saturday or the following midweek do you know?
  7. Hi. Wasn't a dig at your club, merely commenting on the day that we experienced. Letting those in attendance in for free (which obviously I hadn't realised) is nice touch. So is the portakabin, that today seemed out of commission owing to an electrical fault, where the pie hut is usually sited?
  8. Will the game v Morton be on next week anyone know. Not sure when their replay is scheduled for - possibly Saturday?
  9. Took in Ormiston v Tweedmouth today. Enjoyable game in what was pretty horrible conditions. Tweedmouth miles the better and should have won. Should have won by a considerable margin really. But just couldn't get a second. Their centre half could have had a hat-trick but squandered three unmarked headers. Was a bit disappointed with the set up at Ormiston. Nobody taking entry fees when you walked in. The toilet was shut. No hot food for sale. And a rather grumpy individual (wearing an Ormiston jacket) behind the goal who gave my 5 year old son a ticking off, just after he'd ran 50 yards to retrieve the match ball. My only visit there, so maybe not always like that, but feels like they could be a bit more welcoming. Perhaps reflected by the poor attendance (I'm convinced there wasn't anyone there supporting Ormiston). Hope I'm wrong on that front however.
  10. Took in Edinburgh United v Glenrothes today. Glenrothes worthy winners, although Edinburgh had chances and a pretty solid penalty shout at 1-2. Hadn't realised until reading my programme that 2nd place is worth going for - presumably 2nd place in both conferences play off against each other for a third promotion spot?
  11. I know I'm on my own with this.... Banks could play. He's leaving either in January or at the end of season (as others will I hasten to add), but whilst he's still here and earning a salary from us, (and if he's as good as he thinks he is) I don't see what we gain from having him sitting in the stand. Like I say - on my own with this I suspect!
  12. I took he game in as was in the area for the weekend. A classic match. Tweedmouth deserved the win, but on another day LTHV could have had ten goals. LTHV couldn't defend Tweedmouth's long ball down the middle of their defence, conceding three goals in a similar manner
  13. Do all clubs in the EoS have a pie hut? Had a good day at Tweedmouth at the weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed my pie and match programme. Not sure who to visit next, but a the prospect of a pie and programme would probably sway me!
  14. Was wondering if there's any prospect of the game v QoS being postponed due to Utd having international call ups? Shankland probably will get called up, and maybe one or two others for U18 / U21s (think Banks and Mochrie have maybe called up before?). I remember The Rangers having players called up for internationals and postpoing their Challenge Cup games (in fact they've done it this year come to think of it) - is there a minimum amount of call ups before you can look to postpone a game?
  15. I would love to think that would be the case, but ultimately money will talk. Pretty sure were he move somewhere in the summer he'd be doubling his wage
  16. I thought that myself, but don't think they're available now.
  17. I phoned up, wondering if there was a "special rate". But no, under-18 and adult are the only two rates (presumably born out of this new ticketing system) they have. Years gone by they had unemployed, student, OAP etc
  18. Anybody know at what point the tickets for tomorrow's match go up in price? Planning on taking my 4 year old boy tomorrow, but a bit peeved at paying £11 for him (was free at Dunfermline, Stenhousemuir) , but will probably end up going anyway.
  19. Was lucky enough to have been at all four. Was also at Albyn Park for a match v Carnoustie which finished 3 apiece. My only other visit was v Camelon last season and finsihed 0-1 - felt short changed that day!
  20. Yep, absolutely. Somehow that news passed me by at the weekend
  21. Been going to the fitba long enough to ken crap when I see it. Hope I'm wrong though
  22. Ah! I figured there might have been something that passed me by. Will be interesting to see if he's involved on Saturday - can't say I was impressed with him at Somerset Park
  23. Whats the deal with Troy Brown? Out the squad completely on Saturday and noticed he wasn't even involved in the Open Day yesterday. Afte seeing him at Ayr, I can't say I'm exactly bothered, but is this yet another crap Neislon signing and ditched already?
