Peterhead v Montrose
bluetoonscotty replied to Blootoon87's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Would love to know how many goals we’ve conceded from unforced errors similar to that one today. Seems we’ve got a ‘comedy’ goal in us every game. Combine that with us not having many ideas going forward and it doesn’t look great. At least we play good football tho! -
Will probably be another hiding but should be a good day out. A good laugh if nothing else. Hopefully we take a decent crowd down

Opted for the megabus today. A few injury doubts for this one and with us playing so many games recently I’m unsure if we will be able to keep up our recent levels of performance and pressing for the full 90. But hopefully we can put in another solid performance and take at least a point back up the road.

Falkirk v Peterhead - 22/2/22

Thought we were great again last night and could have easily taken the 3 points with those Savoury and Ritchie chances later in the game. If we can keep up this level of performance and just become a bit more clinical we’ll give ourselves a good chance of staying up. Dumbarton at home this saturday is huge, must-win. Must say, I was a big fan of the Falkirk subs warming up on exercise bikes [emoji1787] Don’t think I’ve ever seen that -

As has been mentioned, the Dumbarton game is huge this Saturday. Got a good record against them this season but we saw how that went against Alloa. Must-win -

Desperately need to start putting points on the board and take advantage of these games in hand but I can’t see that starting tonight. Think we’ve lost every game at the Falkirk stadium since they’ve come down.So I fear it’s going to be a long drive back up the road tonight. Can only hope we’ve got some sort of good karma to cash in on for our recent performances. A goal would be nice though, I’d take that -

Was about to ask the same thing, have sent the ticket manager an email so will see what they say -
Peterhead 0-0 Alloa

Same old story this season seeing plenty of the ball but doing absolutely nothing with it. The only sort of plan we seem to have going forward is give it to Ryan Duncan and hope he does something with it. Just zero creativity when we get into that final third -
Has a pretty good goalscoring record, especially for a midfielder, 14 in 20 starts, for Rothes this season so will be interesting to see if he can carry that into League One

Peterhead v Cove January 2nd 2022.

Thought we played well at times today and deserved something from the game but just lacked that finishing touch. Duncan and Cameron especially were highlights for me. Just a shame to lose it like that. -

Seen this on the SFA list of suspensions so would assume Megginson and Mulligan both out for this one -
Peterhead v East Fife

Such a poor game of football, conditions won’t have helped I suppose. We were so wasteful, about 4 corners in a row rolled along the ground to the first defender and we sent a fair few efforts into the bushes. A game we really should have been looking to win, especially at home, but a draw not the end of the world. -

Thought Mulligan, McCarthy and Payne were excellent today. Played some of the good stuff this team is capable of after the sending off and took control of the game. We do need to cut out these slow starts to games and lapses of concentration at the back however. To concede right from kick off after going head was poor. Can’t have too many complaints though, two wins on the bounce scoring 9 goals, happy days! -
That McGinn goal really was fantastic, watching it back on the TV

Brett Long keeping us in this one as has been the case too often this season -

Left back been an issue since Paddy Boyle left, Conroy is not the answer. I struggle to see McInally’s fascination with him. Supposedly a “set-piece specialist” but I’m yet to see him produce anything in that area either tbh -

Pretty poor performance from us, offered next to nothing going forward. Boy looked like he made a meal of it for the penalty but might’ve just been the view from our angle. Regardless Montrose deserved the three points, will need to improve in the coming games -
Got a call from the club today asking about it so I was able to go down today and renew mine. So they are definitely doing renewals but I’m unsure if they are offering to new holders aswell. Hadn’t seen anything on their socials either so was lucky I got that phonecall. The date I was given to renew by was 1st July.

Joke of a decision, this refs giving us nothing

Some revenge for that playoff final in 2018 would be pleasing. Will be tricky though, especially given that Stenny have been a bit of a thorn in our side in recent years
-
Great news, hopefully get wee Lyall Cameron back aswell. Two of our better players before the suspension
-
Thought Isaac Layne was a bright spark yesterday at least, holding up the ball and linking up pretty well. Had a few decent efforts in the second half aswell
