  1. One station, Haymarket, and a 30 minute walk (or 10 min tram ride) back up the line to Waverley. Everyone on the train funneled down the one line, and if the train is busy at Waverley, you have no chance getting on at Haymarket. There are 4 different train stations within a 10/15 min walk of Hampden, and you can be on the M74 at Polmadie and away within 15 minutes of the final whistle if you park right. Better pubs around Murrayfield though.
  2. It's adequate compared to modern stadia, nothing more than that.
  3. FFS what an absolute roaster If this is what Junior football has to offer I'm sure your members will be banging down the door. Not yours, the SFA's
  4. Correct. Hampden - apart from South Stand - is ageing badly compared to modern stadia despite its much vaunted 5 star status (which means little to the paying fan). I want to stay there but there needs to be a debate amongst all interested parties as to its future, and if it is "saved" how to redevelop it to stand the test of time, and how to look after QP's interests.
  5. There was another poll held the same day as that SFSA survey came out, on another TA FB page, just over 500 voted and 75% responded with stay at Hampden. In think hard core Scotland fans on the whole want to stay, and they are the guys who use the stadium most apart from QP fans.
  6. Let's face it, this suggestion that we can use Tynecastle, Aberdeen, Easter Road, Rugby Park for smaller matches is an utter myth. Fair enough for low-key friendlies but we do that already, almost all competitive Scotland games draw crowds of more than 30,000. There was a stat saying something like only 3 or 4 qualifiers on the last 20 years had under 30k, but the other 3 or 4 were all still above 20k. So your choice if you move away from Hampden is Celtic Park, Ibrox or Murrayfield, the latter of which would be an utter nightmare to police for OF Semis or Finals, with poorer transport links. No thanks. The SFSA pish survey was twisted - deliberately - to say only 15% want to remain at Murrayfield. If you look at a couple of Tartan Army FB pages, one poll has it at 75% remain from 500 responses, the other is something like 52% remain from 1000 responses. These people, apart from QP fans, visit Hampden more than anyone else. Who is fooling who here?
  7. Gauld got the last 7 minutes for Aves today in a 1-2 defeat.
  8. Great post. The bit about clubs not continuing in their present form, isn't it a case in England that clubs can take voluntary relegation down their pyramid to find a level where they can rebuild and recover. Not an option in Scotland of course.
  9. Didn't some Fife clubs want to reorganise the East Region next season back to Fife Leagues, Perthshire Leagues and all that.
  10. I don't care enough to get into a pointless forum argument with some SJFA eejit. Life's too short for that sort of pain.
  11. Listen I'm not here to shine a mirror on yer rantings and I'm not getting into a rammy as I don't care enough. If the Juniors want to stay separate then its upto them but the clubs themselves need to open their eyes to what is going on here. Some already have like Kelty Hearts and hopefully others do as well and we get a proper non league structure which would benefit the game. If it starts on the back of a fag packet who cares.
  12. Aye because your posts are a wee bit embarrassing to the Junior grade and it's rather obvious who you are. The proposals on a back of a fag packet appear to be more than the Junior leaders have ever come up with. Donkeys.
  13. Hi. Listen mate, I'm an interested observer here and jotted down some opinions over the last few pages. I'd like to see the Juniors in the Pyramid, I watch a bit of Lowland League and they should be involved. Junior clubs are being lead by donkeys. You come across as a right roaster having a complete meltdown, I hope for Junior fitba's sake you're not Tom Johnstone or anything to do with the running of the game otherwise donkeys is being kind.
  14. Aye cronies. All of a sudden the SJFA are interested and apparently they have a cunning plan, as the threat increases of more member clubs planning to leave like Kelty. Not aware of any cunning plans over the last few years. Policy on the hoof, the same poor planning you criticise BSC for.
  15. Your posts read like an SJFA statement. Anyway no point arguing as your position is clear. People need to set aside any bias and ridiculous conspiracy theories and look at a West of Scotland League and what it could offer. Kelty have joined the East version so assuming it mirrors that then it will be attractive to some. Change will not happen if it's left to the SJFA cronies.
  16. You sound like you know more than you'll admit to. Quick to defend SJFA and quick to rubbish the BSC idea. Hmmm.
  17. There's one thing, this email has got people talking which is progress suppose. It's a bit bizarre that this meeting on Friday appears shrouded in secrecy, doesn't appear that Junior clubs even know much about it which is strange. Is Glesgaboy this Tom Johnstone guy ????
  18. Problem appears to be that the SJFA have unrealistic expectations as to where they are in the pecking order which will probably lead nowhere. At least the West of Scotland League offers clubs a chance to progress and brings balance to the Pyramid below the Lowland League. It ticks a lot of boxes and the SJFA should be seriously considering it's merits otherwise clubs may just jump ship to it anyway.
  19. I'm not sure the SJFA are in any position to demand their structure at the top end is at the same level as the Lowland League. They had their chance years ago and blew it. BSC's proposal is one that has been talked about on here for a while and appears to be the final piece in the jigsaw with the Juniors coming in below that.
  20. Indeed, but I think I'll be proved correct. How's your list getting along?
  21. How do you deduce it will be half baked because an email has a few grammatical errors? Cmon.
