Just to clarify, I don’t think anyone has said we should “easily dispatch them”. However we went there today with a better team than them and on a good run of form so why are we trying to pretend a draw was a good result. Why shouldn’t we have expected to win today? Why can’t we be disappointed that we didn’t?
Because we took 10 points out of 12 from you last season. Because we have been in the play offs every season since we have been in league 1. Something that you haven't. You are in the seaside league on merit.

I take it ganting is a Fawkirk word.

Falkirk by far the better team second half and looked the more likely to get the win until the last 10 minutes when we decided to have a go.
Looked like a stone waller penalty when Kennedy went down. What was the verdict from Bairns end?
A draw probably the fair result.

Great strike for the goal but Mo defence let him run through without a challenge.
Thought we've been the better team first half.

Good to see our injury list is getting shorter. A really strong bench last week paid dividends when they came on in the second half. Both teams in good form at present so can see a very tight game.
I'll go for a hard fought 2-1 home win with CJ scoring a late winner

Depends which Mo turn up.
Last Saturday, abysmal. Midweek, fought for everything.
I'll pin my hopes on the latter.

Cause we had a man sent off and then decided to go 8 upfront and 1 in midfield
It worked against us in the play-off albeit you had 2 in midfield.

Apologies to the PA guy: he did mention the Airdrie scorers, maybe I was making too much noise as well.
Believe me, he annoys many of us as well as the away support. There's absolutely no need for it.
To the game, as said above, we took our chances, Airdrie never. A very good game all in. From my perspective, Airdrie were a far better team than Edinburgh. How you managed to lose 6 to them is beyond me.

Games probably be off.
My son-in-laws junior match is off.

Very comfortable win today even with 10 men in the second half. Big Kerr and Dillo excellent again. Peterheid look like a team who know their fate already. They had very little to offer.
Back to the Mo. We are in a great place . 3 wins in a row against teams who I expect to be struggling below us. We still haven't been at our best but when we clear the injury list, we'll be a match for anyone in the league

Mo never find it easy up at Balmoor although we haven't lost there in a while. Been a few dour 0-0 and 1-1 draws. Our defence has been solid and the goals are now coming thanks to our new striking partnership of Rory and Kerr
Mo to snatch it by 1 goal.

. Decent finish as well, maybe a bit of confidence and a few games will see his contract extended after January, extra attacking options wouldn’t be a bad thing
He's signed on a 2 year deal.

Despite what the score says, our keeper had a couple of great saves to make it more comfortable than it might appear. That said, it was fairly comfortable. Kelty finding things a bit tougher at this level. Rory making a huge difference for us up front, a target man that we haven't had for years. Shout out for Big Kerr. He is colossus for us just now and thoroughly deserved his MOM award. Big game next week if we can win will put a massive gap for those at the bottom to catch up.

Certainly no classic but we done just enough to deserve the points. Good to see Rory get his first for the team. He's something we've been missing for years. Took his goal well, as did big Kerr. Annoying to lose a goal from a corner to us. Winning games like this is what will ensure our league 1 status..

Bitterly disappointed with the result. Thought we were worthy of a point based on our first half performance. Our keeper had very little to do in the first half. Pars better team in the second and their keeper had very little to do in the second. Three games in and one goal conceded against 3 full time promotion hopefuls although we haven't scored yet, I'm confident they'll come. Our team was very much on the bones of their arse today with 4 or 5 first team choices injured. Not too disappointed with the start of the season. Was always going to be a herd start for us. The turnstiles before the game were an absolute shambles. Stewards running around like heidless chickens.

good player, can play CB ,RB and CDM not afraid of a tackle and good on the ball
A right back, exactly what we are needing. Good bit of business hopefully.

Watching a show last night about Scotland’s worst serial killers and it got me thinking; do Montrose have any celebrity fans?
Our biggest celebrity fan is Hamish. If you haven't heard of him before, by 5pm tomorrow night you certainly will have.
Expecting a tough one tomorrow and would gladly take a 0-0 right now. It would be nice to see a goal though. (edited to say for us)
A gripe though. Dunfermline should get to grips with the fact that they are in the seaside league now.

Highlights. Should be pretty short.

Very poor game all round. Neither team deserved to win it. QOS probably had the better chances although we missed the obvious golden one, the pen.
Final footnote. What a p***k Max Currie is. Moaning about kids not giving the ball straight back to him. These kids were about 6 years old and could barely see over the wall, let alone throw the ball straight back to him.

Very encouraged by our performance at Falkirk last week. Just have to convert some of the chances created. Think Midge and Rory could be a good combination when they gel.
2-0 home win.

Coming in from a Mo fan perspective, not to gloat or pi$$ take, but try and give a view from the other side. For a full time team who hope to push for the league, I thought Falkirk were very poor. Simple 10 yard passes were going straight to Mo players. You had a few scary moments (from our point of view) but very little threat up front. Defensively quite solid and a few have given Donaldson MOM. How he managed to escape a yellow card is a mystery. He was hacking at anyone who went near him.
As I said, I'm not here to gloat but to give an oppositions point of view. I know we're no world beaters but on that display, I'd be very surprised if Falkirk are serious title contenders.

Was very apprehensive about the coming season. However, after watching today, my fears have been quashed. McAllister is a huge signing and he had a great debut. He was a menace every time he played against us and he gave the Falkirk defence a torrid time today. Also impressed by the loanees. Goalkeeper looked solid and the 2 lads from Ross County looked full of energy.
