  1. Give it time.... May God forgive me, but I really, really hope Hearts win the cup.
  2. This a refreshing change of tactics. Rather than start defensively and then bring on five attackers for the last twenty minutes when we’re already three nil down, we’ve decided to do the complete opposite. I’m looking forward to a switch to 6-4-0 in the second half in an attempt to restrict the damage to single figures.
  3. Maybe he's "injured"? Otherwise, Motherwell sticking with the same team and Celtic adapting to counter them speaks volumes about their respective confidence. Still reckon we'll get stuffed, though.
  4. Not. Craig. Samson. There, that's my expectations suitably managed. Just as well too, as on our current run of luck it's almost inevitable that Chapman will be attacked by a swarm of African killer bees at Livingston on Saturday, and be out until the heat death of the universe.
  5. Look, son, I told you I wasn't making it up! There it is in the coaching manual.
  6. He was never fast, and he's probably slower than a glacier these days, but he earned every bit of the man-love we lavished upon him before casting him aside like a used kleenex.
  7. If Tait (note spelling) is playing we should get Seedorf off the bench to run at him for the second half. That could be comedy gold, one way or the other.
  8. I'd like to think they'll actually come back fitter, sharper and with a dash more confidence, but I've been disappointed before.
  9. At least they're playing him, it would be sadder to see him sitting on the bench every week. (Or "Doing a Hastie" is it's now known - just a shame it's our bench.)
  10. Just one of those random posting coincidences, or a favourable omen sent from the gods themselves? Either way, it seems a bit harsh on Coleraine.
  11. Uncanny resemblance to Dash from The Incredibles, right down to the number.
  12. I'm guessing that the people who're putting Gallagher in their team haven't actually watched any Motherwell games this season? While by no means the worst performer in a thoroughly miserable set of performances, he has hardly recreated the form that got him the call up last time either.
  13. They don't have to be great, they just have to be better than us.
  14. We'll probably still find a way to lose 3-0.
  15. The same sort of thinking that saw Kelvin and Rankine re-baseline their scales to absolute zero. Probably after watching a Scotland game.
  16. Those expecting a 3-0 walkover against the Czechs may be in for a disappointment according to the UEFA guidance quoted by the BBC, depending on how they define "forfeited" in a Covid situation: "If the match cannot be declared as forfeited, the outcome of the match will be decided by drawing of lots (i.e. win 1-0, loss 0-1 or draw 0-0) carried out by the Uefa administration"
  17. A pie should be served on the finest porcelain, ideally decorated with the willow pattern. I wouldn’t let my dug eat off that plate!
  18. I miss the good old days when the choice was basically chicken or some unspecified "meat". Opting for a "Meat Vindaloo" was the sub-continent's equivalent of Russian roulette, only to be undertaken after at least eight pints. I also miss the flock wallpaper and the sitar music, but then I've never much liked change.
  19. Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone.
  20. Appreciate that this is tongue in cheek but rest assured it will be getting quoted back to you in the unlikely event that you do win the title, and in the far more likely scenario where you don't.
  21. One "inverted wingers" rant away from perfection.
