  1. After #permissionfromsajid has been trending on Twitter in Scotland, should we make #permissionfromBurnie_man trending on P&B?
  2. This is the SFA we're talking about. For all we know Bonnyrigg might get accepted to the North Korean premier league instead...
  3. Your power is so great that you can get Orkney FC to apply to join the SOS and accepted by them.
  4. The rules for admitting clubs to the EOS are set by the EOS and not by other bodies (like the SFA). To put them in a nutshell: if clubs apply before the deadline and match all the requirements they are pretty much guaranteed to be accepted. If they apply after the deadline it's up to the EOS to decide wether to accept them for the following season or for the season after. Accepting Kinnoul now is thus fully within the EOS rules. If they'd have been told "sorry, you're too late but you can join in 2020", that would still be within EOS rules. As far as I know, the SJFA works pretty much in the same way.
  5. There is a slight difference between moving the goalposts to stop clubs coming in and being flexible to allow more clubs to come in...
  6. Oops, I misread that post... When are those AGMs actually?
  7. Yes, the deadline for applications was 31st March. Late applications are possible, but it's up to the EOS whether or not they get accepted. It looks like Kinnoul only got accepted for 2019/20 as Eyemouth withdrew.
  8. But it's a Tayside team (ok, in LL territory, but still) who moved, so it will be 1 vote less for "Tayside".
  9. Exactly, fair enough if you are against VAR, but how can they say that "This is not the correction of clear and obvious errors"? Offside is one of the few issues in football that can objectively be determined as a yes or a no with no other interpretation possible. This goal was offside, so it was a clear and obvious error. Let's also not forget that just moments after the disallowed goal there was another VAR moment in England's favour (penalty for the Dutch or not?), another correct decision imo.
  10. Out of Scone and Luncarty only Scone could potentially still join the EOS. Luncarty are just north of the Tay line.
  11. I'm looking forward to the final on Sunday. I realise that it's only a minor trophy and I won't big it up ridiculously if we win it. But it's some silverware worth going for nonetheless. And for a good 4 years the national side have been absolutely honking so it's a great way to inject some confidence in the national team. Also, regardless of the importance of the trophy, winning a cup by beating the current World & European champions, the previous world champions and semi finalists of the last World Cup would be a tremendous achievement.
  12. Easy for your lot though, that's a 3rd round spot virtually guaranteed...
  13. Shame to hear that, will you keep running your youth teams? And will there be a team in the amateur leagues? All the best for the future.
  14. This tweet could suggest that not just Bonnyrigg will get a license soon. They don't have to wait for them as they are already in the Scottish Cup after all. I can only assume Dundonald are also expected to get one?
  15. Nope, it will be against other teams from the C division.
  16. Scotland are guaranteed a play-off spot for Euro 2020 because of winning the group, if the normal qualification route goes wrong.
  17. Decent game for the Dutch team, I'm happy with the result. Obviously the English defending in extra time helped.
  18. Interesting, a second Perth team in the EOS. Shame about Eyemouth though, I hope they will return.
  19. Brechin and Elgin I can sort of understand, both fairly close and with Elgin they have some history in the HL. With Cowdenbeath they obviously have a history, but still a bit of an odd choice, I can't imagine there will be a lasting rivalry with them. But Edinburgh City???
  20. Agreed, I've driven in a fair amount of countries and in Spain they are one of the worst. Although still some way off the worst country I've driven in, Israel.
  21. The champion will also have to start in the CL preliminary round tournament with the champions of Andorra, San Marino and Kosovo.
  22. When I went there I just walked and stopped off at a few pubs on the way. The walk back after the game straight to Waverley took me around 40 minutes if I remember correctly.
  23. At least they still get to play St. Andrews in that division (albeit their English namesakes).
