  1. No one knows whether or not Clinton's server was hacked. My point is that Mifsud talking about hacked emails in April is more likely to be referring the to ones which had been all over the media in the preceding months rather than the DNC leak which hadn't actually happened yet.
  2. That the emails had been hacked was widely speculated on in the media in early 2016. Here's a Forbes article from the 12th of February headlined. What If Vladimir Putin Has Hillary Clinton's Emails? https://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderickgregory/2016/02/12/vladimir-putin-hillary-clinton-emails/#228062d57d04 You can do a time restricted search to see that every major media organisation was speculating about the same thing. Who originally hired Fusion isn't relevant. Mifsud and the Trump Tower meeting look very much like two connected attempts to manufacture evidence of a conspiracy between Trump and Moscow.
  3. Mifsud has links to multiple British intelligence operatives, has been pictured with Boris and Tobias Ellwood, had a kid on job at a British university and a mysteriously funded think tank based in London.... Definitely not a British asset though. The Trump Tower thing with Glenn Simpson is unbelievable. He met with the Russians meeting Trump jr before and after Trump jrs meeting. It's an obvious set up. Also Stalinist I doubt you even know what it means.
  4. George Papadopulous is to testify to Congress tomorrow. He is going to say Mifsud is a British asset and the entire episode with him was staged. Added to Glenn Simpson meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya either side of her Trump Tower meeting and I doubt that Mueller will ever actually publish his report.
  5. I'm not saying it's an enhanced mandate but the explicitly pro EU party didn't do very well.
  6. The 2017 election result where the two dominant parties committed to leaving the EU in their manifestos (and got a combined majority of votes in Scotland to save the but Scotland mob some effort). If the result isn't implemented we'll end up with something like Trump where a genuine narrative of betrayal is used to enable the far right.
  7. I never mentioned unification; the notional semi-detachment of Ulster from the UK is a symbolic nightmare only for Unionists of a boneheaded mentality. Tradition, heritage, etc., matters less to most people than practicality. People in NI might want to try electing some representatives who (i) aren't boneheads (ii) actually turn up to work.
  8. I agree with that. However surely the economic, security and social challenges of unification would have a greater effect on every day life than border regulations?
  9. A Tory minister being questioned by Andrew Neill isn't bothered about whether street lights are on or not. She's quite happy to walk around in the dark!
  10. I didn't say that. They don't want anyone to leave regardless of the balance of power.
  11. The EU clearly still has ambitions of keeping the UK in the Single Market and are using the border as leverage.
  12. You don't think the council tax freeze contributed?
  13. The White House has brought out a report about the dangers of socialism. No one ever went broke underestimating the stupidity of the American public so the coup de grace against socialism is the cost of a pick up truck
  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-45954022 The European Commission rejects the Italian budget for not being neoliberal enough.
  15. Again i'm not H_B. My post named senior Glasgow Labour figures who have contributed to this mess so i'm not in denial about that. I'm glad that Labour has now returned to it's roots and is being led by people who have the best interests of working class people at heart rather than managerial centrists.
  16. Bradbury is already crocked. Fagerson will probably start in Cardiff now. Ritchie and Crosbie will get more game time for Edinburgh.
  17. You should stick to the emojis. It makes you seem less thick.
  18. The GMB have been working on this issue for years so accusing ex GMB Leonard of hypocrisy is baseless. Other Labour councils have already settled, definitely South and North Lanarkshire and North Ayrshire. I'm not sure why GCC wouldn't settle but they are corrupt as f**k especially the Brigit McConnell, Purcell, Willie Haughey axis. A lot of the SNP reactions to this are perfect for the "are you right wing?" thread. People are on strike, support them. They understand their personal circumstances better than you do and don't need to be second guessed by people with very little information.
  19. https://mobile.twitter.com/btsportrugby/status/1053715071652769792 Not embedding right cause of my phone but worth a click.
  20. Two nationalists on the same panel is a bit much.
  21. Best and Timoney trying to recreate the AB double spear on BOD. Very lucky he landed on a man on the ground to stop his head hitting the ground.
