  1. As for Wilder not running on the road it depends on the person. With his chicken legs it's probably best to stay away from hard surfaces.
  2. I saw this a while ago with LeBron James.
  3. Aye but if the one country is determined to f**k you over it might be better to have 27.
  4. The comparison is (obviously) with the actual election in 2016 not a poll.
  5. Is leaving the EU more complex than leaving the UK?
  6. A graph that explains why people in America are so pissed off.
  7. I think you need to be bigger at 6 than 8 these days. I only saw the first 20 minutes of the game on Saturday but the clear problem was that we weren't able to shift the Welsh defenders at the breakdown who were (illegally) slowing down our ball. Bradbury is the biggest unit we have in the backrow and the most obvious option for the 6 shirt. Barclay will be 33 at the World Cup and i'm not sure he is the man for the Ireland game which will be brutal and played at close quarters. He got completely over powered by Leinster in the European semi final last year.
  8. Owen Jones wrote a good book about that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Establishment:_And_How_They_Get_Away_with_It Three quid on Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Establishment-how-they-get-away/dp/0141974990/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541437074&sr=8-1&keywords=owen+jones The City refers to the financial services industry based in the City Of London.
  9. Aye because no one talked about elites before Trump. Those three are clearly part of the societal elite but within that group they are in the minority on Brexit. The majority is the side of Blair, Cameron, the CBI, DoI, the City etc.
  10. It's clear that the vast majority of the UK elite favour Remain. There's no majority in Parliament for a second vote but if there was then it would happen.
  11. Brexit has dominated the media far more than independence did other than the 8 weeks leading up. Funnily Yes seemed to hit a wall when the MSM got into gear. We've had two years of hardcore project fear - food riots, no medicine, no holidays - without any balancing critique of the EU. We can't just accept that if elites decide change is impossible to accept their verdict. A functioning relationship with the EU is achievable but it might have to be built from the ashes of a No Deal.
  12. I'm sure I read that Strauss's performance data showed he wasn't really trying as hard in his final season at Glasgow. A Bradbury -Watson - Thompson back row looks like the most balanced option for Japan.
  13. Imagine this. 52% of Scots vote for independence in Indyref2. The UK government responds by refusing to negotiate any change in the status quo. The BBC and media run daily negative stories on every bulletin about independence for two years. Would anyone on here be calling for a second referendum?
  14. Angus Gardener is a terrible ref. He was the ref when Grosso's skull got smashed by two NZ players in the summer. He also made this all time terrible decision. It's sad that no one has any confidence in rugby refs to make honest calls.
  15. Interesting to see that despite being a moron Trump has managed to inject demand into the economy and wages are rising. The US economy is obviously nothing to aspire to but do European leaders even consider what the end result of austerity is going to be?
  16. As an SDP candidate Polly managed to split the left wing vote and let the Tories take Lewisham from Clement Atlee's former PPS Roland Moyle. To be fair to her she has been extremely outspoken about the folly of another Labour split and since the GE last year she seems to have realised that Blairism is dead.
  17. It's a major news story. I'm not sure why you think it would prejudice an investigation?
  18. Lots of postives there for Glasgow. Harley, Grigg and Niko brought the extra bit of quality that decides games like this. Adam Ashe was superb again and Stafford McDowall looked the part. which could be important with SamJohnson being out for a while. Bhatti's work rate in the loose was impressive. Also either the commentator or Jim Hamilton said Hogg was close to coming back. The only downsides were the scrum due to Turner and some poor tactical kicking.
  19. He might have got a knock. Gibbins looked like he was struggling as well the full game. He was out wide in possession and nowhere near his usual in defence.
  20. Hughes caught out. Definitely injured.
  21. Try bonus at Munster and Ospreys in consecutive weeks with a weakened team is tremendous. See it out this time.
  22. Hopefully voters in London are too smart for that. The tweet about "get a kicking" is dumb but it's entirely in keeping with the metaphors used by MPs and the media. There are also some accounts posting anti Semitic which are definitely sock puppets.
