  1. Ministers instruct civil servants on every aspect of governing. As it stands there is no clear path to a second referendum unless May performs a huge 180 and abandons the manifesto she was elected on.
  2. They won the last EU election! In 2014 before non stop Brexit coverage.
  3. That's what I said. However they were the biggest party at the last EU elections despite not having a grassroots and if we actually have another EU parliament election it means that the two main parties will be back in the Remain camp.
  4. They will be all over TV and the papers though. They never had any grassroots to speak of in the first place.
  5. If there is any attempt to keep us in the EU a massive stab in the back narrative is going to take hold. What killed UKIP was both main parties supporting Brexit in 2017. If you don't think that a good chunk of the 17m Leave voters would vote UKIP then you'll have to explain why?
  6. UKIP would be certs to win any EU election in the next couple of years.
  7. Only the government can negotiate with the EU and only the government can set a referendum question.
  8. The EU Parliament elections are on the 23rd of May. There is no way they are going to let us take part!
  9. Exactly. And that's why the Brexiteers who aren't characters from a George Eliot novel are sitting tight. They will wait until we leave in the spring then go to town on the deal.
  10. Jobs, investment, you know, just the usual stuff, HB. Cutting back on a reliance on external investment/exploitation might not be a bad thing. It seems like the majority of our economy is things we can't be out competed on. Fossil fuels, renewables, food and drink, tourism, agriculture and quasi-nationalised manufacturing. American creative industries have no issues accessing the EU market so Scotland shouldn't either. It's not the 80s anymore with Japanese and American companies looking to build factories here.
  11. A great deal for NI means it's a terrible deal for Scotland. We'll suddenly be competing with a neighbour that's inside the single market. Competing for what?
  12. For a start the entire staff of her election campaign was employed by the foundation before the campaign officially began. And the foundation pays for their private jets and five star hotels.
  13. Assange bamming up the idiot son is hardly licking Trump's feet. He asked Donald jr to leak his Da's tax return to Wikileaks
  14. I've got some magic beans for if you think the Clintons don't benefit from their foundation!
  15. They weren't random private emails. The DNC emails exposed that the DNC was under the complete legal control of the Clinton campaign before the primaries even began. The Podesta emails exposed that ISIS is being funded by Saudi Arabia. Both sets of emails exposed the way that politicians and the super rich interact. The actually damning stuff about Pay to Play between Clinton and foreign leaders while she was at the state dept was pretty much ignored by the media.
  16. The completely manufactured charges to get him into Sweden then packed off to the USA.
  17. Do you think he shouldn't have published the emails?
  18. The media are a lot more worked up about Acosta's pass than Assange facing life in supermax.
  19. I think the DUP strategy makes sense. They know that massive psychological and economic obstacles exist to Irish unification so they aren't worried about that at the moment. What they are worried about is giving away ground constitutionally.
  20. Chief tea-maker and biscuit fetcher. Steve's a man's man. He looks like the sort of guy who will unashamedly let a fart rip during cabinet.
  21. Rudd took the heat for her over Windrush so this is a thank you. She is also a heartless cow who will be happy to grind poor people in dust via UC.
  22. It looks like the Brexiteer plan is to put pressure on her to alter the backstop agreement.
  23. We'll still be able to get bananas as well. No one who looks at photos from pre EU Britain can deny that we used to be a far more lithe people.
  24. In a movement led by Blair, Chukka, AC Grayling and that Jolyon idiot i'm not sure that is possible.
