  1. Hope that's a reference to his current club and not his physique
  2. To be fair I think McLean done the best he can with the players available. Plan was not to concede. Bring on Scullion and see if we could nick it. Lack of options or understanding in final third very obvious but we still made some chances in the second half. Might be where I was sitting but Forfar keeper looked to have pulled of 2 or 3 real quality stops.
  3. Agree with the above, can't see where the points are coming from until injuries clear up. Struggling to score, makeshift midfield and error prone defence. Still, weather looks nice so it's not all bad
  4. Is it just strikers we are trying to get in? How long is Rennie out?
  5. Option 1. We are totally crap and get beat easily. Option 2 we "compete" well and give a soft goal away on either 45min or 90 min. Can't wait
  6. FWIW I think the DoF and head coach format could be good for Clyde, particularly if we are successful with crown point. I don't think it came about the right way and was just a way to keep JD in a job. I never saw much from McLean as a player or captain to inspire confidence he will make a decent head coach but we will see, it's certainly sink or swim time for him. Best he can do with the current squad is get a bit of fight out of them, I'm not holding my breath for results until the squad is bolstered. As above my concern is we have a good chunk of budget but no-one to spend the money. I assume targets have been identified and we will continue to go after them. Problem is these will be JD's targets.
  7. Have the actual fear about the two games next week. I fear a new low beckons.
  8. Did a Dumbarton fan not say when he took over one of his issues was paying the going rate for players? Looking at the squad assembled so far it seems to be the case. I am struggling to see where the money is going so it would sense there is money left in the kitty. If the DOF won't spend it though we are really in trouble.
  9. Of the three I'd keep I think Salkeld was probably just looking to get fit then looking more local. Mullen might go for 1 year to earn a move which I would be happy enough with. Roberts will get a league 1 offer I think. A better manager might get a tune out of a few others but we cannot be gambling on injury prone players unless they will sign on on reduced terms.
  10. When I saw Salkeld was out I feared the worst tbh but the midfield really impressed me today. We are still prone to trying to shoot ourselves in the foot at the back. Lyon not clearing, McLean getting caught out of position, Sula seems to have a 10 minute window where he sliced everything! I will need to see the goal again but I'm sure that could have been cleared, but in Mullen we seem to have a better get out of jail card. It does seem to be happening less often and we are recovering our composure quicker instead of just falling apart, which is good to see. Scullion looks a new signing
  11. Our full back signing policy is reason enough not to renew my season ticket!
  12. I have the absolute fear about what sort of midfield we will put out next week.
  13. I thought our ability to shoot ourselves in the foot was known throughout the league! Still, going along today. Saw enough last week to muster a bit of optimism.
  14. Pretty routine away win on the cards. If I was Dunfermline I'd rest up some player's or even just start with 10.
  15. Hopefully going bottom (deservedly) will produce some sort of reaction from the players. Any sort of inspiration will need to come from them, as the manager seems to have thrown the towel in.
  16. Saw Morton released a few players that could fit the bill. Bit of a hard sell given our current plight. Best we can hope for I think is junior/ L2 players looking to put themselves in the shop window for a few months
  17. Absolutely brutal, the amount of times we simply give the ball to the opposition is absurd. Without Cunningham as an out ball we are no threat and our defence will always concede. Our fall to league 2 is inevitable. Duffy might just keep us in League 2... Maybe that's the plan
  18. Same old story, no surprise really. Good effort, no creativity, bad luck at key points. If we had an option of Kennedy or Cuddihy on the bench we might have scraped the point Moore was clearly playing for. As it is we will probably have them back for Dunfermline and Falkirk where we have no chance of taking anything. I would have put Cunningham in front of Sula and brought Allan on and had a bit more of a go when it was 0-0. Try to get a bit more going in terms of a counter attack.
  19. Running we can do, it's the whole football thing we are struggling with at the moment
  20. Need to score 2 or 3 to have a chance. We will easily ship a couple of goals minimum. Not confident I'm afraid 0 - 2
  21. Remove the small pitches and there is more than enough room for what we need
  22. Are we playing 3 at the back to cover for weaknesses in the LB or is this how Danny always planned to set up given the defenders brought in?. If we always planned to go 3 at the back I am happy to give it a few more games to let the players adapt. If not then it feels a bit like groundhog Day
