This is the biggest challenge. No doubt we have good players but I worry it may be square pegs trying to fill round holes. Agree nicol may not be best option but I can't see DL dropping him.

I really REALLY hope I'm wrong but given his coaching and media work I think that might be it. As AA says it's not a fitness issue (the guy is frighteningly fit) but he might be ready to call it a day. That said, he is a competitor and might have a bit of fire in the belly...especially if we go up!! Fingers crossed

I was chuffed when he signed for Clyde. Remember him as a standout for Arbroath at broadwood. Injury was a nasty one, and as a part time player maybe a longer recovery is needed. Maybe Stirling gambling on getting the best out of him now he has put the CL behind him. (Apologies if I am incorrect, I assume his issues have been form and not injury related this season)

Completely agree. I wasn't having a moan or a go at the manager or players. Sometimes plan A for some reason doesn't work. My comment was only meant as praise for having a manager and a squad that can adapt in game. There are teams at a much higher level that struggle to do that.

Wasn't at the game but sounds (yet again) DL made the right changes at the right time to turn the game. Not sure how he will address these "flat starts" but certainly having guys that can come on from the bench to change the game is a luxury we have not had for many a year.

No doubt the punishment dished out reflects the current league status (big clubs would walk away unpunished). I also have no doubt the timing impacted the result today. No disrespect to Elgin but it must have impacted the players as all the momentum and good will build up recently was wiped out with one club statement. That said we have time to recover and rally for the play offs.

Ffs, what an anti climax to the season!! Still, doesn't change the quality of the players we have. DL just needs to get there heads right and ready for play offs.

Every player who has come in due to injury has done a job so far this season and more and more our subs are having a positive impact. This could be the opportunity for someone to step up. That said (injury to DGW or not) I would like another striker brought in.

The Edinburgh game showed how badly we needed another striker. I'm just glad we have signed someone to give us an option or cover up front.

Same line up as the most in form team in scottish football for large parts of last season....plus Rankin!!

I think the board accept he will leave but want to get us out the bottom league before he does. The "six figure sum" is just to scare them off. Who in scottish football would pay 100k for someone they can get for free in a year.
