As long as you got to see thistles shot on goal that's the main thing. I donated the cost of the stream to Clyde in your name -
Clyde vs Thistle -17th October opening day

Agree but can't wait till Lang has to get into second gear. Strolled it. Fair play to sneddon, he played a blinder. That has to do Shiels confidence a real boost as well. -
Derby's make football so the more the merrier. I'm a recent Clyde fan so the rivalry doesn't mean that much to me personally but I am looking forward to all the games, home and away. Geography isn't the only factor, ask any crystal palace / Brighton fan and being in different leagues would naturally dilute the interest. For me, I am hoping for a 10 goal thriller (with Clyde scoring no less than five) with dodgy refereeing decisions, at least 1 wild red card challenge and possibly a car park fight That will get set the tone for the season

Gutted, but can only wish him well. Had the pleasure of chatting to him a couple of times and he was an absolute gentleman Massive job ahead for DL to replace him and Rankin Tough season ahead, but still looking forward to it -

Clyde vs Dumbarton 2: Electric Boogaloo

Yip, for someone so composed on the ball he can seem to be a bit rash in the challenge. But you need defenders who will let the strikers know they are in a match... as long as he is doing it outside the box and not getting sent off! His decision making will only get even better with a decent run of matches under his belt. -
Both teams with a lot to play for so should be a good one. Montrose seem to have our number this season so DL will need to change something. I agree with the above that this is not a game for Johnston to start. We need to complete man for man all over the pitch or it will be another stroll for the Mo.

Clyde fans! Lucky you. I had the James Forrest fan club surrounding me! -

If we had lost today I would have accused DL of shoehorning, but it's hard to complain with 3 points on the board. I'm not convinced you can have love and wylde in the staring eleven but DL has forgotten more about football than I know so as long as we are out of the relegation zone I won't complain. Was that really Lang's first senior goal? If it was the timing was perfect. -

Any sort of win today and Rankin to come on at any point and I'll be skipping up the road -

Would be happy enough with Lyon at RB but McNiff at CB would cause me some concern so fingers crossed Howie trains without any issue. -
Not sure if I feel about this game. Utter despair about the first half and defending or elation about DGW performance. End of the day it was entertaining stuff

I had a quick look at the league 1 final standings over the years an 40 points seems to be enough to keep clear of the relegation play offs. Given the injuries and a rather poor recent run I think we are doing ok to be on track for safety at the halfway point. Hoping the injuries start to clear up and we can start looking up instead of down. -
I can't remember him having stand out game but I agree, we always seem to be better when he is in. Hopefully he can spark a change in form today

Heading right into relegation battle territory. Need Rankin back. -
Clyde vs Peterheid
Clyde_1977 replied to BullyWeeStonehouse's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Peterhead done exactly the same as Montrose and stopped us playing. Too many passengers in the first half and frighteningly quiet. At least Duffie gave it back when pushed. Too easy for Peterhead I'm afraid -
Falkirk vs Clyde
Clyde_1977 replied to Only one David Marsh's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Hope both sets of fans come out in numbers tomorrow. Been looking forward to this fixture since they were announced tbh. From what I gather Falkirk set up more attack minded at home and if Clyde set up the same it should be a great game. Would much prefer to be going into this game with a match fit Rankin but have every confidence we can take something from the game with the players available. I'm under no illusions that Falkirk will be out for revenge after the reverse fixture result and a massive test for us. -

I really enjoyed the game, had a bit of everything. A well earned point against (from what I have seen) the best team in the league and a bit of pride restored -

I don't think I voiced my opinion on the thread but I genuinely feared the worst after our pre season. To be sitting where we are at after the first quarter (despite some disappointments along the way) is very pleasing. Injuries will be our main challenge this season, if we can get and keep the players we have fit we should be fine. A couple of long term injuries and I think we would definitely need to start looking at loans -
Montrose had a game plan and it worked a treat. The fouling was definitely a part of it. When you need points you do what has to be done and I'd be disappointed if the roles were reversed if we didn't show the same fight. Montrose were simply better in all areas of the field in footballing terms and the most appropriate word from this thread to describe Clyde was sluggish. This was the type of game we really missed Rankins energy and leadership.

100 % agree with the big guy the 4 games are winnable, and if they did it sets up a home tie with Raith. This team strike me as a group of guys who would love to right the previous wrongs! I can see the logic in dropping Smith but Johnston has been electric coming off the bench -
Forfar vs Clyde
Clyde_1977 replied to Only one David Marsh's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Just saw the goal mouth scramble. Blocking your own shot is a skill you just can't teach! Looked a good game, forfar will be happy with the point. I'm happy with our points total from a difficult month and the teams improvement.
