Completed. It's interesting the difference in our away crowd in comparison to when at home - that's been the case for donkeys seasons now mind you. The group at the back of the South Stand each week look about primary school age so haven't a clue where the older kids that frequent group singing areas in away grounds sit when we're at home. Hopefully the trial against Airdrie is a success.

My son is at uni and goes to every game , he doesn’t go where the primary school kids are at home games as he likes his own pals but in the heart of the singing  at away games( an eye opener for his mum at the United game 😂😂) so I think the older lads are spread out at home games and trying it at home game v airdrie is a good thing down the front of the stand and I completed the survey .

Original design was 1700. Changed to accommodate the Royal Box for 42 VIPs.  Masterstroke.  Although tbf I think costs ballooned during COVID and the all the material was coming from China,  we were well off the pace in L1 at the time the decision was taken.

Will it ever be increased or just keep the cosy agreement? That royal box is a joke and an affront to any normal football fan imo ( sure you guys agree as well)

Does our head in to mate! Trust me, we would rather be in a bursting Lesser than a soulless Hampden. But unfortunately, Lesser is too small, and the club will not spend the money on temporary/permanent stands whilst we have this cosy deal with the SFA that gives us access to Hampden and Scotland to Lesser.

I agree can’t be much fun for a normal game but if your playing us or Arbroath surely the capacity at lesser is enough, just taking the piss both sfa and QP.

The 4-1-3-2 is a massive gamble of a formation. It requires you to create more than you will likely concede once the press is broken, and requires a huge amount of discipline in the press.

No doubt not having a settled defence is an issue, I honestly am not sure Millen prevents the equaliser but I'm sure a settled back 4 having played a number of games together make s better go of the corner.

Yet the biggest issue today for me was that we didnt create enough up front. Hamilton won a bunch of headers but Vaughan -in possibly his worst game in a Rovers shirt- did little to hold the 2nd ball or do much useful with it.

Likewise, on the left, Easton has been off form for about three weeks now and does look a bit leggy.

I'm not convinced this is due to IM playing favourites or - In @TxRover's shite use of language on the other thread being "IM's pets" but that they still show up in training well, and both can still create something out of nothing.

Didnt happen today. I would have had Gullan and Smith on far earlier and would have kept the same shape.

We've been chopping and changing shape and personnel so much that you could argue folk are playing while fairly leggy when in a more settled, or less injury ravaged squad, you could cycle guys out a bit more naturally. Murray was arguably slow to change and predictable when he did so. Yet, we did have plenty of the ball in that final spell but lacked the quality for once to do something with it.

Murray didn't get much right today but has got plenty right in other games so far.

A title challenge was probably never on To be honest, we've swashbuckled our way into a decent position but United will easily slog it out to the title. We need to get a couple of bodies back fit and playing, and Murray needs to maybe be a bit braver with his starting line ups.

Gullan deserves a start next week as does corr, if going 4-2-3-1 next week then for me it’s McNeil ( Kev if fit) McGill , Murray , corr , dick, Byrne, brown , mullin, turner, gullan , Hamilton . Lewis and easton as impact subs

Happened to us in pretty spectacular fashion last season but think your squad has got a bit more about themselves. Plenty of football still to be played.

I think so but if you offered me where we are at the start of the season we would have bitten your arm off

  6. Disappointing day no question, we are on a bad run but still plenty football to play so not going full doom and gloom, most will write us off now but that will suit us , thankfully it’s the cup next week and hopefully a chance to play with no pressure. Long way to go and boys to come back COYR 🔵⚪💪🏻

There is one way to try it, but it misuses Matthews a bit. That would be to put Byrne in the Mid/AM role in the middle behind the striker and use Brown/Matthews at DM. I think Matthews is better suited to AM, but it would be a way to trial Byrne in that role...I just suspect it's not something he can simply jump into.

Byrne has never been an attacking type of player Tx for any team, he is 30 now think it’s a bit late to teach him new tricks tbh

Well done everyone for trying to help the lad form good memories out of this traumatic experience for him.

I'm sure he'll be feeling a bit better on the day in the company of those on the bus. But the main thing is that he doesn't have recurring issues with being alone on a street especially in the dark, or uncertainty attending Rovers games or other places, venues, etc., going forward from here.

    Definitely this mate

I’d actually think that O’Reilly/Dick might be a better long term CB partnership than O’Reilly/Murray. Yes, both suffer the dreaded two lefties disease, but I think Dick would be the better CB in the long run. Plus, sign O’Reilly for 18 months now, and we’ve covered Watson leaving in June. The other reason for this is Dick at LB is likely NOT going to work if we go up…and I have worries about Murray at CB if we went up, due to his tendency to back off a bit. Dick’s play any CB has been excellent this year, and suggests growth into the role, while O’Reilly really looks to be strolling at this level.

I wouldn’t like to see that combo tbh Tx, hope you enjoyed your trip over
