  1. Yes. Just joined recently on loan until the end of the season
  2. Can't make it along tonight but if we continue recent form then hopefully we do enough to take something tonight. Nice to have selection dilemmas. That's a luxury we've rarely had. Mon the binos
  3. Is there a pot of gold underneath the East Stand?
  4. Reminded me of the last home game against Queen of the south where first half performance might have brought more goals. Second a bit more even. Plenty entertainment at times. Thought that linesman had a shocker and spent the first half watching Dale Hilson get bullied multiple times before he eventually.got a free kick to ironic cheers. Carrick was excellent. Won a few balls chasing players down and was an absolute nuisance. Bit disappointed overall. We should have won at least one of those 2 -2 draws with Cove.
  5. Just back from the sunshine and looking forward to this. Same as last week please. Josh Cooper might just have done enough to earn a start.. .
  6. I do love what leitch brings and I agree there's no lack of effort there. Genuinely delighted to see him back as well as his injury had looked like it could have been a bad one. I've thought in the past few games we were starting to see the Dale Hilson we expected so let's hope that continues.
  7. I thought that too when I looked at the bench. I couldn't remember the last time we had 16 players named who were all of a quality to play. Leitch is what he is. He's got some quality on the ball particularly from set pieces but I've always thought he could be a defensive liability. I too think Cooper has been about the best attacking threat all season. Definitely a selection dilemma for next week.
  8. I think fotheringham is best as a #10. He can play wide but if the service isn't there it's a bit of a waste.
  9. Couldn't agree more. Never heard stuff like that at forthbank myself. I'm disgusted. My brother in law has been coming a bit this season and he's from Morocco. I'm glad he wasn't there to hear that.
  10. Sounds amazing. Sometimes everything just clicks. I've thought that recently Hilson had started to offer something and look like the player we thought we we were signing. It's fantastic to see. We had a pretty sticky run for a while and it's felt recently like we were coming back a bit but this confirms it more than I could have imagined. I've had a few to celebrate. Monday I'll be cheering on cape verde in the afcon with the locals. I'll see if I can persuade any local talent to come home with me and play for the binos
  11. Guess I picked the wrong week to go on holiday.... Looking forward to hearing from those who were there.
  12. I'd take Darren over slippy anyway. Although if slippy fancies pulling on his boots again that's a different story.
  13. Aye at least we will be due some decent compensation now
  14. Good news. Agree with the above. Darren youngs appointment turned us around after years of mediocrity. Best manager we've had since Allan Moore. Let's hope they let him build a squad capable of staying in this league for a while
  15. Seems pretty sensible.. Atrocious conditions for a game of football or anyone travelling to it. Unfortunately I won't make the rescheduled date.
  16. The wind is supposed to be about 50 mph at kick off time I think. If it goes ahead the conditions will be dire.
  17. How many times does the same issue occur before someone thinks about something to mitigate it. Its totally embarassing. The primary job is to make sure the pitch is playable for a Saturday afternoon. We won't get as many through the door on a Tuesday night either so it's a financial hit too. I do love a good grass pitch but appreciate its a lot more work. Hopefully it will be thawed out by Tuesday night and we can actually get a game to watch
  18. Gutted. I really wanted to get out today. I do find it a bit bizarre that it hadn't thawed our.
  19. Grass looks good through here. I'm thinking it must be 90/10 it's on.. Even the microclimate that is the south end penalty box must have warmed up enough by now.
  20. It can surely only now be the infamous strip devoid of sunlight that's putting it in question. I'm getting more hopeful as the evening goes on and the white patches on the back lawn are starting to disappear. Will be a tough game. We really got the run around first half in our precious hoke game against Hamilton and were lucky to go in only 1 down. Second half was as well as we.played all season. Will need a lot of that to take anything tomorrow but the past few performances have been more encouraging.
  21. Took his goal well. I can't say that looks like a red card to me. A booking sure. Hes focused on the ball and the guy hes challenging is too. Its unfortunate and a bit careless.
  22. Oh right OK. I had no idea that he could play there too. Interesting to have more options....in a few weeks once he's free of suspension.
  23. Great result. Would have loved to have been there. Was callum Crane playing left midfield? It wasn't easy to figure out how 3 Cbs and 2 LBs were lining up. To get 3 points on a day both Annan and EC managed draws made it all even sweeter.
  24. Good move all round. Spence is back soon and Offords signing along with hilson fit again was going to push him back down rhe pecking order. Have some great memories of him from last season but it just never really clicked for him this year.
