  1. Always liked him and when his fitness is there he'll frighten defenses to death
  2. It was a breeze - Just goes to show I know nothing!!
  3. To be fair Huntly defended well and we struggled to break them down. We have a few very talented young players but are missing a bit of experience in midfield and up front. Losing Seth Patrick was always going to be a big loss . Looks like a very hard game awaits us in Brora on Saturday.
  4. He sure is and we'll struggle to find anyone as good - he was a stand out this season.
  5. Do you not mean Shareholders?(rather than Season ticket holders) Our first AGM is in November since we incorporated and our Shareholders will appoint our first Board not Season Ticket holders. The largest Shareholders have more votes and thus more influence.
  6. If you think he was a good player you know nothing about football - a complete waste of a decent amount of money
  7. There is no transfer window in the Highland League - players can be signed at any time so no need to panic!
  8. Think a few players were held back for the Buckie game next week after having had to play Hibs B in midweek. I would hope that Spark, McLeod & McGrath would all start next Saturday.
  9. Anthony McDonald I believe - free agent
  10. Pity that he didn't say that before - the club would not have put in a substantial bid for him without being encouraged to do so by the player (or his agent). Good luck to him wherever he goes though - maybe Montrose can loan us Martin Rennie as he seems way off the pace at the moment after nearly a year out through injury
  11. It was dependent on the Members agreeing to changing the legal entity and that process took a long time from writing to members/ obtaining approval and then actually issuing shares. Before that the club was dependent on donations just to meet the wage bill let alone thinking about a plastic pitch.
  12. Hes right we do need to make the club more sustainable and that's the way to do it. The last lot were totally against this and that's why we ended up in the mess we were in. It's just ashame cause Neil dose a brillant job with the grass and has the pitch looking amazing. The "last lot" were not totally against this at all. The club would have had to raise a huge sum of money outwith the various grants that are currently available. The amount of money raised from issuing shares has meant that it is now possible which is extremely good news.
  13. I agree that there was a need for change and the present committee are doing a very good job and the share issue was badly overdue .I do however, take exception over your comments about having a" poor committee who didn't want new blood". This is factually incorrect. You are aware that any season ticket holder could apply to join the Management Committee . In reality however, very few people put their names forward for consideration as they didn't want to (or didn't have the time) to spend countless amounts of hours each month trying to keep the club afloat and competitive. Many of the people that left last year oversaw a number of promotions and one in particular, donated a huge sum of money over a 10 year period so that we could pay our wage bill every week despite having crowds of below 400. We regularly punched above our weight for years. A couple of bad manager appointments (Barry Smith stands out) sealed our fate but you are being disingenuous to people who oversaw much success over a 20/30 year period which is very unfair.
  14. I think that there is a genuine feeling amongst a lot of City fans that the squad we are assembling will be a match for most of the other 17 teams in the league. The new Manager is combining experienced senior players with a mixture of exciting youngsters and I for one can't wait for the HL to start. I have high expectations this season and as there is no transfer window in the HL I would expect that money to be raised from the share issue later this year will be partially used in the second half of the season to help us push on and perhaps win the league at the first attempt . New teams to play and new grounds to visit will undoubtedly mean that fans will travel again and I hope that the supporters club will run buses. 'Mon the City!
  15. It's absolute utter garbage you mean
  16. Kelty have announced 250 so I expect Brechin will offer the same
