  1. Middle England won't vote Corbyn into office so I don't think Labour will gain south of the border from the last GE where they performed better than expected. Most switchers down south will go Tory to UKIP if the government goes into the election offering a softer Brexit. The Lib Dems should gain ground with calls for a peoples vote. In Scotland I can see Labour slipping a little and the SNP taking the votes that were offered because Corbyn became leader. Quite possible the minority parties ( not Con, Lab) could receive more than a 1/3 of all votes.
  2. You get seriously angry whenever anyone criticises your beloved England. Because, as we all know, inside every No voting Scot is an Englishman desperate to escape.
  3. Hi troops. Today, Sat 6th October will probably mean very little to most of you. For me it'll remain etched in my mind forever. When I rejoined this forum for the 283rd time I thought I might be finished. I thought I'd be washed up. I thought the common (non-moderator) member would have thought I was actually a homophobe. When I sat down with fresh A4 refill pad number 283 to chart my username, I scribbled down - "rep neutral by 100 posts" in bold blue lettering. I underlined it four times! I underestimated you all. I forgot that behind every username is a user with a name ( mine is Grahame for example). I've remembered what this site is about and it's the people. Some of you might work in B & Q, some of you might be hedgefund managers. Some of you might be forced into cycling, others might own a snazzy sports car. We are a broad church but it's nevertheless still a church, and I thank the congregation for the 121 green votes from the bottom of my very deep (Perthshire) wallet. You know who you are xxx
  4. The holocaust denying bellend that runs 'A force for good' - a man so racist he was punted out of UKIP for his views - had targeted 200 plus Brit-nats. Pleasing there's no-one there.
  5. Yes. The population of Edinburgh is around 500,000. There wasn't the equivalent of 1/5 of Edinburgh present. I wish there was....there just wasn't.
  6. Absolutely no way there was 100k. 20,000 looks like the top end of the estimate.
  7. When faced with the choice of making your nationality Scottish or British, you choose British. Indeed you were so disgusted ( not delighted ) about this opportunity you incorporated it into your moronic signature. Absolutely nobody is fooled.
  8. The annoying part of the "How far has a player covered" is it includes the GK in the team average. Therefore virtually anyone who's subbed averages more than the team average.
  9. Have you ever met a genuinely smart bus driver ?
  10. Ruth Davidson completely flip-flopping from this in 2016 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/03/ruth-davidson-next-pm-should-not-block-scottish-independence-ref/
  11. Don't be fooled by the rocks that I've got, I'm still JJ fae the YY.
  12. Only a fool would think that middle England would return Corbyn. Polls are a guide not an absolute.
  13. You should edit again to add you walked the dog from Aberdeen to Gretna! Good work on the weight loss though. It's about finding a diet that works. That's why I love the Quavers diet.
  14. Could cause problems at check in: "Who are you checking in"? "Lex,us". "I'm afraid cars are not allowed on easyjet. Not even the Japanese Mercedes".
  15. Not the middle of nowhere; more the middle of 'go there!' One life. One shire. #visitperthshire #heartofscotland
  16. Mate of mine was certainly a borderline alcoholic. He'd opened up to me about his drinking, tucking away 200 units most weeks, although he hid it very well. 6 months after our chat he'd passed the UK driving test, bought a 5-dr Ford Focus, and had joined Dunkeld and Birnam GC. As part of his rehabilitation he booked morning Tee off times to keep the wolf from the door in the evenings. We're now a full year since his confessional and he went back on the bottle and is dead. The GC are still pursuing him after we cancelled his SO post-cremation. Bit nasty imo .
  17. Except she hasn't moved her office out of Govanhill! Dixon road runs parallel with the dreaded Allison st in the heart of Govanhill. Nicola of course is super popular there winning nearly 2/3rds of the vote. You're a fucking idiot.
  18. Agreed. When you're frightened of adults what better job to do than First Minister. It's the social recluses dream!
