  1. Sorry I think Obika had a very positive impact when he came on and I think we might just extend his contract, he is the sort of player that improves with a partner and on too many occasions when he has played for us, he has been the lone wolf and it isn't really his game............but he did it, says a lot for the man.
  2. You are spot on correct my friend, however methinks it is more about team confidence and giving our supporters back something after Sunday, what you need to remember is .............similar to the the Scottish national team, St Mirren are equally good at dragging defeat from the jaws of victory..
  3. Absolutely Magennis always did flatter to deceive, a good player but JDH is a better player IM not so HO
  4. he needs a valium before he starts and I need one after.
  5. They forget that without Holyrood, a lot of the work done there needs to be done elsewhere and will still cost money. Not saying it will be £ 100m, but the actual saving (if any) will be much, much lower than £ 100m And turning it into homes for veterans? How much would that cost for a building that never had the purpose of housing and as a result has never been designed as such? It could end up being cheaper to build an entirely new appartment block. If for whatever reason the current Holyrood building doesn't get used for its current purpose anymore it would probably be far more sensible to change it into a conference venue or something like that. Turn it into a model or local doss-house for the people with nowhere else to go, unless of course that is!!! that we don't have homeless people in Scotland because our wonderful government have sorted it?
  6. Feck off with your constant crap. Is that specific enough?
  7. Yeah was impressed with him as well. Was impressed with him when I watched him play as a 16 year old at love st. he was a big lad even then, not sure why we let him go....bit like ross stewart
  8. There is a hypothetical situation where Hearts & co win (league placing, not compensation). Reconstruction is done to the minimum to avoid potential further challenge (even though they can't afford it) from Dundee United & co (14-10-10-10 off the table as it had been rejected) so they go for odd top flught with 43 team's (13-10x3) and adding one to make up the space in League Two. A (big) stretch but not entirely impossible to reach that point given the shambles that would arise if they won. Edited 3 hours ago by itzdrk NOT SURE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING MY FRIENDM BUT IT IS NOT DOING YOU ANY GOOD, SERIOUSLY.
  9. They called the league far too early, stupidly quick. As far as I'm aware didn't make people aware of the potential costs of doing so, had they of done maybe they would've waited longer and weighed the cost up against just playing the games. Quite a few of the more sensible Hearts supporters are now talking sense re this whole shit-storm (and I for one do have sympathy; mainly for the other clubs, but a little for the real Hearts supporters), However there is always an exception to the rule and clearly you're it. Anybody who is seriously suggesting that mass gatherings should have been extended with this virus around is either just plain stupid or doesn't give a shit about his fellow human beings...............................I wonder which applies to you dear sir?
  10. Perhaps it did, just as it cost thousands of people their lives, but in either event...........nothing was optional, the government shut things down, correctly in my view
  11. You are just a greetin faced wee git wi aboot as much common sense as a three week old steak pie.
  12. I suspect you're wrong. If that's the case, then the bulk of Hearts petition can be dismissed outright. What Hearts wants is a bunch of orders that have the sole effect of changing the SPFL rules, viz: It would have been had I been the judge and ah wid ah sent em aw tae jayl as well.
  13. The Judge thought it possible that the available SFA sanctions of expulsion and/or a £1million fine could be illegal, but that it would have to be properly argued in court. Which would suggest the CoS at least has the power to order an alteration of the rules, not sure about the arbitration panel. The key phrase here is the 'the judge thought it possible', that is NOT law, it is one mans / judges opinion on a point of law and I reiterate that a court cannot mandate that a private club alters its rules, they can fine you for implementing them, but CANNOT make you change them, a moot point I understand; but a point nevertheless.
  14. Arbitration can do almost anything. From the legislation. WRONG, you really need to read a few more posts about what is and isn't possible. Perfectly possible for an arbitrator to order the SPFL to structure the league to conform with Hearts reconstruction proposal. NOT the case, an arbitration panel can NOT order a private association to alter it's rules, it can advise, it can fine and it can impose other sanctions, but it can NOT mandate that Hearts stay up or are reinstated, no way Hose!" The previous votes do not and can not tie the arbitrators award. And just because the SPFL don't want to do something doesn't matter, if they are found to be in the wrong the arbitrator can make them do it. The only restrictions is this It would be a s-t-r-e-t-c-h to argue that the SPFL Premiership being expanded to 14 teams is a explicitly not in the public interest.
  15. Arbitration panels do NOT have the power to force a private members club (which footy is) to alter their rules, as an example if you belonged to a male only golf club, certain individuals of the female persuasion might disagree and attempt to sue you or club for discrimination and whilst in today's society they might be considered justified, the courts could do squat about it, as far as FORCING you to change your rules.
  16. I understand fully, but if your pointing out what will happen, it's all, if you excuse the expression, utter bollocks as its a personal opinion, hope of what will happen. If you are stating something as fact, do not be offended if someone asks for evidence to back it up. It doesn't mean they are stupid, in fact not backing something up may be taken as you are stupid due to the fact you cannot back it up with facts, but try to cover it up with bluster. Edited 17 hours ago by Tannadeechee This McGregor guy is conveniently named as his complete diatribe is soooooooooooo full of shite, that it makes me wonder if he is really a farmer with nowhere to spread his slurry but here.

  18. A sensible post amongst a sea of kech, and spot on with the realities of finances in Scottish lower league football. I really don't have the answer, BUT I do know this ....... That real supporters of football in Scotland ..... NOT just Hearts fanatics, must be aghast at the disdain of a once well respected team such as Heart of Midlothian and their unreasonable exacerbation of a situation that stems from the fact that come the lockdown; ( caused by a pandemic that is killing thousands) they were the team that was to be relegated, to the extent that basically they don't care what long term damage they may do to 1; the game in Scotland. 2. other teams in lower leagues. 3. the integrity of their own club, simply because their tem was treated unfairly ................... well might I just mention that throughout the world this virus has ended the lives of around half a million people.
