  1. agreed. simple premise based on a plot line that has been done a hundred times before (man with shady past reluctantly brought out of contented/quiet etc retirement) and delivered with an innovative, fresh, exciting and fun take. Similar to how Bourne re-booted tired spy movies. I still enjoy the John Wick movies but with exploring the expanded universe, moves further and further away from what made the first one so special. But hey ho - 4 movies, likely a 5th, and a TV show all because of a dog - "it wasn't just a dog...."
  2. On FB, a hundred Dads across the central belt laugh out loud whenever they see one of their own refer to Sturgeon as "Wee Nippy" for the first time or for the hundredth time.
  3. I was quite pleased to see all the changes; thought should have done the same for the England game....
  4. I imdb'd it and was reminded this was the movie that conforms to right wingers' view on many conspiracy theories going around, centred around what seems to be one of their favourite subject matters - paedophillia. Saying that I liked Jim Caviezel in Persons of Interest and who doesn't like seeing a former US government agent pulled out of retirement to undertake a mission allowing him to kill johnny foreigner with such abandon?
  5. Stan Lee once said his day was ruined whenever he saw Spider-Man written without the hyphen. Same for me when Tennent's appears without an apostrophe or worse an "a" inserted instead of an "e". If both, I just go back to my bed.
  6. or hand in hand in desperately seeking escapism from the drudgery of following a team who will win 95% of their domestic fixtures.....
  7. you joke, but seriously would a social class driven by economic materialism come in and shake up a dressing room - give them a rollicking/put an arm around them and get them playing with a smile on their face again?
  8. Tommy Burns? Malky Mackay? Due to McLeish's second spell where it was pretty clear he had diminished in capacity, would put split his spells - second spell falls below Strachan.
  9. PnB seethe in some quarters more like judging by some seemingly wishful predictions on here....
  10. I don't need a shred of proof to know that these two would be insufferable as neighbours or if you were plopped beside them randomly at a wedding or some get-together......
  11. His visits to the Blue Oyster bar have been curtailed. I would be furious also.
  12. I imagine many of us have been guilty of idiotic takes on issues in the pol section through a heat of the moment response, myself included, but by Jesus, this takes the cake - one part of the sentence alone would do it never mind three.
  13. ha, like Maradona and Shilton. Good stuff.
  14. was that after Duk took an elbow to the side of the napper?
  15. Not a bizarre take at all. A perfectly reasonable contribution.
  16. Or Brown. But generally I think this is most folks' take on it. It would be nice to see a new face come into the squad, particularly as a reward for good form as in the case of Gauld, but not anything to get too het up about.
  17. The clock was ticking on Jim as he started reverting to conservative dogma bit by bit. In a debate on CRT he randomly accuses Hunter of being anti-English presumably because she is in the SNP. Loses his heid as he becomes full raging old yoon.
  18. They really have transcended into something beyond parody. Manufacturing arguments on imaginary proposals just to reinforce some kind of divide. It doesn't stand up to any form of scrutiny or sense, as we can see here from the hapless Bowie, yet on he plows. What a fuckin party of unscrupulous individuals.
  19. lawyer: Whatever you say do not say he was not ersing about and you were not negligent. No, Alyson, do not make any reference to that at all, even in trying to get out in front of it. It will seem odd and will just imply that he was indeed ersing about and you were negligent........ Alyson: "I am confident our little boy wasn't doing anything he shouldn't have been on the escalator."
  20. its mental. Like being sat in Ghent listening to the Belgian Sportsound and the equivalent of Kenny McIntyre excitedly interrupts everyone to announce that Heerenveen have pulled one back against Vitesse.
