  1. Friend was on holiday (Magaluf or Tenerife or something) staying in a 5* hotels which was "fully inclusive". Mentioned the fact that it was 5* and fully inclusive quite a lot for some reason so I just parrot that robotically whenever I mention this. He said one of the guests came down in the same Wolves top and shorts (but not kit socks) every morning for breakfast for 4 days running. I assume he did not change out of the kit after breakfast but he may have done so. Despite not seeing this for myself, I think about this more often than is normal.
  2. Kennie surmises that the easiest game that Liverpool's Ian Rush and Barcelona/Bayern/Chelsea/Utd's Hughes had in their whole career resulted in a one nil win due to a contentious goal. Always great to have new insightful analysis on this part of the Board - whether it be fishing and/or through spouting attention seeking absolute nonsense.
  3. Grant Shapps, the transport secretary, and one of the best media performers in the cabinet, has had the awkward job of defending Johnson on the media this morning. His argument has been that Johnson made a mistake, but that he’s only human, it wasn’t intentional, and that he’s truly sorry. He told Sky News:
  4. but fortunately Glenn Campbell was on hand immediately afterwards to try to spin the interview in summary as something coherent, consistent and more strategic.....
  5. This captures it perfectly well: Ross: my position on this has been perfectly clear from the start. Gary Robertson: it's clear in that you have significantly changed your position Ross: yes, but....
  6. Taking a step back from it and looking at the shitshow that has gone on with a fresh pair of eyes, you have to hand it to Johnson in terms of the manner he disregards his previous utterances and lies - even when presented to him verbatim. Absolute shameless and without a hint of embarrassment.
  7. I think the narrative of "during a war" needs to be challenged v quickly. The UK is not at war. US, UK, NATO and other donor countries are providing weapons, AVs, PPE/body armour and humanitarian support to another country actually fighting a war.
  8. Am sure you will understand how easy it is to lose track of stated voting intentions with every new alias.
  9. Who in their right mind would want to break away from this union of equals of ours? Adored and respected on the world stage - I can see why the posters above are as relieved and happy as I am by common sense prevailing amongst the electorate. A lifetime of the Tories await us all and on today of all days, I couldn't be happier!!
  10. looks like it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61083402 Now neither will resign. They will both seek to ride it out (maybe even turn on each other) - that's the Johnson/Tory way. Ride it out till it dies down a smidgen until the latest scandal comes along. what are the favourites/odd's on line they will take: 1. police interpretation of the rules differs from Johnson's interpretation of the rules; 2. fined for being at a party but had considered it to be a work event; 3. insist the fine was for a one-off event they had attended and ask for forgiveness; 4. don't agree with fine and won't pay it. No rules were broken! Am gonna go with 1 and maybe a combination of 1, 2 and 3..... Fuckers.
  11. I was being sarcastic in reference to the omission of Brexit in the list that I quoted.
  12. whereas everyone expected the following: - England edging every further to the right and voting through Brexit; - Brexit having a huge detrimental impact on the economy; - Tory Government embracing and actively promoting sleaze, corruption, and lies;
  13. The B-word that Reporting Scotland dare not utter....
  14. this is the guy who checks regularly to see whether his followers/those on Twitter remain proud to be British. I thought it was a parody, and in a way it is, but pretty much conforms to the post Brexit, Union Jack chugging, f**k the poor/vulnerable stance that the Tory party and its voters are proudly and more loudly embracing.
  15. BBC HQ continue to run Brexit chaos stories and if you go on to the UK section of BBC News you will see some quite prominently positioned reports such as the one below. Therefore it is quite difficult to reconcile that with what basically is a piece of propaganda editing - if BBC Scotland see what BBC HQ is posting and commenting on in relation to Brexit and the continuing chaos and implications, then why should Reporting Scotland or BBC Scotland editorial go in a different direction which can only help the Scottish Tories (by masking yet another of their by (direct association) failures? It can only be politically motivated and editorial bias - what other explanation is there? BBC Scotland, out on its own to flight the good Tory (and Labour) fight.....
  16. I wonder which of the 4 that Leckie is discounting? The image probably as he didn't actually say it and therefore merely forwarding something is "bantz". Wonder which of the images/statements Speirs considers is made up?
  17. Sunak has referred himself to the iron authority and robust non-partisan assessment of this guy: Lord Geidt, Johnson's ministerial standards adviser, now cuts a pathetic figure. The credulous man actually believed the prime minister when he said he knew nothing about a businessman buddy, Lord Brownlow, paying for the refurbishment of his Downing Street flat until the media mentioned it in February 2021.
  18. more an annoyance than a trope but on occasions when a movie needs to include a main character who is also a comedian doing stand-up, that comedian will be considered by one an all to be hilarious and they "killed out their tonight" - with the audience laughing and clapping uproariously. However the material/jokes will invariably be as funny as a kick to the nuts. I imagine it is because the screenwriter(s) attempt to do the stand-up material themselves rather than just rip-off some famous comedian's material. And they seem to all dip into the same well when attempting this. The Apple TV show Slow Horses is the latest show/movie that reminded me of this particular bug-bear I have.
  19. yep. I love Scotland games and the internationals (particularly when we are doing well) as much as the next TA fan (though mainly limiting myself to home games these days), but some of the responses on here not too far off "disgusted of Turnbridge Wells" furious at the Coronation Street slot being pushed back due to a 9/11 type news flash.
  20. is that Limmy's drawing? I enjoy the way the lines form around the arms and how their blurriness contrasts with the definitive clear form of his dick. Mesmerising.
