Our back line is tragic on paper, not sure if it’s a 4 or 5, but think it’s a 5 with 2 of the slowest players in the league with Kelly and Parkes. Criticised the lineups before this season and it’s worked, so here’s hoping again. All I’m saying just now if st j can’t score against that back 3 they should fold as a professional club.

The idea of people who have travelled but don’t have enough points for the away end, going along to the pick up point to gain 1 point is an interesting idea and would certainly help with the closed shop shouts. Wondering what people think of it? To me it can only be a good thing, benefits those who have made the effort to travel, and can’t be abused by harvesters.

Not sure how others are feeling, but personally feeling a bit done with the Guthrie love affair. Don’t get me wrong, he’s better than he was last season but he’s really not doing anything special, and not enough to warrant starting over Bruce. Actually feel as though Bruce is almost better than Guthrie in every department including his hold up play, maybe not defensive headers but if that’s what’s dictating him starting over bruce then dearie me. There is the argument that Guthrie is wearing them down for Bruce to come on but Bruce is generally needed as the impact sub late on because we haven’t created any real chances when he’s off the park. Also feel like Stephen Kelly starting would increase our creativity a lot.

We didn’t start the game with any real goal threats on the park, and when we controlled it we never looked like creating chances or scoring despite being dominant. Thought we should’ve had Anderson, Kelly and Mackay on a lot earlier, potentially starting Anderson and Kelly. Feel as though martindale is just going to continue persisting with Guthrie for the foreseeable.

I almost had de Lucas and boyes in the same bracket last season, in moments both had been excellent and then others very nervy and unconvincing. I do feel de Lucas has always had the natural attributes of the height and pace to help him. Was hoping they’d both kick on, to start the season de Lucas has been excellent and boyes has barely had a look in. I’m sure martindale said last summer his plan was to send boyes out on loan to develop but injuries to other defenders forced him to stay, think it’s a really good move for him and feel like he’ll be a solid cb at champ level.

Whoever the ref was in the home draw with Dundee United that shat it and didn’t send freeman off when it was 1-0, I blame him.

I don’t know if I’m right to be anxious but it would be very nice to get this away goal hoodoo out the way this weekend. Think hibs probably have one of the most vulnerable back lines in the league just now. While we seem to be a lot more solid just now, we have one less “attacking” player on the park, and already as the lowest scoring team last season, I do worry about us scoring goals this year.

Singling out a players performance in one match can be a deep rabbit hole to go down in the full context of a season. Sure he went missing for half the season, but almost every other player went missing after January too. I’d be surprised if we didn’t accept 350k, but whether that’s actually any use to us I have my doubts considering we’d lose such a major part of our team and have to replace him.

Not that it’s very ideal but if you wait a couple days someone will resolve it no doubt, or phoning our reception would most likely get it solved they’re usually pretty helpful. It has to be east stand for away fans this game, our season ticket holders are spread fully throughout the west stand so no room for any segregation in there.

Sangare dropped an absolute stinker today, one of those times when one player off the boil against such a high standard of opposition can punish you. Not keen on people writing him off though because of one game, it’s hardly the easiest place for a guy new to the league and team to perform flawlessly.

We are going to commit absolute atrocities towards the “beautiful game”, attack vs defence with an overwhelming amount of shithousery. The longer we can keep it 0-0 that rangers crowd will quickly become very toxic. No Scott arfield to come on in the 70th minute to break livi hearts, my optimism may be mislead but I’ll hope and pray for a 0-0.
