The net fishermen of Lake Chapala Mexico, have trained Chihuahua dogs to swim down to free nets snagged on the rocky lake bed. Although a shallow lake, some dogs have been timed holding their breath underwater for just over two minutes.

To use Sterling would be a sign of being feart. I'd argue for a new currency for a new country. There sure as hell is a load of material to use to make them think twice about staying with what is pretty much the failed state of UK.

Surely an independent Scotland would use its own currency. Why use anything else? Set out as we mean to go on and with the belief Scotland and its own currency can stand proud on the world stage. Given the pathetic state of the UK government and the total mishandling of Brexit is there any way a second referendum will be anything less than an an overwhelming Yes?

Station to Station is a stunning album as is Heroes.
Cover version of Heroes by Nicole Atkins (with Postmodern Jukebox) is just brilliant.

Pray for barristers, they'll be sleeping in the streets outside their chambers next.
If anyone could donate a hundred guineas...
Would that be a donation to their chamber pots?

There is a big market out there for certain rare vinyl I buy some not as a investment I like to play music. Had sticky fingers with a gold zip while the vinyl was white label. A customer is a huge Stones fan so I gave him my copy for his normal copy he will get more pleasure from it than I would. He had been searching for a original copy of their debute album so I gave him that also. He was like a wee child at Christmas. One album I do regret not buying was Happy Monday's Pills N Thrills it was going for £200. The cover was of sweety wrappers very rare which Happy Monday's had to change due to copyright. Went back the next day to buy it after a lot of thought. It was gone should have bought it when I seen it.
Agree that the real joy is in playing and listening. I'm currently looking for excellent copies of LPs to replace less than perfect copies of mine. Really only got rid of LPs in fine nick I no longer played. So far no regrets!
I recognise the "should have bought". Missed out on a few because of waiting.
Last week I bought Next by SAHB and Caravans Plump in the Night. Great.
Good luck with coffee shop - brilliant idea.

One of my lecturers has blocked me on Twitter, and I'm due the results of an essay I submitted for their class imminently.
That's a bad sign, isn't it?
If the Tweet involved the lecturer's dark secret life and that their subject is rubbish I might check out other modules, just to be safe.

Does anyone have experience in selling rare-ish vinyl? Where's the best place to go to punt it? EBay seems like a risk.
I've sold a fair few rare albums on Ebay with no problems at all. Condition is key. Be honest when grading as collectors can be a bit miffed if a cover is graded Excellent but has a split seam or marks. Same with the vinyl itself. Spend a few quid on Vinyl cleaner - sprays on and wipe with a soft cloth. I always state that the LP will be posted in a cruciform box with a couple of inserts (buy them in bulk on Ebay). Take LP and sleeve out of cover, place behind cover and inserts for extra support. Tape round edges. Maybe offer PO Signed for service.
Check out Vinyl Tap. They have a section on how they grade vinyl. It's also a first class place to buy rare (and not so rare) LPs. They have a daily arrivals page. Great to look at even if not buying. Can also pop in your LPs to Search facility and get an idea of prices.

Des Clarke. Haven't met him, only heard him on radio. No reason for not liking him. Thought I might like him after his appearance on Still Game last night. Nope.

The late night train to Georgia from LA used to depart at 11.17pm until record company executives demanded it be changed to midnight to better suit the lyrics for a song being written for Gladys Knight.

For me Easton is a talented player, skillful and with a good grasp of tactics. Sure he is injury prone but when he is on form he is a pleasure to watch. No player will be exciting for 90 minutes and when Easton turns it on it can help turn the tide of a game.
If JW doesn't think Dylan is delivering then he'll not think twice about a change. For me, I'd have him in my team any day.

Does anyone remember a truly appalling band from the mid-80s attempting heavy rock called Glasgow? Absolute dugmeat.
Fairly sure I saw them play the Burns Bar in Falkirk. Bringing them back for a second gig was a bit optimistic. I don't remember them being total rubbish but the Burns Bar wasn't the right venue for heavy rock - too wee, low ceiling. I didn't return for the second gig. Actually just called a friend - agrees they were rubbish. Rab Noakes played a blinder of a set there.

Albuquerque City Council have once again had to deny rumours that they are putting up statues of the characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman of Breaking Bad. The Mayor said Albuquerque residents are more than happy with the life-size bronze sculptures of Wile E Coyote and The Roadrunner. He did however acknowledge that talks are at an advanced stage to commemorate Paddy McAloon for raising the profile of the City by mentioning it in his popular song, King of Rock & Roll.

With Irvine and Eckerslie, Weir shows why he can be Manager of the Month. Two excellent signings which will really firm up the defence. I wonder if this will allow Jamie Bain a more roving role to feed Easton and Baird?

I've just opened a bottle of Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve. A really smooth whisky - just a splash of water. Loads of vanilla. Best have another dram to make sure it is as good as the first glass.

The Peloton advert with that "3 2 1 saddle" really annoys me. It's just an exercise bike.

Johnny Marr regularly turns up to play his ukulele in a George Formby tribute at the Thursday open-mic night at The Unicorn Inn, Ambleside.

Aye, the better together argument has been shown up to be total garbage. Not sure about "uncoerced" when you look at the scare stories and unrelenting doom headlines Scotland was subject to. Still, I'm sure we are all better informed for the upcoming indyref2.

If Big Business or Trade Unions had any power this shite wouldn't even be being talked about.
If Scotland had the power of an independent country we could be laughing from the sidelines like the rest of Europe.

So much for the party of international solidarity. Now no different from the insular Tory party hell-bent on dragging us back to their idea of some Golden Age (that never existed). Labour will be remembered as a party of abstention clinging on to the coat-tails of a dying empire, hand in hand with the Tories. If remembered at all.

For Northern Soul tune in to Solar Radio (Sky 0129) on Sundays 8-10pm for Eddy Edmonson's " A Taste of Soul". Great sounds from classic Northern Soul tunes from 70s up to now. Excellent stuff.

Doesn't seem much point in becoming independent and stepping away from a union to have, well, a currency union with a union we're leaving.
