played FM quite regularly up until a few years ago, got the new one the other day. Started a save with Motherwell just to get my bearings. Found it almost impossible to bring in a striker. Wages being the main stumbling block, the 10k transfer pot too. anyone got any suggestions on cheap signings at the very start of the game?

To be honest , 3 or 4 guys that know the league well is probably what we need right now. I still wouldn't seeing another premier league academy punt or something. But Main, Halliday and Montgomery should all do a reasonable enough job. We know what we are getting from all 3, probably reasonably cheap, safe signings. Main and Biereth would be an absolute handful.
