Said it after the Livi game, this season reeks of last season Under Hammell. we started well, we got points on the board, we then had some hard luck stories, Dundee utd 0-0 last season, battering hearts and getting beat 3-0, and then we couldn't buy a win for about 5 months. it's a carbon copy. we have no plan B, our only width is 17 year old Luca Ross, so we can't change it up too much. The only change in shape we can facilitate is to fire in another striker.

It's very much a better the devil you know situation for me, and Kelly, at this level is pretty decent. The flip of that, is you get a Mark Birigihti and end up in the championship. That extra few quid would seem worth it then.

I completely agree with you here btw, Hickey was the first of the Scottish contingent (aside from Liam Henderson) to make the move, and according to tranfser market, he went the same summer as Turnbull went to Celtic. After the success of Hickey, any half decent youngster was linked with a move to Italy, Josh Campbell was even touted at one point. I don't recall Turnbull having any European suitors, could be wrong here btw. Italian teams seemed happy taking young Scottish players, is it possible Turnbull just missed out on that, I reckon Italy would be perfect for his style of play. Again, I could be wrong, the only two teams that put in sensible offers for him were Norwich and Celtic.
