  1. I think you might be getting excited, I would have expected 3 or 4 U20s, you have assumed a squad of 18 U20s. I have no idea how many U20s would get picked but just merely putting it out there they have back up options to fill the bench.
  2. They play their U20s that are signed and fulfil the fixture
  3. Pretty sure there is more to a Licence than a ground share.
  4. Why would they surely be contracted to Syngenta, contracts can be ended fairly easily.
  5. If there is work going on at LK to suggest that it will become SFA compliant then they will be staying in Camelon as I really cant see them giving up the Licence to move to LK unless Stevie is giving them the full place for free and the £££ out weigh losing the SFA Licence vs free digs.
  6. Potential issues with selling the ground as council owned and the allocation of the selling value wont nessesarily go to a new ground as its housing allocated money. I dont see this being valid
  7. It was announced that Bo'ness and Syngenta will have a partnership for a new U20s from Bo'ness Athletic but thats months away, sounds good but in reality it wont work, however I can only see the players moving with Andy Rodgers to Camelon U20s out of loyalty and he for all his faults is a half decent coach. For Syngenta to fold the U20s and fail to use them for the 1st team to at least put a team on the park is just another poor decision from the Committee. Nice play on words there "pennies"
  8. As reported the pending doom is going so much quicker than anticipated, they folded the U20s last week and left players out in the cold when easily could have finished the season, the 1st team will be out in the next couple of weeks you heard it here 1st. The Syngenta Exec Committee should all resign.
  9. Pretty sure the intial team was a 2000s team and it was Willie Irvine and Tam Bettie that were Manager/Assistant. As per Syngenta they wanted results over development and 100% sure they binned Willie Irvine and Tam and then Pennies came in at the last hour when both teams were pretty much going to fold. The rest is history as they say and Syngenta money man or not moved some waves in 3 years. SFA member Club, U20s and U18s...Wink wink, see what I did there Alan lol a just cant help myself.
  10. Old news just getting confirmed, Syngenta Executive Committee playing football manager was the problem, building something for 3 years then walking I can imagine being a hard thing to do and a Toy or not its something that he built I think all eyes should be on Syngenta Exec committee and heads roll as to why this has happened.
  11. Hearing the full U20s getting air lifted to Camelon U20s as well, great news for the lads in both u20s teams,Camelon over the years have shown how well they have Developed U20s into EOS and Lowland league.
  12. Sucked you in, have a free bag of popcorn LMAO, This will come out soon enough, Syngenta have a massive battle on their hands now. Bitterness, maybe what goes around comes around and all that. My position is I wish all the Syngenta management/players and staff all the best, the U20s players all the best as well, YES of course I have my popcorn out too and getting that little f**k you in there.
  13. Again this is just a short sighted way at looking at Development football, if you think 2005 players will step into a 1st team like Syngenta within 6 months then you again are telling us all how little you know about this level of Development. Not sure about a team being voted out, I do know that in a normal process the U19s,U18s,U17, and U16s will be assessed to see the standard and if there is any promising players ready to step up into an U20s environment. If Syngenta voted a team out and I assume your refering to an u19s team which was defunct age group in SYFA football this season and most likely have come to end of age shelf life, again if this U19s team never helped or promoted the players ready to step up and EXPECTED all to play at U20s then again your understanding of Development football at U20s level is non exsistant. It sounds more like you were involved in Syngenta U19s and dont understand that taking players or lifting a full team from U19s to U20s would only result in a huge turnover of players that arent at that level. As seen in the 1st season West of Scotland U20s this was the starting point for teams at U19s moving lock stock to U20s and the teams folding was in double figures. The proof is in the pudding as they say at Syngenta U20s as it is a very good team with very promising young players, it is also run by very experianced people, going into the committee side as thats why this thread is really here due to Syngenta Committee lack of experiance and understanding of whats needed at this level and by all accounts your experiance with the committee I will guess wasnt a good one either.
  14. This comment lets everyone know your lack of knowledge regarding Development football.
  15. Syngenta never had an U20s team, think the oldest was U19s and in all fairness were not even close to being at the standard needed for u20s.
  16. My only guess to that would be the original application from Syngenta to play EOS and it was rejected due to their lack of due dilegence on them playing out of Grangemouth Stadium. Their only option was to play out of LK then Dunipace in the now defunct east Junior league. So 100% the willingness to be an adult team from Syngenta was defo there before Pennies. I do think your right in part that the money side incentive to merge at the time was there as if memory serves me right the initial adult set up from Syngenta was going to be binned due to numerous failings. Based on how they previously operated I think thats the best option for them. If they have no power in how the adult team was run then the whole thing isnt structured properly.
  17. Hearing now from people in the know, Syngenta committe are not taking the 1st team forward and the U20s will fold as well, hearing big news coming from another local team who have secured many big investors which wink wink is all tied into the Syngenta money. The long standing youth committee havent got the experiance or knowledge to move into 1st team and run it. They struggled before at the Junior level before the Pennies/Merge with an amatuer team collapsed and the Pennies team moving across to the Junior level(Syngenta) and then progressed to EOS as the Juniors folded, call it vanity or just pushing to a higher level each time who knows. Syngenta wont move forward as the youth committee is a one man band with most members not knowing what is actually going on.
  18. Hearing some extremly crazy noise surrounding Syngenta FC and their future, possible implosion regarding them folding their 1st team and that means they lose the U20s as well. All sponsors leaving and players not re-signing contracts. What I heard was the main man himself is calling it a day, not surprised as very little support going his way from Syngenta Committee. Again I havent heard this from a direct source but the sources are very reliable. For some youth big shots on the Syngenta committee they are way out their depth and the dark clouds are now hanging over their bad decision making.
  19. I think but cannot speak for Bravehearts dad but the comment was made at the end of last season when JH had a worse record than the previous Manager with an improved squad that JH brought in, in all fairness to Camelon for keeping JH on and giving him time to prepare when his record it would have been easy to dump him. The inherited squad was quickly attempted to be strengthened albeit at a time of the season not many players were on transfer/free but nonetheless the decision was made to sign these players which brought JH zero results over and above his predecessor. The crux of the story is he done worse than what was there but kept his job. I do wish Camelon team all the best for the coming season and hope to see them restore the good times on the park.
