Wonder if Letham were told that they would be playing in a “West Lothian league” and decided to leave it until the linear structure was properly formed?
There still doesn’t seem to be any news on why they aren’t involved this season, only rumours surrounding their ground

I was quite pleased for the friends we've made at the Bankies until that last bit.
The gas chamber ?
Really ?
After that comment I hope Pollok kick you black & fucking blue 'cos you've just lost all goodwill with that.
My last word on the matter. P***k.
Oh piss off you know what it meant... stop trying to spin it

Darren McCormack.....I had a quick check on Google and a peek at Wikipedia. All I can say is let's hope he is a reformed character.
Jamboness may struggle to give the ex-Hibee his normal hearty support.
Offt there’s flashback!
Really hope he does well, actually not a bad lad... just erm, a little misguided!
Had the potential to go all the way so I hope he can do a job for you. Although I said that when he moved up to Ross County and, well...

Or go all in and offer the ugliest one a ride. Watch as they shit their pants at thought this might have worked.
It must be an Inverness thing because my missus just said EXACTLY the same thing!

You could imagine the shock on the lads face when I turned round and said it wouldn't be me doing the taking...And this is just class

There was a rumour going round years ago that the Brora players chucked the second game against Montrose in 2015 because none of the players wanted the hassle of dealing with national travel.
It's not a sentiment unique to them if it's true. Therefore, regionalising the leagues above seems more likely than nationalising the leagues below, because there's no way the better teams in the HL would want a national league. There's no advantage to them.
Yeah, you don’t have to remind me of the Brora situation! Although it wasn’t really anything to do with the (majority of) players. It seems a different set up now though
I thought regionalisation at these leagues was a good idea, until you get into the details and realise it’s a none starter... Stirling Albion in a North league while the others around them play the majority of their games locally for example.
As for the better teams in the HL, there isn’t any left since ICT, County, Peterhead, Elgin and Cove all left so chances are they’ll not beat the LL representative once that league has settled with the better South teams if it came to it anyway.

Would have thought the trend would be for regionalisation of L1 and L2 tbh.

Regardless, it's still an utterly shite idea
Exactly! It still won’t stop him constantly droning on and trying to justify it though

How else will the HL/LL get a chance for two automatic promotion places in total to SPFL2? It would remove the excuse that the HL and LL don't have enough strength in depth for clubs relegated from SPFL2.
What FWF said.
Also the pyramid is still in its infancy. Tbh I’m surprised at how quickly things are moving, as much as the SPFL and SFA try to stall it.
Once everyone starts to find their level, the LL and HL will naturally become stronger and have a bigger voice. By then though I imagine the current top 4 tiers will have expanded slightly and their won’t be an appetite from the teams left at tier 5 to play nationally

So basically creating a Division 5 (League 3) instead of working on the current 4 tier setup?
No, absolutely no point
Next....

Looking for any excuse they can find. Kelty AND Brora deserve their chance, not for this season but they’ve consistently proved in the last TWO part-seasons that they are worthy of a shot at the playoff. The number of games played this season is irrelevant

Aviemore is an odd place population-wise, massive number of second homes and holiday homes. There'd be the ground issue as well, I'd imagine a lot of call offs with weather in winter (when everyone's skiing anyway). There's an astro park behind the GP surgery next to the new school, but it's just a generic 3G cage. I think the welfare teams used to play in Carrbridge though.
Yeah it’s a strange place indeed, I love it!I think the majority of local boys who want to play semi-serious amateur league football play for Tomatin in the Inverness summer league. The rest play shinty for one of the big 2 further south

Is there ever any chance of one of the Aviemore teams join the NCL? You'd imagine they'd have the population to sustain a side.
Nobody lives in Aviemore for 9 month the of the year, they barely have an amateur team.
As Cyclizine said too, Strathspey Thistle and Cromdale/Spey Valley United more than cater for that area already

Kennoway’s pitch is mental, would fancy myself with a half volley from my just inside own half going down that hill

EoS looking likely to need an additional Conference or new Division.
See Greenlaw of the Border Amateur League are currently very active on Facebook announcing management team changes and player retentions and new players for next season. Quite a few are quoted as having EoS experience. They're using terms like "new contract" and " contract extension" but would amateurs need contracts?
Google Streetview and Bing Maps ariel show the ground is enclosed by trees and boasts what looks like a new club-house. No rails showing around the pitch though. Training lights just identifiable.
Greenlaw’s ground wouldn’t need much to pass, but I doubt they will be looking at anything other than winning the Border Amateur. There’s a public walk that goes round the far parameter but the park is quite enclosed already and only one way in/out

What’s the recent news coming from Bathgate?
52 minutes ago, Quotation Marks said:Do tell...
It was discussed somewhere on here a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know if anything has changed but Chairman wants out and no one willing to come forward to take over the club. A town the size of Bathgate, Scottish cup winners not that long ago but no one seems to care... I’m not speculating as to why as it has got me in trouble from the man before

Avoch have always dodged it. Muir of Ord were NCL champions when I was up there, they had a great team. Contin have the park and the history but never seem to have the squad. Watch out for Maryburgh though, if they still have the momentum they had a few years ago, they had the backing and ambition.
Gutted not to see Merkinch on that list
