Can’t back this up with statistics but since Gibson left and McKay came in we seem to have gone downhill so is he not as culpable as Price? You could be right about the end of the season though.

I agree, i believe he is as cupable as Price and i would imagine he probably has similar ideas. It seems to be the way we do it. Manager steps down and the assistant gets the job. Not sure how healthy that is too be honest. Sometimes the players need a new voice. That is 7 years Price has been at Elgin.

Where are you planning getting a new manager at this time of the season and where are we getting better quality players? I agree the team lacks quality but it’s more or less the same team who made play offs last season and who were on a fine run in January resulting in Price getting the manager of the month. It’s a league of fine margins. I personally think Price has enough credit in the bank but either way now is not the time for change.

I would imagine the team of Sid Mackay and Alex Bone are already been lined up to replace Price anyway. On the manager of the month i feel that Darryls 2 late goals put a slightly positive spin on poor performances. Albeit the Kelty game was a great performance. It is the constant changing of players positions that is very frustrating with Price. But i do agree with you he does probably have enough in the bank having slept on it.

  3. Aye definitely, the club has used social media far more effectively in recent times too. The days of finding out about signings when the stadium announcer reads their name out are hopefully gone.
Agreed. I think somebody must have let the club know that the previous coverage wasn't up too scratch. It has certainly changed for the better massively over the past 6 months.
  4. Great to see that the Council has approved the Elgin Sports Community Trust proposal for Lower Borough Briggs. Will be a massive benefit to the local community, & a step-change opportunity for the club. Well done to the ESCT team for making this happen.
Brilliant news for Elgin City and the whole community. Was held up for far too long by the council but the team did brilliantly to get it over the line.
  5. I think this might just be the 1st batch of contracts running out. I seen somewhere that for some reason most contracts for players in scotland either run out on June 1st or June 30th. So we could well see the rest of the out of contract boys appearing on that available list at the end of the month.

  6. I see that Rabin Omar and Andy Macdonald appear on the SPFA site for out of contract players looking for clubs.
I'm seeing the Northern Scot are reporting that now aswell. On top of losing Shane this just hits home how hard it is going to be when football resumes. They won't be the last either.
  7. Was interesting to listen to Tatters speaking on the radio at the weekend.
Can't really see the 14-14-14 proposal getting much backing in the higher leagues. I really don't see how any of the lower league teams are going to be able to sign any players at all if there is no one going to be allowed in through the gates, no income at all. Maybe the players will need to sign amateur forms and just take the hit and play for nothing for a few months until the vaccine allows proper crowds to come back.
  8. Nothing in the statement to say that is the case, sensible though that option might be. It would be daft to try and predict the outcome of the reconstruction discussions given the farcical circumstances of the last week or so.
I think the board of the reconstruction committee being led by Anne Budge tells us all what exactly is going to happen. There will be no relegation.
