  1. Watching Soccer AM now is like watching my childhood be defecated on. The day it finally died was the day they got rid of Helen Chamberlain.
  2. Stupid post considering we have two clubs in latter stages of Europe and look like we'll be back to 2 Champions League places next season. Scotland's history/geography/fanatsism about football mean that this system works. It's not perfect but it certainly works.
  3. I've been binging on Killjoys on Amazon Prime, I watched the first series on Syfy when it came out and its absolutely class, very much of a Firefly vibe. Nearing the end of season 4, have one more to go and its been brewing to a big cresendo.
  4. Only time I can think of is when they beat us in the Cup last season? Shanfest 1-0 win for United, please then we'll be 21 clear and have the title won. That would be nice.
  5. Shocking to see the state of Diego Maradona these days.
  6. Okay here me out here for a second, Scotland benefits quite well in this because we a) have smaller league and b) regionalise very low down in our pyramid. For example 42 clubs play in Two Leagues in Portugal, but play in four in Scotland. England are the only country that could probably be regarded as better than Scotland and even then Kelty Hearts gave a very good account of themselves against Solihull Moors this season (both were top of Tier 5 at the time) The German sixth tier is down at the state or Laender level: It is the top level of the state leagues before promotion to the Oberligas. The current Tier 6 leaders in Berlin are Sparta Lichtenberg and play there games in what looks like a local council 3G https://www.sv-sparta.de/video/freistoss_johannisthal.mp4 Website here: http://www.sv-sparta.de/ The French sixth tier is down at the Province level and very little info can be found. One random team I found at that level was US Montagnarde of the Breton league. Looks like they get under 100 to there games In Spain there are 620 teams at tier 5, so the level at Tier 6 is going to be worse than Scotland. In Italy there are 866 teams in the 6th Tier, playing below a 5th tier of 464. I could go on.
  7. Should mention that if/when this WoS get off the ground, Scotland will probably have the strongest 6th Tier in World football.
  8. Tbf saying to a sponsor "We Play in the 6th Tier of Scottish Football and play in the Scottish Cup every season" is far more appealing that "We are a junior team, but you see that's just in reference to the level of football not the age of the players, but wez are bigger than senior teams I promise."
  9. Imola would be class. If we call the team formerly known as Toro Rosso, Minardi then we can go back and have mid-2000s nostalgiagasm. That last point is completely true fwiw am I f**k calling it Alfa Tauri. Sounds shite. Call them Toro Rosso or Minardi or GTF.
  10. Well, I'm just focusing on the Winter Saturday Leagues at the minute, but in the Netherlands (and others) they have the Sunday Amatuer leagues as part of their system. But those three Ams leagues look like they could easily bolt on below the EoS, which itself will have an eventual carrying capacity of probably 64-70 clubs. Obviously there are issues to work out.
  11. I was implying that those leagues would either drop the Amateur status or leave the SAFA. Sorry, I would like to see pyramid the whole way down and disregard any different grades.
  12. I'm skipping several steps, but if the LEAFA, Fife and Border Ams Leagues could at some point join the pyramid, with some form of optional promotion/relegation that we see in the lower rungs of the English pyramid. Or even make the EoS more attractive to the more ambitious clubs such as Duns, AM Soccer etc.
  13. This, but conference in 2020-21, before regionalise the season after (if more than 8 applicants). Like I've said before regionalisation allows a better pathway to bolt on the three Ams leagues underneath the EoS
  14. It's not as cheap is that, plus the Bundesliga receives €1.2bn per season in Domestic TV rights, and the Westfalenstadion holds 82,000. Supply and demand.
  15. If only United were charging £10 per game then we could have got 14,000 to our game against Arbroath and we could have put in a £1m bid for Kevin Nisbet. Ah shucks.
  16. £18 to watch Dobbie, £22 to watch Shankland. Fantastic value imho.
  17. Thought Cove were on balance the better side, although City were dangerous with their chances. Was quite impressed with Scully and Watson(?) throughout. It's really annoying without player names on the kits. Should be mandatory throughout the SPFL.
  18. I paid £6 (am a student so was £12 normally) to watch Cove vs Edinburgh City yesterday, which is probably of the same standard as the English NL, based off Kelty vs Solihull this season. Despite the shocking weather and being soaked through, it was good value for money. Scottish fans need to stop moaning about Value for Money in L1 and L2.
  19. I was at Cove vs Edinburgh City yesterday and there was no segregation. Think clubs have to show the ability that they can safely segregate.
  20. Wanting to go to this, but it's awful outside, can see the game being abandoned.
