Yeah, that's correct. I don't know if he could change teams again in January. -

Just listened to the podcast, great as ever guys! Robbie Muirhead, Anton Dowds & Jack Hamilton all mentioned as possible loanees. To be honest we'd need all three. We were at our best under Darren when we had the option of changing the front 2 during the game, those 3 alongside Smith, might give us hope. Let's hope for a few rabbits out of the loan hat over the next couple of days, or we're doomed. -

Not expecting any sort of result for us today, it's not been a happy hunting ground for us at the best of times. But, c'mon boys, at least lets see a reaction, show us there's still hope. -
Summer 2021 Transfer Thread

Probably wise to just be signing Adeyemo until the end of the year & not on one of your 3 year deals! Thought he must be good when he came to Bayview on loan from Dundee Utd, but as bad as I've seen. Then more surprisingly ended up at Watford after us. The fact he's not stayed anywhere for any length of time suggests to me, either his attitude is poor, or he has a great agent. Either-way I can't see this working out. -

Can only be a good thing for the team's confidence if nothing else. Really enjoyed the 3-0 game, I'm hopeful things are looking up! -

Colin Methven, about a decade before my time. Surprised they never voted for someone more recent all the same, given that thier more recent history being thier most successful. -
1st time at Broadwood.
Life on Marrs? replied to W whitters.'s topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Remember my first visit to Broadwood anyway, 1995/96 season 2-0 down with around 10 mins remaining, Paul Chalmers scored twice to give us the point we needed to secure promotion to the old first division. First time I'd seen us promoted. -

We appear to have gone for a quantity, over quality approach in the transfer market. Whether that's down to being priced out, budget constraints, leaving things too late, or a new managerial strategy who knows. -

It will be, you just have to bring your own brown sauce. -

Always was going to be a struggle htis season. Hoping with the manager signing a 2 year deal, this season is going to be a bit of a transition, with a focus on the longer term. What we've got now is a squad though, with options. Whether or not it'll be good enough, only time will tell. -
East Fife v The Mo

Is the e-ticket only system just while things are returning to normal? Can't be the only one who thinks not having a pay-at-the-gate option will put a lot of fans off. -

Pleased with that. Hopefully a defender & 2 forwards next. Squad slowly starting to taking shape. -
Best kit in the league
Life on Marrs? replied to BlackandGauld's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
It was, I want to place on record I voted for another option. As I said at the time though, it's difficult to change too much if you wear stripes or hoops without it being radical & it seems popular amongst our support. Thought both Airdrie & Clyde's were better last season, but they'll probably grow on me. Montrose's is probably the best, would like to see it in the flesh but they'll probably not wear it at Bayview. -

Might not be solely down to what we can pay. Banbury is located halfway between London & Birmingham. Might depend on where the guy lives. Anyway, good luck to the guy, he's no coming to us. -
The Fife v The Queens

Glad to see Watt stepping up with a goal. With Agnew away & Swanson injured, it's time he took his chance & gets a run in the team. Hopefully we'll see more from him, he's been here long enough! I thought he had his best games for us a couple of years back when Agnew was out with his shoulder injury. Also, I wasn't too confident with our choice of keeper, but to be fair he looked steady enough yesterday. A welcome point. -

That's us got a keeper in, just need 2 forwards, a creative midfielder, & a no-nonsense defender. I'm slightly more optimistic, than I was last week. C'mon the Fife. -
The League One 21/22 Sack Race
Life on Marrs? replied to GNU_Linux's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
We gave him a 2 year contract at the end of last season, so probably cant afford to sack him. -
Going by the squads put together so far, & I know a lot can change over the next few weeks; 1. Cove, on paper, squad looks the best 2. Falkirk, don't look as strong but a play off place is an improvement on last season 3. Airdrie, Play off finalists last year, seem to have ripped it up and started again 4. Peterhead, could be the surprise team this year & derbies with Cove cold be spicy 5. Alloa, hard to judge how a team will cope after just coming down. They'll either be up fighting for the title, or with Barry Ferguson in charge be mid-table, strange time to leave Kelty & a strange appointment at Alloa 6.Queens Park, think they'll need a season or 2 to consolidate before moving forward 7. Montrose, punched above their weight the last couple of seasons, be hard to do it again. Good manager though 8. Dumbarton, again a good defence, should keep them safe from trouble, nothing more though 9/10 Clyde & East Fife. A lot will rest on Goodwillie's goal scoring & if we don't bring in 4 or 5 quality players in the next few days it'll be a long season I look forward to be proved wrong.

I'll never know why anyone with money to throw at a football club, doesn't try to invest it in an already established league club with a fan base -

So, in that case are those clubs being run as a 'crash & burn' Gretna style, or do they think that they can pay unsustainable wages int he short term in the hope they can reach a level where it becomes sustainable?
