  1. Of course they don’t like DC style of play, he makes a complete arse of it time and time again. Not playing folks, playing them in the wrong positions, this is on top of the most bizarre tactics that don’t work, by passing the midfield with endless balls up top. Mason Hancock, a Centre Half, was put out left wing in his first game Josh Campbell ( left to rot on the bench ) A manager will want the loanee to get game time and experience, not driving up to Arbroath on game day to sit on a bench, we as well sat on a bench in the SPL than sat there. No one in their right mind would send anyone with any potential to Arbroath to improve their experience or game time the way we have played over the last 18 months.
  2. And if your auntie had baws she would be your uncle
  3. aye coz 3 wins makes everything ok LOL Great few results and we want the momentum to keep going, but you must be awfy stupid if you think a couple of wins gets him off the hook
  4. The problem is, were taking folks who have been released "AT THAT LEVEL " And expecting big things up at " our level " Taking someone who wasnt good enough in tier 5 of England ( maybe would be good in tier 6 or 7 at best in England ) and we expect them to perform well in our second tier. The jokes on us, no wonder these guys come up and ride us like sea buscuit , geez yer dough
  5. Maybe the fact we got 6 wins out of 36 games last season 29 goals all season ( least goals in the league ) Defence by passing the midfield with hopeless balls forward, completely bypassing any midfielder, resulting in maybe one of the more creative players in our squad not working out. But yeah hes a passenger, its much better to have 11 jobbers running about looking the part and winning 6 games all season. " you cannot have a passenger at this level " Listen to the elitist talking like we are at some superior level or have any authority over any other team in the league, we are the whipping boys and im pretty sure any semi decent creative player would run a mile knowing what they are walking into, maybe thats why we find it hard to attract bodies.
  6. So we an all argue back and forth about this and that Since Jan 2022 56 League Games, 12 wins So whether a his overall win ratio is good or bad in your opinion 56 league games and 12 wins, there can be absolute no doubt as to why fans are on his case. The signings such as Neymars Stunt double, The manager in the local press saying hes asking Nouble if he has any mates who want a game, constant trialists from Concord Rangers. If you was to tell a stranger down the pub that your local team was doing all of this stuff, all whilst your manager publicly states that the fans get on his tits, whilst singing for a player to come on, you would be called a f**k@n liar.
  7. I wasnt, but you as someone who maybe has more insights into the club than most. You will know training is a shambles, tactics are a shambles, signings are a shambles Someone like Bobby Linn sitting on a bench, isnt going to spark positivity around the dressing room, others get pissed too when not played for whatever reason. Manager states in an interview that fans singing for Bobby Linn to come on gets on his tits, i mean how can anyone really like the methods of team spirt this guy gives off. And this is the stuff we see, what else goes on in the background, god only knows, but we cannot be serious when we say this guy needs more time. Thats the biggest joke
  8. Ok, Fluke may be the wrong word Our most successful manager ever, he may very well be, it aint a huge barrier to entry if a 39% win rate is all it takes. Teams have to progress, the club has evolved in the background, has the management evolved and climbed the ladder with the rest of the club, IMO id say no. DC isnt someone i rate highly for sure. By the same way i dont see how Nouble scoring 4 goals in 25 games gave him hero status. Jack Hamilton scoring 8 in 17 didnt get the same plaudits. Its all about opinions, but your not telling me DC's wild decisions in the last 2 years, are not a big part of why we have went backwards as a club on the pitch. Every person on this forum will have differing opinions on players etc, whos the best and all of that. One common theme though, is that people are not being played, played out of position and we are taking a fucking pumping week on week, whether i like him or not theres only so long someone can have the hotseat for.
  9. Couldnt agree more People quick to shoot Allan down, how can anyone be left to rot on a bench, ( we have no reserve team ) just the 15 bounce games against St Johnstone on a Monday night to get someone match fit. And then for some bizzare reason when he does get a game, and doesnt perform in that one game, hes finished, hes done etc Mis-management if ive ever saw it. Same with Linn, Gold, and so many other players who are utilised very sparingly at best but expected to just magically perform after like 6-7 weeks with no minutes at certain times. This is not about loosing the first 2 games of the season, this crap has been going on for a long time, poor signings, poor tactics, poor management of the squad, and if anyone is aware, the training leaves a lot to be desired too. You ask why Slater cant beat the first man with a corner, id look at how often set pieces are practised at training, infact id ask what was actually being done at training full stop. This 70's style of management, using 12 players and leaving the rest to rot, hoping the players ability alone pulls them through isnt working at all. Your not telling me, Allan, Linn, and anyone else who has not been utilised properly can possibly be at fault, its weird how our creative players are often the ones who suffer. Is it really the players, or how they are being used thats the problem. We have never been known for attacking flair, scoring lots of goals, dominating teams, and its because DC will not change, Arbroath have money in the bank, on paper a reasonable squad This man took us to the championship by fluke, things went his way in order for us to go up. This man fucked it up tactically in the second half of 2022 and blew our chance of promotion, it wasnt that Killie deserved it, we fucked it right up in the end. Whilst i agree its mad to sack a manager 2 games into a season, how much credit does DC have in the bank, hes not known as a master tactician, he hasnt actually won too much in his years as a manager. Hes been binned my most clubs hes been at. His win rate with Arbroath is 39% nearly as bad as any other stint hes had at any club, yet hes somehow got all this time.
  10. We know your a fan of the management, i remember your "humble pie" comment after our 1 win at Dundee But is the management really frustrated, are they really doing all the can? It could be that the management are that poor that players do not want to come here, and be played out of position, taking a beating week in week out, being left on a bench Your not telling me Scott Allan is a bad player, he doesnt fit in with the DC way of playing thats for sure. Mason Hancock was a CB/LB who was fucking played on the left wing Scott Stewart is a Right Winger playing at Left Back Dale Hilson, a 5ft 6 guy, playing long balls up to the poor b*****d, who had little or no chance against 4 defenders. Bobby Linn, left to rot on a bench, when he was by far our most creative player. Players dont get a chance in their right position, they dont get a chance to settle in a team, you dont perform in 1 or 2 games and your bombed out. I can see why players might not want to work under this management, maybe thats why things are not as easy as it is. As every other team in the country is able to sign left backs when they want, we are the only ones who cannot fill a slot in a team. Geez some of that Humble pie
  11. You surely cant refer to one players lack of game time as a reason someone shouldn't be going to a specific club. If we flipped that, look at Scott Allans lack of game time, does that mean another player shouldn't come to Arbroath? As much as i like the prospect of a left back coming in, we cant say were a better fit over another club based on Anton Dowds not getting a game.
  12. Easier for someone to play better, when the balls not being hoofed up the park with your back to 4 defenders, with no-one supporting you. Credit to the big man for getting a goal Josh Campbell barely got a look in whilst on loan, the hit and hope worked well for big Nouble, and Jack Hamilton but the reality is that horrific style of play is more the reason players dont perform here. Long balls from the back, bypassing the midfield, totally discounting any wide players is just bad management.
  13. Any of that humble pie still going? DC is the manager and ultimately to blame for picking these players as part of his squad
  14. Best watch what you say, the usual crowd will get all triggered by suggesting that It was a real stinger, i reckon P&B should award me with the best line of the season, that was so funny but so true it was a classic. You think we will get a few raj's from Uxbridge ?
  15. Balance of probabilities that he was in her house, had sex with her yes We all know it was a stitch up poor guys life in ruins all because someone cant remember if they said yes or no.
  16. 100% this Yes we will miss out on folks who want to remain full time and climb the ladder, the same way Kevin Nisbet, Shankland etc have in recent years. But we are able to command the best part time players, who want to play at the highest level possible, id make the assumption someone like TOB if he wanted to be " full time " could go to an Airdrie and get £300 per week but train full time. He likely gets more playing part time a level up, whilst having the career path through his full time work. Even going to a Raith for example to play full time, financially are they going to pay him much more playing full time as opposed to playing part time? So we win some aspiring guys who want to go further But we do have that unique proposition of a decent wage, part time playing in the championship
  17. We achieved what we set out to do? hanging on for dear life, after coming second last season. Lets not forget, being part time has some benefits, we get the best pick of part time players, who want to play at the highest level possible. TOB and others with decent jobs wouldnt be here if we were full time. We have a decent sized budget to go and get players like Scott Allan. So there is budget at his disposal. Poor signings, poor tactics all lie at DC's doorstep, cutting him some slack, got f**ksakes he nearly took us down. An no more of that Noubles mates at preseason
  18. Im scared to say it, but maybe were tapping up some more of Noubles mates from the Isthmian leagues. Rumour has it that Wingate and Finchley are not renewing the contracts of a few lads.
  19. The poster/roaster who clearly got it all right, is still here. Did i really get to you, telling you there was dressing room unrest, and it appears to have been true I havent went quiet at all, ive posted about 15 times in my life. All i ever stated was that the signings at the start of the season (. Noubles mates ) were not good enough, most have since left. 4-5 folks who had signed new deals for this season, would ask to be released ( that happened ) And that the dressing room unrest was there, which has been evident given the shocking performances ( this happened ) Truth hurts eh If that makes me a roaster/poster, while you sit their with your funny old haircut, and high cholesterol wondering why our team has turned to shit, and are boasting now that we have clawed our way to 8th, id suggest you take a look in the mirror
  20. Our gaffer does not like anyone with any creative skills it seems. Anyone who has any kind of attacking threat or creativity seems to get played out of position or benched. Linn never gets a start and is our most prominent threat. Scott Allan, probably has some kind of fitness issues, but if hes fit enough to be on a bench then he must be fit enough to be brought on. T
  21. 100% the worst bunch ive ever saw too. After all the insults, abuse and whatever at their own players, you look at them and you think ..... ack nah im no saying it. But genuinely the worst of the worst, and if you want a bit of fun ( dont ask me how i know about this ) but Google " Catman Greenock " it says it all.
  22. i want on your 666 page aswell ya bunch of brokies You would win the league if your manager wasnt a mug
  23. Could be argued that with his favourite players we were never sat bottom of the league Sure there is a fall guy, and id argue that Hilson and Donnelly were those guys last season, just like you have mentioned ( in excluding Linn as hes still here ) Hester and Whatley have been made to be those guys in previous seasons. Either way we were not sat at bottom of the table with the fall guys, favourite players.
  24. maybe, haha maybe someone else with a similar name who gives Hilson a constant hard time, for no real reason. Apologies if that isnt you man
  25. The way we play, its going to be difficult for any striker to get goals, hoof it up and hope for the best, i thought after cocking it up in the second half of last season, with the same shit tactics, and repeatedly this season that maybe you would see that its potentially not the players that are at fault. Its mainly players dont fit into this shit type of tactic that clearly doesnt work, thats taking us down.
