Why would clubs want to take out a loan when they don’t actually know how much money they will receive in prize money yet? They could easily end up receiving less than they borrowed.

It’s already been discussed by them. According to early reports, the vote looks like 50% and not 75% so they will need something else.

Promotion based on current standings is correct, but if you expect 75% of teams to vote for it, allowing 1 up with no playoffs is a hard sell. Why not allow the top 4 up with no relegation from the league above? You’d get 75% with that.

There’s no way 75% of clubs will accept that proposal. Sadly.

Agreed. There’s no way this season will be completed. Not without severely impacting on next season, which just creates a domino effect. Call this season off now and use the next week or two to decide how best to resolve the obvious issues.

Let’s hope so. It’s the fairest way to proceed without pissing folk off with relegation.

What????? Are you suggesting we all dress in funeral attire for the next few months? Personally I think we need a wee laugh at times like this.

Agreed on the fans of other clubs that have shown support for us during this difficult time. I for one won’t forget it and will look at these clubs in a different light going forward.

I think Lewis Allan’s wage is the least of the clubs concerns just now. I also hope when you grow up and get a job, you’d don’t ever get ill.

The players fund is ring fenced for new players is it not? Better off phoning the club and making a donation, or setting up an online donations page.

Two games a week doesn’t help part time players either

The last tine this happened was at the outbreak of WW2. The league was cancelled with no promotion or relegation. It’s the only outcome realistically possible if all fixtures can’t be fulfilled.

The problem with allowing season ticket holders in, is that the club already has their money. It wouldn’t be popular but the clubs almost need to be charging whatever 500 people they allow in.

Probably thin air. At Starks Park, with our average gate, you could easily position people to sit with three or four seats empty to either side of you and never come into contact with anyone. Why we would need to ‘cancel’ is ludicrous.

I think they would just make this season void.

I think all of the teams in our league fall into that bracket.

Agree about Bowie. I’d add Hendry to the list of players that need rested too. I don’t think Baird can play on the side of a front three though. I assume he’s wanting to play two quick players up alongside Maclean.

I don’t know why people are suggesting that we should have upped the tempo and scored more goals. We came away with no injuries or silly bookings, we will be fresh for next week. That’s called professional game management.

I’ll either be raging or very happy about that come next week!

Had to google him. Absolutely fantastic spot!

Having watched the highlight back, it’s clear that there was no foul by Miller. He’s clever enough to know that he’s bigger and stronger than Davo and Munro and he just positioned himself in front of them and stood his ground, knowing that if they pushed him, it would have been a penalty. What we should have done was have someone like Maclean in front of him to try and clear it. Munro doesn’t exactly cover himself in glory but he’s got two players blocking him so he couldn’t get to it.
