The issue was with the clause he had, allowing him to discuss terms with another team if we didn’t go up. Seemingly it wasn’t a straight forward ‘he can leave if we don’t get promoted’

Let’s not forget, the club are still paying Bowie an apprentice contract (£100 p/w??) this season and next year. It won’t be until year three that his new deal kicks in. If they wanted to keep him, why not pay him decent money now instead of signing Kenny Miller?

Look at what happened to Lewis Vaughan. Footballers careers can turn in an in instant. He would be right to take a good offer if it came his way.

I’m pretty sure Kenny Miller will have enough money in the bank at this stage of his career that he can afford to lose a few quid so he can continue to play most weeks.

Miller will be offered whatever we can afford and it’ll be up to him to take it or leave it. I doubt very much he can make any demands at his age

How do we line up if we do sign Kenny? I’m pretty sure, at his age, he will only be going somewhere where’s he’s had a guarantee of a game. Assuming then that he will be first choice, who do we leave out? I can’t see it working with him and Baird up top but seems a bit of a shame to bomb out Bairdy who’s just starting to come onto a game.

Good post Calderon. My thoughts exactly. I’d also add he’s scored 10 goals, more than stone in a Raith shirt has, for a struggling team in a higher league than us.

I’d be shocked, and annoyed if we don’t have someone in before tomorrow’s game. We can’t go loaning out a first team player in our current situation without having someone in.
