Do any Rovers fans get any excitement from a game against EF yet? For me, it’ll never be a derby. Would love to hate them like I do the Pars but it’s just not the same.

OK, but unlucky can only get you so far. Player conditioning? Nobody gets this unlucky for 3 years. It's absurd and needs questioned.
To be fair, we seem to sign a lot of players who have had bad injury issues in the past then act surprised and hard done by when they flair up again.3 -
I heard it happened at training on Thursday night

Raith fans saying we’re a decent bunch and Broadwood was decent to visit? I’m confused... No one ever says these things
I’d agree. Lovely ground and only an hour away. The only pish thing was the turnstile fiasco. Having to queue for a ticket, presumably to keep the queue down at the turnstiles but they let you pay with card going thru the turnstiles which actually creates a queue with the amount of time it takes to approve.0 -
Well that was a game of two halves! First half we were completely dominant and played some great stuff. Second half, Clyde came at us like a steam train from the kick off and we shat the bed.
You can say what you like about Goodwillie but what a player he is. We couldn’t handle him at all. Some of the stuff shouted at him was ridiculous and I can only assume it motivates him!4 -
I found it hilarious, yes. But your post suggested that the article was good for Danny Lennon (he has a "pure passion for life" apparently) when in fact it makes him look like a raving lunatic.
Yeah I suppose it did. I’d say it makes him look eccentric and a ‘character’ which i think our game needs. Folk like him, Dick Campbell etc are a dying breed and although not everyone’s cup of tea, I prefer that to the usual mundane interviews that we are used to.
Can I also add that I don’t condone putting kids on desert islands!0 -
Good article?
You've got to be shitting me, John.
Come on now, you can’t say it wasn’t an entertaining read?0 -
I was at that game v Clyde at Broadwood when Carcary scored the hat trick.
I remember him scoring one in a 0-3 win for us there when Colin Hendry was their manager. What a player he was on his day. Another player who’s career was cut short through injury.
I can see us going 4231 this week with Bowie, Gullan and Armstrong behind Allan. If Mcglynn had any intention of playing McKay in a back three, he would have tested it against Glenavon first I suspect.0 -
Good article on Danny Lennon on the BBC website today. Someone I always hoped would get the Raith job when it’s become available in the past. Seems to have a pure passion for life and football!

It's along the corridor on the same side as the board room, I have no idea who uses it.
Opposite side of the corridor from the boardroom. Beside the tea room, it faces the stairs that take you up to the directors box.1 -
Changing the subject slightly, will there be half-season tickets sold this year? I’ve found myself going to more home games than I anticipated and would like to give the club a bit of money for January.
Usually mid December I think.0 -
Not sending off Tidser for that is an absolutely ridiculous decision. The useless clogger could quite easily have ended Reagan's season with that assault. Decision has probably cost us 3 points in title race too.
I disagree. Yes it was a clear red but after that tackle, we started to play with real fire in the belly. I actually think it spurred us on.0 -
It's an old taunt about the relative popularity of football vs imported Can-Am sports in Kirkcaldy. It actually has f**k all to do with the relative sizes of the different Fife football clubs.
Absolute nonsense0 -
oh aye, just seen marvin andrews leave starks park
This might be funny0 -
A few folk questioning his attitude etc. Yes his form dipped in his last few games but I don’t think for a second that Mcglynn would have gone back in for him if he believed his attitude was wrong.

And for the Raith fans saying we set out to do Vaughan, short memories, was it Benedictus or Davidson that got injured trying to do in Mikey McKenna?
Big bad Arbroath though.. [emoji23]
Hardly comparable. Benedictus tried to chop down a player that was through on goal if he got past him. Ended up injuring himself more as a result.4 -
He got MOTM for us on his debut too. I’m pretty sure both would have been awarded more for his ‘cult hero’ looks and physique rather than his ability. As an aside, James Berry played and was sent off for the team Kelty were playing.

I wonder what formation we will play now that Vaughan will be our for the foreseeable? We had changed to a front two with one in behind but I don’t think Gullan is overly effective in the hole. I wonder if it’ll be Allan in the middle with Anderson and Bowie on the wings.

Yesterday was such an important win for us but yet it feels like a defeat after what happened to Lewis.

Mcglynn’s interview doesn’t suggest it’s a dislocation

Tony Dingwall came out and told the guys in the stand it was his ACL... was relayed by the commentators on Raith Tv. Let’s hope this dislocated knee thing is correct!

100% agreed. I mean he was class like, but says volumes about a boy when the attitude changes. For example when Craigen had pre signed for Falkirk, if anything he upped his game. Christ what a player, still bizarre to me that fans didn’t take to him.
James Craigen would have been appreciated and utilised more in the current team I think. Bags of technical ability and one of the most two footed players I’ve even seen. Used to take corners with his right then the next one with his left!0 -
June, apologies...
Why don’t you ask him now?0 -
Seemingly Gregory Tade is training with us just now.

East Fife v Raith Rovers (28th Dec 2019)
in Scottish League 1 General Chatter

It’s a funny old thing the Fife Derbies. East Fife hate Raith but we don’t really care about them. Raith hate the Pars but the Pars hate Falkirk and don’t really care about Raith. Somewhere in the middle are Cowdenbeath who no one really care about.
