  1. I've been in there. It must be in the running for 'Most Overpriced Whisky Shop in the World' award.
  2. I was on Glenlivet 12 last night. I'm going to be slowly ramping up to better stuff on a daily basis...
  3. I've been booting the arse out of Whiskybroker recently. No more for me for a while.
  4. You can still get Edition 5 from their online shop. £95 plus £6 shipping. Sold out everywhere else unless you want to spend close to £200 I think.
  5. Distell were doing a free sampling in The Whisky Experience on Royal Mile a couple of weeks ago. Deanston, Bunnahabhain, Tobermory and Ledaig were the samples. Guy was very generous, think he was fed up talking to French rugby fans. Nips of Deanston 18, and 15 organic. Bunnahabhain 12, Tobermory 12, Ledaig 18. Fair cheered me up!
  6. Berry Bros & Rudd Sherry Cask back on Amazon special for £25. So quiet on here now, has everyone turned tee-total?
  7. Hope you got one. There were only 199 bottles available and sold out pretty quick. I've just noticed a couple of bottles back on again just now, maybe cancellations...if you're quick. https://www.whiskybroker.co.uk/70cl,-28yo-distilled-at-glen-grant-distillery-c-1-p-160
  8. Aye, they seem to have been doing the 'free delivery over £25' since about Christmas. Their prices vary wildly though I think. There's some good genuine bargains on there, but some of the 'discount' prices and a lot higher than 'normal' prices elsewhere. Balblair was good. A lot less 'corporate' feel to the tour compared to the one I did at Glenmorangie. I got a dram of the 12, 15 and 13 cask strength. Whiskybroker have got a Glen Grant 28 year cask strength bottle for £70 at the moment, if that tickles your fancy. £6.50 for shipping, but that's for up to 6 bottles and you can get them to 'hold' your bottle and ship for same price if you add another couple of bottles over the next few months.
  9. I did the tour there last year. Did a 'bottle your own' 13 year old bourbon, lovely stuff. I'm sipping it slowly. I've got a 12yr and 15yr on my shelf too, like them both. The 15yr is currently on special offer at LochFyne for £62.95 with free delivery for anyone interested.
  10. You can see it for sale it on Amazon fairly regularly
  11. Pay day has arrived, I've been wanting this for ages from Tyndrum/Green Welly whisky.
  12. Yeah I have one open and I ordered another this morning. Cant fall off at that price. Usually goes for about 32 and its worth that Kicking myself that I didn't buy another one when you told me, finished my last drop tonight. I'm too stingy to pay full price even though it's well worth £32.
  13. I paid £93 for it last year on an Amazon deal. Usually around £120 on Amazon and higher elsewhere. I'm in for another one, it's superb...cheers for that.
  14. I'd go full Tobermory 12 year Fino cask 19 year Marsala cask
  15. The Berry Bros sherry cask blend is an absolute steal at 24 quid. Buy that. It really is, I've still got a second one on the go from the last time they had the deal on. The first one didn't last long.
  16. Boys, So quiet on here recently, but I'm in for both of these on Amazon Black Friday: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QBCVCL4/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item Berry Brothers & Rudd Craigellachie 2006 Cask Speyside Single Malt Whisky 57.5% ABV, 70 cl £45.95 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QBCTRWG/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item Berry Brothers & Rudd Blair Athol 2007 Cask Highland Single Malt Whisky 55.2% ABV, 70 cl £40.80
  17. I've got a bottle on its last legs and I'll be sorry to see it go. A beautifully smokey dram. I loved it.
  18. Got this from Fyne Malts of Inveraray, lovely drop of stuff.
  19. My dearly departed Glendronach 18 has just gone to the great bottlebank in the sky. Will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. I got it for a touch over £70, but when I went looking for another it seems to have jumped in price to around the £100 mark. So I've went for the 12 year old at just under £35 instead. Who's tried it?
  20. Doesn't say 'the darkest' on the bottle or box any more, but here's the spiel from the product description Our 15 Years Old 'Darkest' is delicious on its own but to really bring out its rich fruitiness and that trademark Bowmore smokiness, enjoy it with some rich dark chocolate. See how the whisky's dark fruit and smoky aromas, its cedar wood and treacle toffee flavours and the cocoa-rich dark chocolate complement each other perfectly.
  21. They've also got Aberlour Casg Annamh on offer at £39 for anyone interested. I've got a bottle of that on the go, decent dram at that price.
  22. I keep seeing Bowmore 15 reduced at £39.99 on Amazon. I'm put off by the fact that the Bowmore 12 I had was meh at best. Any thoughts? the 15 is advertised as finished 3 years in sherry casks.
  23. I'm still enjoying a bottle of that, good price at £39. Couldn't convince myself to pay an extra £25 for the Distillers Edition. Anyone tried it? Did I make a mistake by being too stingy to pay £64.50? Is it £25 nicer then the standard 16 yo?
