  1. He was objectively awful. The commentary teams are obviously supporters of the home side but even a touch of professionalism isn't too much to ask. They certainly shouldn't be shouting at their players and the officials during the game which is what he did in our game. He kept shouting "Shoot" every few minutes, I thought it was a tourettey ticking type thing. Michty braw.
  2. Fermer? He was michty braw at co-commentating
  3. Cheers. I'll check that. As per Coprolite's reply, put a towel down and a pyrex dish/shallow bowl. Once you take the stopper out the wee hose it'll have a fair bit of water in it
  4. Chances are it's not the timer itself. More likely it's not draining the water efficiently enough. Have you checked for coins/fluff/tissues in the wee front filter at the bottom going to the sump hose?.
  5. That sounds good. I had a 13yo indy cask strength bottling from Whiskybroker. Non-chill filtered and no added colouring. Much more interesting than their core range, although it was a little bit too sweet to have more than one or two at a time.
  6. Some of the best sipping whisky value is when amazon put the set of 4 Berry Bros blends on discount. !0% off voucher, then subscribe and save for another 15% (throw in a 50p subscribe item). Order then delete subscription once delivered. Speyside and Peated £18.12, Islay £19.50, Sherry £22.46. Outstanding. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CNLN89Y/ref=sns_myd_detail_page
  7. Dumbarton's not in the Central Belt, who knew eh?
  8. The drive through Greenock West and into Gourock reminds me in architectural style of the drive through Newington, South Clerk Street and out to Cameron Toll (minus the river views).
  9. They won't see anything unless it's infected at that moment in time. Beclometasone to keep it at bay. If it's acute, betamethasone drops will get it shifted (Betnesol). Speak to your GP, the over the counter stuff is useless.
  10. Sinus problems, pound to a penny. Sterimar nasal spray for irrigation and a steroidy type nasal spray from your GP
  11. Amazon has got the Berry Bros & Rudd range of region blends on Deal of the Day. Outstanding value, I always like having these on the shelf https://www.amazon.co.uk/deal/f45c9a9d/ref=gbps_img_s-5_ee86_f45c9a9d?showVariations=true&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=4d58e4f8-6beb-496e-98d9-367dc243ee86&pf_rd_s=slot-5&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=KQQ62VFVEG6HX71FXGYG
  12. Sure Jose, sure sure sure What are all those single socks doing behind your bed, no wonder you mum couldn't get them all paired up.
  13. Haha I liked that, touche. P.S. You're still living with your mum and dad, amarite?
  14. No need to travel all the way there to answer the conundrum, it can be done right here on P&B. Answer: we both think you're a cockwomble.
  15. Id actually bought the single purchase at 55 and didnt clock the subscribe & save. Is that an anomaly? It almost always just shows the same price for both. Cancel the purchase and buy it again. If you click on subscribe it gives you a one off 10% discount. If you added another 4 items it gives 15% discount, but only for future purchases (not the one you're buying) Sometimes items only give you a discount if you're subscribing to 5 in total. That's the anomaly you'll have seen. Then just cancel the subscription once the bottle ships for £50
  16. If you do the subscribe & save, you can bag yourself the absolute bargain of Deanston 18 for £50 delivered https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deanston-Year-Single-Scotch-Whisky/dp/B013H3215S/ref=sr_1_1?crid=22GA9B7YERA6W&dchild=1&keywords=deanston+18&qid=1606851230&sprefix=deansto%2Caps%2C177&sr=8-1
  17. Aye, I've ordered it and the Peated one. Got the Islay cask earlier in the week for £20 too.
  18. Just bought the Ben Bracken 16 year-old Islay Single malt from Lidl in Port Glasgow, £34.99.
  19. £100 budget? Don't piss about, here's the one, keep the change: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Glenfarclas-Years-Single-Scotch-Whisky/dp/B001GLO8AU
  20. BBC News channel reporting just now on English exam grades. They've put a graphic up and talked us through how Scotland u-turned last week on both A-Level & GCSE results.
  21. The 'taster pack' bottles tend to be from the same distillery family and as mentioned, is a relatively expensive way to do it. Master of Malt will do measures of 'packs' or you can select your own samples https://www.masterofmalt.com/tasting-set/drinks-by-the-dram/regions-of-scotland-whisky-tasting-set/?utm_content=drinks-by-the-dram/regions-of-scotland-whisky-tasting-set&currencyCode=GBP&utm_source=database&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=mom_base_1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsuGsk_2V6wIVOYBQBh1_wQEaEAQYASABEgJUBfD_BwE Cgars do a monthly subscription if you fancy that https://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/cigarblog/whisky-subscription-6639/ But to be honest, I started by buying the distillers age statements from supermarkets that were discounted to around the £25 mark, and kept my eye out for deal of the day on amazon at around the same price mark, free delivery https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/deals/ref=gbps_ftr_s-4_0ae6_wht_35858303?tag=22&gb_f_todaysdeals=dealStates:AVAILABLE%2CWAITLIST%2CWAITLISTFULL%2CUPCOMING%2CEXPIRED%2CSOLDOUT,dealTypes:DEAL_OF_THE_DAY%2CLIGHTNING_DEAL%2CBEST_DEAL,sortOrder:BY_SCORE,enforcedCategories:358583031&pf_rd_p=332a3804-7d7f-4c59-934d-6b61bbbc6e70ae6&pf_rd_s=slot-4&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=KG4JJ68AJCWRJ5SYWCCV&ie=UTF8
