  1. Nah you didn’t. It’s your carefree joyous side coming out of you at last, freeing itself of its miserable carcass. Embrace it!
  2. When you see the list of players out that’s where it really hits home to me how McPake has had his hands tied. When Fisher got his injury that’s been the straw that’s broke the camels back and then brought on these two disastrous games we’ve just had. At Tannadice we did really well, but then two games of dross. Two things still stand in my opinion. We went into this season light in numbers, and have been caught out, we continued to run light in the window and again have been caught out. We ran light last season on both windows and got lucky with very few injuries. In my opinion, that’s not a manager thing, that’s a board thing. I’m sure if McPake had been offered more players in each of those windows, hed have snapped your hand off, with increasing ferocity each window that passes. Injuries, I’ve never known it so severe, this is incredible. Hes lost his 3 best players almost all season, and only Edwards and Chalmers have had an injury free run, and we’re just gone past halfway point in the season. It’s just such bad luck. with both of those in mind, McPake still gets plenty of time to put it right. I understand the frustration from many, but the challenge is what changes could he make with such a tight personnel? For me his success last season came from ability to change things when it was tight, this season he’s simply not been able to do that. I have very little confidence that a new coach would do that much better with the current situation.
  3. Chalmers often started ahead of Hamilton last season. for me the key is Otoo. Get him out of defence and into midfield and that’s a game changer.
  4. I’ll take you back to one of my previous posts - it all depends on how results are. The worse the results, the more utter dross folk post, and it almost becomes true by virtue of so many taking it and letting it grow. We go and win the next 3 games, then trust me it all goes very quiet again.
  5. All the forums and social media are absolutely full of it.
  6. Like I say, I’d hope that’s what that meant but we may never know full ins and outs. As for the patrons meeting, it was interesting that before the Morton game, there wasn’t a sniff of dissatisfaction from those who attended from the rumours on social media and on here, but after a 5-0 scudding, it was then circulated that the patrons were indeed very concerned and unhappy. It’s almost as if football fans are notoriously fickle and mood is dependent on results.
  7. John Hughes resigned - that was a statement that appeared in the previous accounts. I’d like to think that means no payout. There will be a loss this year no doubt about it, but look forward to Callum’s summary as these things can be more about movements of assets (leases/building work etc) which hides the underlying picture.
  8. Thats incorrect. The season when AJ got the bullet returned a loss of around £500k if I recall right. The aim may have been to record a small profit each year pre gmbh however that one season wiped out a shed load of cash. That was the sliding doors season after loss at Tannadice the season before in the playoffs. The board handed AJ a long term deal when many felt he’d taken us as far as he could.
  9. I’m gonna hang fire til the first Champions League group game at East End, then I’m coming over. We’d still be able to win the group despite an early bodying, I just wanna hear the CL music before the announcer fks it all up with that dreadful remix
  10. Look lads, it’s all fine. Thats me back in the USA now, and my record supporting the Pars while being here, versus my record whilst in Scotland is quite simply outstanding. Check these stats out. Over three periods in the last couple of years my record while being stateside is:- Played 25 Won 18 Drew 7 Lost 0 Good news, I’m here til July with the current plan. That should be plenty for us to pull out of relegation, secure 4th, body the dross in the playoffs, and then secure a place in the 24/25 Premier League season. Just in time for me to return and then capture the essence of a Derby County style top flight season! Strap yourselves in boys!!!
  11. Apologies for any extra seethe caused. To be fair when I heard that chat between him and Sutherland about “safe from relegation” it took a second to realise relegation from League 1 ffs.
  12. Hmm tempting, but no. I’m not quite off the McPake bus just yet, im thinking more blame on our board for not backing him with signing experienced players that we are crying out for. I don’t even think he (Bartley) talks that well tbh, when I listen to him I just can’t imagine your players being able to pay attention for more than 5 mins before zoning out like f**k. And a lot of what he says is just nonsense or cliched. It’s a shame it’s not working out but at what point is the trigger pulled? Right now has a feel of dead man walking.
  13. Alright lads, coming in peace here. I was prompted to have a look in to see what your thoughts are on Marvin so far. I heard him on the BBC Scotland podcast the other day after your defeat v Hamilton, and thought he came across as flippant about your current placing and performances. I’m not surprised to read some of the comments match my expectation - that he is struggling to keep support onside. From the outside looking in, surely he can’t have many poor results left before a decision has to be made?
  14. Watching that back, those goals are even worse. Holy fck . Cant make up my mind which of the 5 is the more comical.
  15. a few things - rot had set in before German investment took full charge, saw McArthurs name a few posts ago praising his running of the club. Could be argued that his latter years in charge saw a start of the slide ending his last year as Chair with relegation. - who is the key decision maker on recruitment? We’ve been crying out for an experienced centre back all season. To not get one in that window looks a potentially terminal decision - I don’t think the system is necessarily the problem, it’s the slow predictable style of play, and personnel we use! - McPake hasn’t gone from being superb in turning round a failed squad last year to being a clueless numpty this year, but the issues identified last year (and previous) still persist. Lack of goal scoring, Wighton, Chalmers, Mehmet and McCann all found wanting at this level. Hes the one sanctioning players staying at the club and extending deals. Today he let the new lads sink. Disgraceful management to allow that defensive combo to continue so long. I don’t understand why he didn’t change it earlier, he did it previously and wasn’t scared to change, why not today? How many games does McPake get before he has to go? No wins at home to QP and Arbroath must mean a change is necessary, surely?
  16. Maybe so, but you didn’t even need to do anything else. I’ll bet that wasn’t even the best you’ve played this season? Because you didn’t HAVE to go up a gear. Take your praise and have a chug ffs
  17. Don’t for one second be offended bud. Physical, determined, first to every ball, no risks taken, thumping the ball into areas the opposition don’t want it, a bunch of experienced warrior like players who don’t give up or go looking for fouls. Led by someone who behaved like a leader. With leaders on the park too. Unlike our wee boys today.
  18. Aye. Everyone in the stadium could see the problem within 5 minutes. apart from our management team. Morton played exactly how I’d want a team with their players to play. And it absolutely rinsed our wee boys.
  19. We got away with one there. Seriously that could have been much worse , delighted it wasn’t double figures. Never mind, we go again
  20. Fair bit of flooding in the KY1 area last night but nothing to affect us.
  21. Just been picked up by Courier too. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/4884684/dunfermline-fc-reject-bid-josh-edwards-barnsley/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social probably because it was so out there and unprompted it felt like it had a bit of truth about it.
  22. That is indeed a cracker of a move. Watched him play in the MLS last year and he did well, this level SHOULD be a breeze.
